***SCAM ALERT!!!!!*** This company sold me on their "sonar leak detection" services at 400/hr. The guys sat on the ground at the water main w/o any special equipment and then after an hour (and a 400.00 bill) told me he couldn't hear anything it was too windy. He was also supposed to fix my leaking shower faucet but told me he wasn't qualified to do that repair either.

I hired an irrigation company and they fixed the problem outdoor leak in 20 min.

These folks are con artists, stay far away. They just came out and quoted me $2500 to replace a standard water heater. Bunch of jokers wasting people's time, and the ones who agree to it are getting robbed. Shame on y'all.

We had our post tension foundation repaired and lifted this past summer. As standard after a lift, there is a need for a hydrostatic test to determine if there is any plumbing breaks. Glenn and his team at GC did the test and uncovered multiple leaks in our drainage pipes. They ran diagnostics to locate all the leaks and then burrowed under our home in August to repair them all.

This all took a great deal of coordination with our foundation repair company. It was certainly not an easy or small job and we were very satisfied with the work done and customer service throughout.

We have since used GC for other non-related plumbing needs.

I've used GC Plumbing for three different jobs now, and they've done a great job every time! I really appreciate the hard work they do.

Their guy showed up, checked out the problem (thermo-coupler replacement), then spent 30 minutes sitting in his van writing an estimate that was WAAYYY OVERPRICED.

I sent him packing & won't have anymore of my time wasted by this bs company!

GC Plumbing is a solid company with great people. Do not be alarmed by the 1 and 2 star reviews. People, like intelligence, varies, and honestly most of these "issues" in the negative reviews could have been resolved with the owners or service requestors spending a little more time researching or asking questions. To the person wanting the thermal valve removed - it's there for your safety. Don't ask a plumber to remove this. It's a job you can/should do yourself so when you burn yourself or your family with water over 120 it's on you. As far as the expensiveness goes, you get what you pay for, folks! Case in point, we had a kitchen faucet and food grinder installed for around $300 from a big box store. We then had to pay another $600 to have it fixed by GC. Which they did happily and with full explanation of all issues and work. Before you start grumbling or think we're not bright ourselves, bear in mind they also installed two items the big box contractor wouldn't and fixed the shoddy work he did. Yes, GC has a $69 "show up" charge to diagnose and provide a 19-point inspection. They clearly advertise it. You know what else they do, they clearly heed your desire not to have the 19 point inspection performed. If $69 breaks your budget, ask if it can be credited against the service call? These folks are knowledgeable and helpful, and most of all unlike most "trades" they actually answer the phone and show up when they say they are going to.

I originally wasn't going to post this review, but after discovering the techs adjusted my water heaters without my request or consent, I feel compelled to warn other would be customers.

*Be aware of the $69 dispatch fee*. They will charge this regardless of whether they provide the diagnoses, info or repairs you requested. When I objected and called their office, the first thing out of her mouth was "We record all calls, we have you on tape." Who does that? Suspicious and unethical.

Worth noting that I invited the 2 gentlemen into my home to bid on a water heater, a shower valve replacement and a thermal valve replacement. They proceeded to tell me they were going to look over my entire house to which I said "I don't want that, I only want the bid for water heater, shower & thermal valves." They said "It's just something we do", not once mentioning that I was paying for this busy work I never requested. After being told they would not remove the thermal valve I said "Ok, I'm going to hire someone else. Thank you for your time." The tech then said I put his family at risk because his license could be revoked blah blah blah, to which I replied "I'm not hiring you. How am I putting your family at risk?" He continued to mutter to his colleague that his info was valuable and some other grumblings. He really seemed to want confrontation. It got a little tense, but by that point I was willing to give them $69 to never have to deal with them again.

Feel so taken advantage of. Called a local company to snake out my kitchen sink. The nice young man spent almost an hour looking at every piece of plumbing in the house, comes back with a quote of $1356 to fix all our problems. Then when I asked how much for just the kitchen sink - $359. I said no and was then charged $69 for the estimate.

First and last time I will ever call GC Plumbing.

No complaints about the service that was performed arrived during the promised window and wore protective clothing. My only problem with this company is that their rate turns out to be twice as much as anywhere else as we learned when we checked later. My mistake! Over $400 for a 45-minute job cleaning out a clogged drain regardless of what some job book says is just too much. Angie's List quotes that job is between 109 to 214 on average.
Not recommended.

My mother here in Lago Vista Texas had GC come out on Monday, March 30th, 2020 to replace an old and leaky outdoor faucet. They had done the same for me a year or so ago for around $200. The GC employee at my mom's place looked at the fixture and then came back and told her it would be $1100.00. My mother is 81 on and on her own now and doing things my dad used to do. She was stunned...but with no knowledge of what a true and honorable cost should be...she signed their electronic work order on a notepad. The job took an hour to an hour and a half...and it was only one GC employee there. I find it hard to believe that a replacement faucet, $70 service call and the time of the GC employee could honorably come to $1100. We have asked for a copy of the work order and receipt. They still have not provided one so that we can verify the work done and its legitimacy. Be careful.
