Disappointed!!! We had a leak from an upstairs bathroom coming down through our kitchen ceiling. We called and someone came out right away- we really appreciated that. The plumbers noted that it was coming from our bathtub due to a broken pipe. I questioned the problem because the bathtub had not been used in several weeks. Regardless, there was a broken pipe. So, I said okay, go ahead and fix it. The bill was about $140- I thought that this was very reasonable. A few weeks went by and we realized water coming from the exact same area. Once again we called and the guys came out quickly- again we greatly appreciated it. This time, they realized that the leak was coming from the shower, right next to the tub. At this point, it was determined that the entire shower would need to be torn out. When I received the bill for them coming back the second time, it was $129. I questioned the bill because the first time included a service fee and a new pipe. For the second time, it was only a service call because it was determined that the leak originated in the shower (right next to the tub). If the guys would have listened the first time around that the tub had not been used in 3 weeks, they would have realized that they needed to explore the issue a little further. I thought that the second service fee of $120 was too much. I called and talked to Gator Plumbing with my concerns over not finding the root of the issue the first time. He said that they were two separate issues at two separate times. He also said that he had pictures. Well, I have pictures too- the leak was in the same area both times. Then
he got defensive and said that he has seen water travel up to 10 feet and instead of being upset with them, I should have been upset with the original plumbers that did not do the job correctly. I understand that a service fee is given when someone comes out, but this was the same issue that was not correctly found the first time around. I feel that some type of discounted rate could have been offered since the problem was not found the first time around. We will be looking for a new plumber!

We've used Gator for numerous jobs and have been very staisfied. These guys are professional and friendly, show up on time (which is RARE in he RGV) and work until the job is done right. I highly recommend Gator.

What can I say other than these guys are great. Located here on the island. Gain good agreement on the issue And do great quality work. I've used them in several projects here in my condo on south padre island. Good job guys and keep up the good work.
