Will be reporting to BBB and filing claim. Totally unnecessary but their refusal to even call and attempt to solve their error (documented in photos by my ac company and by me) leaves no option. Do not use, at least some of their service personnel likely couldn't pass ac service 101!

What wonderful customer service! I just had a new AC unit installed today by Erick H and his partner. I let them in, went to work and then they called me when they left so I could go back and lock my house. I got home tonight and went to take a shower and my showers wouldn't turn on. I thought maybe they turned something off and forgot to turn it back on so I called their answering service and they called Erick to see if he knew why this was occurring. He came right over within 20 mins and fixed it. Something he could have told me to do over the phone but he came over at 8pm himself to do it. Exceptional service!

I had a toilet that had come lose and need to be reset. at 4 PM on a Friday night call 4 plumbers and no one answered the phone of got their answering service. I live in Hunters Ridge and had seen a new company that had opened up in front of our entrance. So I drove out there and their front door was open but no one at the front desk. I asked if anyone was there and a fellow came out and asked if he could help me. I explaned my problem and asked if he could do it Monday and he checked their schedule and said they could. So I gave him all the info. Monday Bob called and said he was on his way over so I met him had the house. He had already gotten they and had the toilet removed and was putting on a new flange. He then reset the toilet and then told me that the tube in the tank was busted off that someone had glued it on but need to be replaced. He then suggested that I purchase a new toilet for under $150. at Home Depot and he would install on Monday. He asked for a check for $240.00. He did put on the receipt $240.00 and then new toilet flange call for install $125.00. When re returned on Monday he installed the new toilet and asked for $125.00. He said $240.00 was for installing the new flange and resetting the toilet. That is a total of $365.00 that I paid which is absurd. He tried to clean up but did a terrible job of that.

This is a rip off company,they send inexperienced technicians out that can't diagnosis they order a part then send a different technician out to put it in,when that part doesn't work they make up and excuse until they get it fixed,but still charge you for the incorrect part. The office staff doesn't know the first thing about ac work. This whole company is crooked and unethical.

I am very unsatisfied with my recent General Air experience. First, this is a fairly new AC unit (over $5000), and to have to replace such a large component so early is a little fishy (with regular maintenance checks done twice a year). Second, I was told that the part would be able to be installed on Monday 10/17, which it wasn't. Third, the technician arrived 20-30 minutes AFTER the 3 HOUR (11am-1pm) window of arrival, I had to cancel a Dr appointment and find someone else to pick up my child from school. Fourth, the technician walked into my home 3 times and never wore shoe covers (thanks a lot). Fifth, he was on the phone on and off during the installation (speaking Spanish, so could have been personal), so since he does use his phone very often, I'm sure he could have called to let me know that he was delayed (an excuse the manager gave me, that he was too busy on his last job to relay to me or the office that he was going to be late). Instead I called the office at 12:45pm to find out what was going on, and they had no idea, they had to call the tech then tell me he was at the shop picking up the part. Sixth, $750 is WAY too high of a charge for 3 hours of service and some Freon, oh AND a $59 service call fee, WITH a service agreement. There are a few of your technicians that I am very happy with, such as the nice man that stopped by to detect the original problem on Sunday, 10/16, but this last experience makes me really want to take my business elsewhere. As a customer, a long time customer, I would expect to be treated as a valued customer by a professional business, and my experience was not professional and very unsatisfying.

We have had a mixed experience with General Air. On the positive side, they answer after hours service calls and arrive when they say they will. On the negative side, their staff provide conflicting analysis and recommendations. For instance, when told we needed to install a new line set to replace our in-ground and in the wall line, they proceeded to replace with another in-ground line set. Several months after installing the new line set, the AC failed again and the technician on the initial service visit said, 'the newly installed line set is leaking'. The next day General sends a more senior technician who says 'your new line set is fine; however your evaporator cooler is damaged and needs to be replaced'. When I tried to speak to the manager to express my frustration with their mixed messages, Greg was never available and I was told, 'its hard to say when he'll be in the office'. Clearly, he is a manager he prefers not to deal with customers.

Called emergency service 7+ times as our AC started blowing warm air at around 8 pm... still, almost 24 hours later, with 3 screaming kids in 85 degree indoor temperature with no sleep... nothing! Maybe the service used to be good, but no longer the case. We've been told someone would call us back each time we made a phone call and they said there is nothing else that could be done. And - get this - we have a yearly maintenance plan we pay for. Really makes you feel good to be a valued customer.

All of them at General from the first phone call, and after the installation was a stress free adventure! They are """" Should I say it ?"""" HONEST!! I was treated very kindly, and I can say they actually cared! They weren't out to """"Pad their wallet"""" , my purchase of a whole new AC unit was very reasonable! The installers were very pleasant and humorous , I highly recommend General Air and plumbing ,,!!!
