It dawned on me that heating/cooling/plumbing companies rarely have customers that give them a ""high five"", or a ""good job"" or ""thank you for your service"" type of review.. so I decided to write one.

Had an issue on a EcoFlush Toilet, model, B8100. LOVE the fact that there is NO water floating around the flushing mechanism inside the toilet tank. Been working like a dream for years. People that see this toilet are MYSTIFIED BY THE TOILET. They wonder how it works and unbeknownst to me have even tried to disconnect the unit in the back to see how it works! ""of all THE...! !*!!"" Humans are curious so they can't resist.

Alex Ortega, an employee of General was the attending service technician and he was able to assess the situation without even touching a thing! How? His many many years of experience! Turns out it was a really simple solution. The fact that he was able to share the knowledge with me was fantastic! Sure, there was a $99 service call fee. But I'm just grateful that it wasn't more!

This company is not the cheapest company in the Coachella Valley but they are FIVE STAR EPIC and they know their stuff. They schedule you in quickly. They arrive on time. They get the job done.

I had you out for a plumbing problem dating back to the fall 2020 and 5 different times techs came out and tried to fix my shower drain and never fixed the issue finally I called roto rooter and they were able to diagnose the issue and fix the problem the same day. Very disappointed with the plumbing service provided. Mostly with the amount of wasted time each time someone came out I had to take time off of work which costs me a paycheck and then I have to pay for nothing to get fixed. However, I still had a maintenance plan for my air conditioner so I had a tech come out for the routine check before summer and they determined that it needed to be replaced. I understand because it was very old so I went with a new Lennox system. The install went fine but now two times I've had to call because the ac is not putting out cold air for whatever reason. I'm beyond frustrated, can your company do anything correctly the first time. To make matters worse I'm active duty military and I'm currently deployed so I have to get my spouse to handle this recurrent issue. Would not recommend you to my worst enemy.

But without any issue at all, the General's Technicians came to our home in a such professional respectful manner. They were clean, knowledgeable with all the proper equipment and skills. No BS, no jerking you around, just taking care of business. In a perfect world this would be the norm, but sadly this is not so in the world we live in. But with the General Air Conditioning & Plumbing they're an honest, credible, hardworking company that's looking out for their customer. We called the General for a outside gas leak. They came out and were friendly, showed them where we thought the leak was. They pressure test the line and found leak. The gave me a bid of $3500 and asked me to sign a contract. I told no thanks, they sent me a bill for $639 dollars for two hours
Work. I had the leak fixed for $200. I would not call these people, even if my home was under water. I would recommend this general

The service men are very nice - however, they work on commission and always find something you need to purchase. They are pricey and pushy . The last time, they said I needed all new air ducts for over $10,000 - they never sent the estimate - even though I called and asked for it. Even they knew it was wrong!! Do not recommend them.

I needed a new AC unit as mine went kaput. I ended up going with General Air Conditioning as they are the local company used by Costco HVAC. My initial experience with General Air Conditioning started off very positive. On the day of my scheduled AC install, it all went downhill. And kept going downhill for the next two days.

On the day of my scheduled install, a Friday, I was told they would arrive between 8-9 am. I called at 11 am asking when they would arrive. I was told they had me scheduled for the following week. I read the email confirmation I had for that date to the installation staff. An hour later I received a call that they would be sending the crew in the next hour. By the time the crew arrived, it was a little after 2 pm. I asked the crew if they would be able to finish the install that day and they assured me they would. Cue 30 minutes later the crew telling me that the incorrect AC unit had been ordered. I spoke to the woman I initially dealt with and she was extremely apologetic. She was able to locate a better unit and would not charge me for the upgrade. The better unit would be available on Monday. It was Friday afternoon. So for the weekend I would be without AC. They offered to pay for a hotel. In the end we agreed upon them bringing out two portable AC units for use over the weekend. The portable AC units finally arrived by 7 pm. I

Monday morning I received a call around 9 am that they would be on their way soon. It was again around 2 pm when they showed up. At 1045 pm, (yes, 1045 PM!) they finally left for the night. They had issues with the thermostat wire. The thermostat wire was left running from the unit in my house out the front door and to the unit on the roof. They said they would be back in the morning to complete things.

Tuesday morning at 11 am I called the office to ask about arrival time to complete my install. I was told I would get a call back. At 1 pm I called to ask what was happening. I was told the crew would probably be there between 4-6 pm. Nobody seemed to have a clue that my job was not finished nor did finishing my job seem to be a priority.

The company is recommended through Costco for AC installation. I think Costco is pretty careful regarding with whom they contract. Regretting my choice of using General Air Conditioning. While I appreciate that they tried to make things right when they noted they had ordered the wrong unit, I've now wasted three days on an AC install. I had to take today off work to sit here waiting for them to complete this job. I imagine a more organized company would have had this done on the first day. Considering calling another company just to finish the job. There has been one too many mishaps with this company. Call anyone but General.
