Had water heater replaced. Next morning we woke to the basement smelling strongly of gas. We had to evacuate our home per the Gas Company. The Gas company showed within 15 minutes and had to fixed a leak due to poor workmanship on the installation of the water heater. We contacted Geisel that day and we're told by the receptionist she would give the information to a manager. We have yet to hear back.
Michele H.I had been dealing with another HVAC contractor for years and it was a nightmare. Recently I had a boiler leak in my home and this different company not only failed to repair the issue they weren't truthful in that they actually caused the leak! Frustrated I contacted Geisel. Bryon, their boiler expert, came the following day and not only quickly diagnosed the issue he explained in detail the problem. Bryon was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable! I learned more about my boiler and it's maintenance in one day from Bryon than I'd ever learned from the previous ""other"" company! I was shocked at the price not because it was exorbitant but because it was so reasonable! I had been used to this other company gouging their prices. I couldn't be happier with Geisel and in one day they've earned not only my business but my trust as well!!
Their service tech, Brian Miller, came to the home of my elderly parents to check their A/C which was not working. He provided a list of components that were ""bad"" and advised replacing the whole package for over $8,000. A relative who knows a little bit about these type of issues went to their home and discovered that all that was wrong was a blown fuse. A/C is working fine again after fuse replacement. Shame on these businesses for preying on the elderly. Special place in you know where for these kinds of people. Karma!
David E.I have a First Energy home service contract and they have contacted Fred's to perform repairs to my furnace(2x's), hot water tank(2x's), and heat pump(1x) 5 times over the past 5 years. All the services were completed within 24-36 hours of placing the calls. The service techs were pleasant to work with and seem to know what needed to be done to make necessary repairs. Thank you Sam for wearing a mask and gloves during your last visit, these are trying times!!
Maryann C.First time using this company, Had issues with my boiler. Dave was the technican who did my service and he was excellent, My boiler is very old but still working fine but there was a part missing.He was not able to locate the part because it is discontinued, however he came out a second time to show me all of the safety features of the boiler and how to use them, even drew me a diagram, Also he put up my CO detector near the boiler. He is very dedicated to his work and truely is concerned about safety. This job was under a Dominion Energy warranty service,but this company was very prompt in responding, came out the next day from when I called. Great company , Great Service! Thank you
Sadly they screwed up our appointment date. Pretty furious about this...considering I had to take time away from work to wait for them to service our furnace. Didn't find out they screwed up until I called wondering where the heck they were. They showed no sympathy or offered any discount on future services. We'll be going with someone else.
Alex P.Lazy plumber with no skills. I had the misfortune of this company getting getting assigned to my home warranty claim for two bathroom sink faucets and on my tub. The person sent out has absolutely no business being called a plumber. He was not able to take apart either simple Kohler sink, but thought he could get similar replacements...I'm happy to get them replaced but sheesh, you can't even take it apart and try tightening?
Then before trying to look at the upstairs tub plumbing at all, he started to sell me on how there's nothing he can, he'd charge $1,500-$3,000 to repair the tub, and maybe I should just redo the whole bathroom. When I told him I'm not interested in that and I just want the tub repaired, he went out to his van for over an hour, then came back in to tell me his boss doesn't want him touching it,"" even with access he would not look at it. I did remove the panel and he still wouldn't even go upstairs again! He instead falsely reported it as a ""jacuzzi"" without access to the home warranty company to so my claim would be denied. That's completely untrue, it's a regular soaking tub, and there is an access door (pictured) that I offered to open up.
I then called the dispatcher who arranged the appointment with me to report this behavior, and complain about wasting three hours of my work day to get absolutely nothing accomplished. They didn't want to hear any of it, kept talking to me about not being a carpenter (totally irrelevant) and that even with access he doesn't have knowledge of bath tubs. Really??! THEN HOW IS HE A PLUMBER?! I have absolutely no plumbing expertise but it took me all of 30 seconds to loosen the hose.
Now I've been on the phone with HSA home warranty for over an hour (and still am) trying to refute the false information given for denying my claim. If ""Pete"" didn't want to work today, he should have just stayed home.
I can't speak for the other services this company offers, but if you are in need of a plumber: do yourself a favor and call ANYONE else!
I am so grateful! I left a message late at night and was called back first thing the next morning to schedule an appointment. The technician, Tim, was very professional and was able to get us going again. We were so happy! Thank you!
Furnace went out on the first coldest day; the technician (Tim) came out on Sunday evening (within his estimated time frame); quickly identified the problems; fixed one but didn't have the part for the other and said he'd be out Monday. Came back Monday (within estimated time frame) fixed the furnace immediately; very nice; didn't try to talk me into replacing the entire unit (which I was afraid he'd do). I will definitely recommend this business and use again if needed.
