I'm not sure which part of Texas Gavit Plumbing is operating, but he's advertising on Craigslist in Austin - then not showing up for scheduled appointments! He moved our appointment from Tuesday to Friday, delaying our remodel project. Friday rolls around and no Mike, no phone call. He doesn't return calls or texts. Terrible business practices. Do not waste your time with this man and his company. His lack of common courtesy and respect for peoples' time is inexcusable.

Mike knows his plumbing! He has helped us out twice. His service & pricing are great. He comes on time, finishes on time, & and does so at the quoted price! He also does remodel jobs like putting in new toilets, sinks, faucets, in both kitchens & baths. He can also install your new dishwasher. Give him a call for your plumbing needs!

I should have read Yelp prior to calling this guy!

We had a scheduled appointment for between 8-8:30. By 9am nobody had shown up. I called and was told that he was on his way - having car issues. I got a text 10 minutes later saying that he couldn't make it due to the continued car issues.

I feel that if I never called him to figure out where he was, I'd still be sitting at home waiting! Bad business!

Our plumbing backed up into our house on a Thursday night. Gross. We couldn't figure out the problem so onto craigslist I went looking for someone to come out. Going into the weekend and having a slumber party on Friday night for a bunch of teenage girls, I needed someone to come out right away.

Mike answered his own phone. I explained what was happening and he semi-diaganosed the problem over the phone and gave me quote for $130. We scheduled a time for later in the afternoon. He showed up right on time. He figured out the problem in about 5 minutes and solved the issue.

My son or one of the neighborhood kids put a stick on the clean out drain and it was blocking the sewage flow. So our problem probably was easier than most, but we didn't know how to fix it.

While he was there, I asked him to look a leaky faucet my husband has been promising to fix for 2 years. Mike fixed it in 10 minutes and it's never worked better.

The total cost for both repairs was $115....he did more than I originally asked for less money. I couldn't be happier and I'll definately call on him again if I need a plumber.

I spoke to this guy on Monday, told him where I live and what I needed (fix leaks). He made an appt for Wed between 8:30 and 9am. I took off work and got a text from him at 8:30 that said "I punched your address into my gps and I don't service outside of a 20 mile radius from Round Rock" I live in North Austin, by the way. I responded "Your website says 40 miles." He responded, "Thanks, I will change that now."

Needless to say, I missed work that morning and stopped looking for a plumber to fix my leaks once we had the appt. This is terrible customer service. I DON'T recommend even calling this guy. Don't waste your time.

I would not even give this "business" one star if a lower rank was possible. On the phone, he sounded great....stated that he was a licensed master plumber and gave me a fair price for work that I needed to be completed. We set a time for Friday morning for him to do three jobs (he stated that the more I had done, the more I would save due to his trip charges.) I stated that I would call him if I needed to change the appointment but definitely did not foresee any problem. He stated that he would definitely be at my house between 8 and 8:30 am. on Friday and would likewise notify me if there had to be a change.

I had guests coming later on Friday, and he was aware of this.....but by 9 am, no show. I called, no answer. I thought that perhaps due to the SXSW traffic he had been delayed. At 9:30, no show and no answer to my phone call. At 10:00, the same thing and another repeat at 10:30. He did not show, did not have the decency to call and cancel, and did not have the decency to answer the phone. I could have had the repairs completed earlier in the week but delayed to fit with his schedule and then had to make other arrangements for family members who were visiting for 10 days.

I would not recommend him to do anything for anyone. I accepted his time and date for the appointment and trusted that he would be true to his word. His actions, or rather lack of actions, show his true character. This is not how I was taught nor how I taught my children...when you give your word to do something, do it to the best of your ability.

Don't waste your time here. Called three different time over a Week period. No Response. You should not advertise if you can't return calls!

I purchased a double sink bathroom vanity from Ikea for a bathroom remodel on rental property I own in Austin, Texas. I called three plumbers trying to have the plumbing work done. One told me over the phone that Ikea plumbing was too complex and he would not do it. Another came out and and scratched his head for 20minutes trying to figure it out... he could not.

Then I called Mike at Gavit plumbing who saved the day. In less then two hours he had it installed without a problem. I will admit that the Ikea cabinets do not leave much room for error on the plumbing side. It was a tricky job, but Mike handled it without a problem. It works perfectly and looks great. Very pleased with Gavit Plumbing's work.

He was professional and very experienced.
He showed up on time and ready to work.
He worked clean and neat.
His price was very fair.

THANK YOU!!!!! I had a toilet absolutely fall apart last night at 9:45. First the bulb inside broke then the inter valve water was running, tried to turn water off and the knob broke on the valve. Called all the big names and none considered this to be a reason to make a house call a night. My daughter found Gavit Plumbing he was there in 15 minutes had me completely fixed in less than 30. Cleaned up and then charged me a very fair after hours call. This will be my go to guy!!!!

my daughter put instant mashed potatoes down the disposal, so clogged up the drain, gavit came in fixed the problem and fixed 2 of our toltiless that were running also very resaonalble price and great job
