I wouldn't even rate them one star! They showed up three days later than appointed! Brought wrong materials.. went 1400$ over original appraisal, partially finished the job. Wouldn't recommend!

We needed to get a new heating system and water boiler installed at the house immediately because of issues from the old system. Mark and his teammates were great. Very professional, on time and just a meticulous job done. They even swept the garage after they were done. Additionally, after completing the job, they contacted the gas company and stayed until everything was turned back on. Great job!

We are new to the area and needed some upgrading to the house we purchased. Ended up using General Mechanical on 3 separate projects in the past year. First up was the installation of central air in the house. I am pretty fussy about how this would look given that they had to retrofit a Cape Cod style house and I was very impressed by the careful initial design and planning that made the actual installation as unobtrusive as possible. Their crew was on time, very polite and accommodating to our schedule and needs. Cleanup after each days work was great. Their work performed was very neat, straight, well insulated...thorough. After installation there was a slight but annoying ""humming"" in one of the return air vents. The owner came out to inspect personally, had his guy back the next day to fix it. Great follow-up service.

Our other projects have been as small as installing through the wall vents for the microwave and dryer to most recently putting in baseboard heat in a basement rec room and workshop and installing additional baseboard in a room upstairs that was always a little cool. Again, creative planning and neat high quality work by really professional technicians.

In addition, here's a great story...

They broke one of my mezuzahs (the thing many Jews hang on their door posts). They really apologized, and felt so bad. I said, no big deal! The next day, I looked at and thought that if they had a glass cutter, I could actually fix it and salvage it (it was from Israel, so if I could save it, I'd rather that). I figured with all the equipment they had going in and out of the house, they could fix it in 2 seconds.

Today, one of the guys told me that he went online and ordered me a new one. Paid for it out of his own pocket. He didn't even know what a mezuzah was, but he looked it up to figure it out, and ordered me one. Holy cow! So nice.

That's GREAT customer service.

I used General Mechanical Contractors 3 times this year and I can testify that my experience was absolutely great.They installed the new high efficiency condensing boiler in my Cape Cod house, they fixed the leak in the air conditioning system in my Worcester house and also, I asked if they can install 7kw stand by generator for my Worcester house and they did.
Every job was done very professionally, on time and for the reasonable price. I recommended General Mechanical to my friends and response from them was absolutely great.
