At 18 years old in 1986, Greg Sheck was making $5.00 working at a gas station. He was offered an additional .50 cents for a plumbing position and has never looked back. Following 19 years of experience, he ventured out on his own to create G&C Plumbing and Heating. The 'G' is for Greg, and the 'C' honors his wife Christine.

He has maintained his business for 11 years, thanks to his honesty, integrity, and commitment to superior craftsmanship.

Recently, Greg has partnered with his son Brandon, forming a responsive and efficient plumbing duo. Christine handles the phone calls, ensuring smooth communication between the office and the plumbing team.

We defy the typical image of the unresponsive plumber. In fact, we are quite the opposite.

We are a family-run business, ready to tackle any job, large or small. Gregory Sheck holds the title of Master Plumber and is also a licensed general contractor. This unique combination makes him exceptional for bathroom remodels, one of the specialties of the father-son team.

With three decades of experience and training in plumbing and heating, Greg is well-versed in addressing any issue.

He is a family-oriented individual running a family business. When you call our office, you will speak with his friendly wife Christine, who will assist you in reaching the plumbers for emergencies or scheduling appointments. If you choose us for your plumbing needs, you’ll meet his son Brandon, a recent college graduate currently training as an apprentice plumber.

They came to look at a drip from my tub spout. I have an old fashioned set up with separate hot and cold taps. They recommended a new mixer valve at a cost of $1,600!!! They would not fix the existing set up.
It cost me $99 for them to come and give this outrageous estimate.
Today another plumber came to fix the drip and replace a couple of washers for $150
I may be an older woman on her own but I know when someone is ripping me off

Not highly recommended. We called to have our plumbing fixed in the bathroom tub on the second floor of our home. They mentioned we needed a new tub, so to remove the old one and install the new one they literally left breakages in our wall and destroyed some tiles. They stated they do not restore the environment when they do projects of this nature. It cost me an additional $4K to fix the mess that was left behind. Add to that a very expensive monthly ""Diamond Club"" Fee..... we have moved on with our plumbing needs.

VERY pleasant and informative tech that came out. On time and extremely professional company overall. Only negative to me was the cost and more so the fact that they bill by the ""job"" and not by the hour .. To change a 50 dollar expansion tank for my boiler I was charged just under 700 dollars which is insane by any standards as the work took legit 20-30 minutes. Zone Circulator pump change quoted 965 dollars when most plumbers say 400. I declined. Just way way way overpriced.

Rip off, overpriced might only be in the estimate business since there prices are so ridiculously high, $100 bucks just to come look and provide an estimate, does get credited toward your work if you decide to to the job

I have had G and C twice to my home. Neither time did I award them the job. Both times they were prompt. That is the reason for giving any stars at all. Both times, service techs came in with their iPads and photographed the problem to send back to the office. Then waited for the office to price out and describe options.

The most recent visit was to replace a water heater. The tech came and and immediately said, unless you replace the configuration of the existing system, we won't take the job. He said,""because we care about your safety."" He then provided alternatives to the gas water heating system we currently have. First, drop an insulating sleeve down the chimney at a cost of around $3500. Then purchase the new water heater, etc. Second option: a power venting water heater...oops, no, because the parameters outside the house would not allow this. Third, switch from gas to electric. This would involve tying in to the circuit breaker system ( hire an electrician), and lose the ability to have hot water when there is a power outage. The tech provided 3 options for converting to electric, ranging in price from $3500 to $5700. I slept on it and felt, I am being soaked ( pun intended) for a new system that I don't even want! I called another plumber, he came the day I called, and he replaced the existing water heater in the existing system, no problems. By 3 pm the day before Thanksgiving, new water heater! Total cost $2400. I will not call C and G again...and no, I do not want to become a gold member of their service club! BEWARE!

I am extremely impressed with the level of professionalism shown by Chris Barry. I have not used G & C plumbing before but would Definitely recommend them.
Chris was patient and took the time to explain the job as well as answer all of my questions... He and his partner, Sully, were prompt and worked for many hours in some very tight conditions in this old house.. I also very much appreciated Chris's kindness. I have had people here in the past to perform work who were there to do a job and nothing more. Chris clearly cares about people and it shows! Thanks!
I have an appointment this Wednesday for a sink installation and I'm sure the work and cleanup will be excellent once again. I may have to leave another review:)

Brandon and his assistant worked very hard to fix and source a rare part for our shower system. It was very difficult to find as it was only made for one year. They took their time and worked to try the least invasive approaches first. In the end, they had a terrific solution, great attention to details, were prompt and efficient and extremely respectful. I rarely find such professionalism in contractors, but this was exceptional! I felt very much like Brandon was an expert and looking out for my interests. Thank you to G&C and Brandon for a job very well done! BTW they referred us to a great dry wall repair person (Eddie) who was equally excellent!

We had our copper water line break when installing a new refrigerator. Thankfully, my neighbor was able to crimp the line to get it to a drip. I've had service from G&C previously, after finding their card, I called them. They asked that i send a picture of the shut off valve; they were here within an hour. Chris was very professional and walked me through what needed to be done. Less than an hour later all was fixed. Fast, efficient, polite and professional. Reasonable fee for the job.
