Wow! Keith just left my house and I am so impressed. He was efficient, knowledgeable and thorough. Diagnosed the problem immediately and set to work. May have saved my hot water tank from certain failure. It's so wonderful to find a company that has quality employees that know what they are doing.
Complete sh*t place to go for plumbing. The guy comes in for 5-10 mins tops, sits in your driveway for half an hour, tells you he will send a quote but never does, then charges you $72.50. Probably to buy cigarettes. Do not go here, they overcharge you. Good luck finding actual business guys..
Jake S.I had my hot water heater go up. It was leaking a little, so I decided to call Gemmill. I received a return call within 15 minutes of leaving a VM. They were happy to come out, however it was either going to be after hours or next day. The lady mentioned that it would cost more for after hours, so I knew up front what the cost would be. However, I left another message for another plumber who called me back as well. He was able to make it out within an hour to replace the hot water heater. I understand that Gemmill was busy at the time, but they were very responsive. Quicker than the others. Sometimes price does not matter. If I didn't have the convenience of the other plumber coming out, I would have used Gemmill after hours. I would recommend them to anyone as far as customer service goes. They are top notch. I will use them in the future when needed

I called them to check my well pump as PECO suggested that an issue with it might be the cause of a high electric bill. Their technician spent well under an hour, found nothing.
I just received a bill for $267! Absolutely ludicrous.
Do yourself a favor and shop around. I checked with other plumbers in the area and a basic service call runs about $125.
They can be very expensive, beware. If you decide to have them do the work be sure you know the cost first.
Cynthia M.I was billed $72.50 for a job that took 10min tops and had a $.50 O ring replaced to stop a leak. I had called Gemmill's because the leak was in an area where a pipe had been broken in August of 2013 while the borough was replacing my water meter and they had a plumber from Gemmill's come out to fix it. The service manager Keith finally got on the phone after repeated calls to the business where I was being told he would call me when he returned to the shop but I could not get a definitive time. Once I suggested that I felt like I was being blown off, Keith immediately got on the phone (it turned out he was there the entire time, surprise), I told him that I needed someone to come out and address the leak and that I felt there should not be a charge, if I were to be charged it should be minimal. I feel the invoice I was sent was exorbitant just for spite and although Keith said the leak was not from the repair. The O ring was next to the PRV, cost $.50, the business is around the corner and the labor was minimal, 10 min. tops. I had a heating and air conditioning company come from Dallastown 2 days later perform a PM on my heating system, replace a part and the labor was 75min. and the charge was $138.50. You be the judge. Gemmill's only warrants their work for 1 yr. not a great warranty on pipes not leaking after work has been done. Keith has exhibited how NOT to treat a customer, showed very poor customer service skills. I don't need to sully their reputation, Keith can do that on his own with his attitude toward the customer. I will be happy to share my experience should anyone ask me about it.
