Unprofessional. Poor communication. Poor quality of work and ZERO pride of workmanship. Replaced a sewer line that ran from basement to outside in the backyard. Left our basement and everything in it COVERED in concrete dust- no sheeting to contain the dust and NO clean-up. After visits to camera inspect and quote the work to be done, partway through the project they claimed they could no longer work to the quoted plan and charged an additional $2200.00 for additional work. The hole that was dug outside for the new line was covered at the completion of the project but clearly was not properly back filled as several weeks later we now have a large sink hole in the middle of our backyard. Three other homes in our neighborhood had the same work done by other contractors during the same time period- no sink holes on their properties. But Geiger says it is not their problem. They will also tell you it is not their problem if they do damage to your home or property as well. DO NOT use this company if you don't want people who do not care about providing quality work or commit to proper completion of a job.
I can't say enough about Geiger. I had a significant leak in my house. The leak was coming from upstairs down into first floor closet. Spoke with Nancy at the office who was very helpful and informative. That same day she sent Steve to address the problem. Steve identified the problem quickly. There was a crack in the stack pipe. He assured me
It would not be a problem to fix. He replaced with PVC pipe. Of course the wall had to be taken down but he was very neat and cleaned up the mess. Steve was wonderful!
In and out in about two hours. So very pleased.
We had Geiger Plumbing sent to our home today through a company that sends businesses out through an insurance that can be bought for utilities. We thought we were looking at months of work because of possibly needing our basement floor dug up as well as our entire yard. Thankfully that wasn't the case. We can't remember the man's name that showed up for Geiger Plumbing but he was on time, really polite and very efficient. After about 45 minutes, the problem was fixed and he was on his way! We'd definitely recommend Geiger Plumbing to anyone needing their services!
Geiger Plumbing replaced our hot water heater. They were prompt, courteous and professional. I would recommend them.
Excellent response and service! Called them with a Water heater problem. Nancy guided me through reset and potential easy fixes. She was excellent over the phone. When the easy ones failed a technician arrived the next day with the needed part and I had hot water. I would highly recommend them
I needed a replacement water heater, and Geiger was prompt in setting up an appointment. I read one of their negative reviews and was a bit concerned, but their serviceman, Mike, was very professional and seemed knowledgeable. Installation went smoothly. So far so good.
I called them to have a water hammer fixed. I figured, while they're out here, why not have the plumber do a couple of small jobs, like install an ice maker? The plumber said he needed to order a part for the water hammer. I didn't hear from him for about four months.
I got a call from a secretary asking why we hadn't paid the invoice. We hadn't gotten an invoice. By this time, I was fairly sick of them, so I told them no, don't bother to come out and fix the water hammer. Just today, I got the invoice. FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS for installing the ice maker and a flap (we had the equipment) and NOT fixing a water hammer. That is insane. No apology for completely forgetting about us. They've lost themselves a customer for good.
Robert W.Very impressed with service today from Geiger Plumbing.
We had a clogged main sewer line in basement floor that was backing up the stack and overflowing the main floor toilet. I originally called in Mr Rooter because I saw an ad for cleaning out any drain for $79. When they showed up they said we need to put in a sewer clean out and then they would try to unclog for $650. I knew we needed a clean out, I asked if our protection plan from American Water would cover it and the tech from Mr Rooter told me it wouldn't cover sewer line repair inside the house. I fell for it and we shelled out the money. After they put the clean out in, they snaked the line to 5 feet and said there was a solid obstruction and would have to dig up the line and spot repair at a cost of $4250. I told them I would call the protection policy company.
I called American Water, they arranged for Geiger plumbing to come out the next morning. The tech was here 15 minutes before promised. I related the problem to him and he said he would try to clear the line first. He brought in a much heavier drain opener and within 15 minutes had cleared out the clog or roots that Mr Rooter said they couldn't do. He then cleaned out not only that line but the floor drain as well for 30 ft. I now have a fully flowing sewer for $50 thanks to the protection plan. The tech also cleaned up not only his mess, but the mess the other plumber left also.
I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again, Thanks for your great service.
Gideon G.This is the worst plumbing company of all time! This guy took forever to replace my pipe when the sewer pipe collapsed. Then, he left a huge hole in the yard, covered it with ply wood and then left it like that for 5 months. It still isn't filled. Last week I had a call from his poor secretary, who has to deal with the complaints, who told me that it would finally be filled in. It has been a week since the day she told me it would be filled and, still no sign of this jerk. He has an emergency phone number that he never answers. The one time he answered this number and he acted like I should never call that number. He gets his business from the water and sewer insurance so, he does not care if we complain about him because he will still get business from the insurance company. What a jerk. My property has rats going into and living in the hole that he left there for 5 months! Who knows how long it will take him to fill the hole.
Toni B.If you have a warranty covering your lines or sewer I would not recommend this company to do the work. The first day they came out all was good they cleared my top yard pipe. I have a 2 teir yard which they knew. The worker left and their secretary, real nice lady , calls and says they don't know what our policy covers. We knew our bottom teir pipe was cracked. I gave her the company's number. She said she needed to have the boss look at the job . For 10 days we waited for them to return and finish the job while we played phone tag. Today they finally came with a huge backhoe to dig a 4'x4'x18"" hole which took 2 1/2 hours. And replace a small pipe in the top yard. 3 hours later the boss shows up . Looks at the 2nd teir and say we can' t dig down there you need to take out like 50 sapling trees and dig up all the roots. My husband had already dug down to the pipe by hand. But because they did not want to do handwork they said they could not complete the job. They ran us around for 10 days did half the job and now says they have to talk to the warranty company again. They knew all the facts from day one. Now tomorrow I will have to finish the job myself. Very unprofessional when they take a contract with a warranty company they should know all it covers . There response was they had15 other jobs he was doing what he could do. Not good enough. They should have said something 10 days ago.
