I'm not the type of person that writes bad reviews but this is just incredible. I call my plumber to fix a commercial water heater that stopped working on a Friday at my restaurant, the blower went bad. Since he couldn't get the part he called G&B Services. Greg Beall brought a new blower that according to him didn't fit just right. He installed it and left after we paid him in full $1,200 +. A few hours later our employees were complaining of a very strong gas smell. I called Greg and he explained to me that he had to clean the contact surfaces with alcohol and then apply epoxy to create a tight seal. He was going to be there that day but he showed up the next day. He didn't talk to anybody just did his thing and left. Next day same problem. Called him 3 times no answer, he did reply my texts saying that he was not there to diagnose the original problem, that he was just asked to replace the blower and that the heater has other problems that are not worth repairing.
I understand that the heater might have other problems but I can't know about them unless you tell me.
Instead Greg Beall chose to blame somebody else with the problem an left behind a water heater that is leaking gas. And left with all the money. Great work ethic and customer service. No I wouldn't recommend...
Power U.Don't waste your time they won't return calls when you need them. They don't answer the phone. I would recommend going with someone else. The don't need anymore customers.
Joyce H.I try not to give negative reviews for any company, but in this case I have to. This company gave me a window of 12-2 to repair or replace my leaking water heater after being contacted by my home warranty company. Not only did they never come or call, but I all got when I called them was an answering machine. I told my home warranty company to never recommend them to anyone. If I could give them negative stars I would. HORRIBLE!
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Also, for context, I rarely even write reviews, let alone terrible ones, but this one was deserving of wasting my time for such a review.
We had them install our water heater a few months ago to which they were late, but it happens so we gave them a pass. Fast forward to about 2 months ago, our water heater would erratically turn off. We had one of their technicians come in and take a look - we were told a time range and he came two hours after the end of that time range, so my husband had to leave the office early for no reason. They told us to contact the manufacturer which we did, but needed pictures of proof that the ventilation system in the heater was installed properly. We have called this guy numerous times to try and get some pictures taken and on one occasion were told someone was going to come but he/she never did. I have had to follow up at least thirteen different times with ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE. We will be using someone else to see if the heater was installed properly and if not, I might just have to sue these guys in small claims court given that the principle of all this is just so wrong.
This is all to say - I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Save your time and take your money elsewhere; these people have no professionalism or any basic courtesy toward their customers.
Candis M.They came to my house, cut holes in my basement ceiling to assess the problem and NEVER completed the repair. They took the deductible payment as I was working with them via my home warranty company. They kept promising that they would come over from one day to the next to complete the repair but never came back. Worst company ever!
They were a no show twice. Horrible communication. Haven't heard a thing from them after several phone calls and text when they didn't show for the 2nd scheduled appointment. Would not recommend at all. HMS warranty assigned them to us even after a previous customer (as seen on here) reported them.
Extremely unprofessional with service. Window of appt not met on 1/26/2018(Friday), had to call several times to get status of ETA, but calls went unanswered and voicemail is always full so unable to leave a message. Technician finally showed up 3hrs after window of time and was not knowledgeable of the problem so he proceeded to TRY and convince me that I didn't have a plumbing issue. Technician started texting and sending pics/video of dripping tub faucet to someone else, then stated he had never dealt with this type of problem before and was unable to properly diagnose. HUH??? It's a dripping tub/shower faucet, what do you mean you haven't seen this before???? Said he would have to have someone else from G&B come back to fix problem. He received my deductible per HMS(home warranty company), it was cashed within hours of his visit via their mobile bank app.!!! As I'm typing this review on 2/12/2018, I have not heard from anyone from G&B after several calls since 1/29/2018(following Monday) to check status of when someone else would be back to fix dripping faucet. Reported them to HMS on 2/1/2018(one week from initial visit), who also called while I was on the phone and they also were not able to speak with a live person, or leave a message so they had to recommend another company to come out and diagnose/fix problem. ZERO stars is what G&B deserves however, that was not an option!!!! BEWARE!!!!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. FIVE PLUS STARS. Found G&B Services on Thumbtack after having a horrible experience with a plumber that was sent to me by American Home Shield (AHS). Once G&B came out I found that the plumber that AHS sent misdiagnosed the problem and said that I needed things done that AHS would not cover and quoted me a price that was $450, while G&B quoted $205 for the same thing (win #1 for G&B). G&B also figured out that I did NOT need what the AHS contracted plumber said I needed. It was actually a much less expensive fix that took mere SECONDS to fix. My total bill in the end was UNDER $100. Greg then called me back and offered on his on to go out of his way to call American Home Shield to describe what happened to fight for me to get the money that AHS and that other lying plumber stole from me. WHAT A CLASS ACT GREG AND G&B SERVICES ARE. I give them all 5 stars, and for the great service and CARE they provide (unlike others out there), they should get more than 5 stars.
Robin O.They have a few very good reviews on another site. Appointment was made. Window of time for the appointment was given by the company. No call. No show. A few calls were made to the company prior to the end of the window to try to figure out what was going on. There's an answering machine. No live person to help. No voice mail that could easily be heard/answered by a tech. Not good.
I understand things happen. I understand things can run late. I don't understand the lack of common courtesy and professionalism. It takes 5 minutes to make a call and let someone know you're running late and what the new ETA is. Some of us take off work to wait for you . . .
If the most basic level of respect can't be followed, I can't recommend.
