Called them this morning with a blocked sink. They gave me a 3pm appointment.
Showed up on time, fixed the problem, gave me a 30 day warranty in case it got blocked again, charged me $80 and went on their merry way. Excellent and fair service. Would definitely use and again and recommend to others.

Daniel and his team were called to fix the overflow on a bathtub that was newly installed by a contractor Gateway came over quickly, replaced the overflow and pipes and had the bathtub back up and running in less than 3hrs. Although I would have paid whatever it took to stop the leak, Gateway had the best price....bonus!

The best part of my experience is the peace of mind they gave me that the job was done right.
There was no way I was gonna call back the contractor who did a jerry-rig job in the first place. Daniel and the Gateway team explained the problem and recommended I call the contractor to do the work. This let me know that this wasn't an ordinary greedy company that just wants the job, they looked out for my interest.

I am so grateful I found them. I was looking for a good plumber for some time, and I finally found Daniel who is very professional and kind. He just fixed my toilet and my faucet and the whole experience was very hassle-free & stress-free! Even though he had to come back again to finish up, he didn't ask me any money to pay for now... I really didn't expect that he would show his trust first!

A friend gave me Daniel's number, although he actually didn't use him. Why not? Because Daniel wouldn't get back to him or respond to calls/emails for days, and when he finally did stop by, he wouldn't give him an estimate. Told my friend to write it up himself? So, he went with another guy, more expensive but at least he communicated.

I thought I'd give Daniel a try, and emailed, and he came right over the next day, signed a contract for the following month to start work installing a complete new bathroom. Seemed like my friend was wrong about him. So, now, it's a week before he's supposed to start, so I call him, and email him, every day for a week and no response. What? So I'm back to square one, and calling other plumbers for estimates. Got one who actually was $250 less than Daniel....

So, Daniel finally calls back, and says he was out of town in LA (no answering service, I suppose, or telephones in LA?) He says he'll call me back, as he has a conference call. I say great, I wanted to talk to him, since I had found someone a slightly bit less expensive, but wanted to talk to him and go with Daniel, because (1) I have a signed contract with him, and (2) Daniel's yelp comments were better, and he seemed nicer.

Well, Daniel never calls back, so I call him and leave another message, saying I'd like him to call so we can discuss starting work in 2 days. He texts me back and says: ""Go for it"" ???? what??? go for what? Where is he? He then continues to text me back and forth like we're in high school, even though my response is please call me, I'd like to talk with you... I tried flattery: ""I'd prefer to go with you, since we've signed a contract and you're so nice..."" but nothing but snide remarks back ""hope it isn't angel's plumbing""...

So, IF he'll respond, and IF he'll show up after signing a contract for over a thousand dollars of work, and IF he'll talk to you, maybe he's good. Never had the opportunity to find out. So immature and unprofessional, I'd rather pay more for someone who can act right.

Ok, this is hands down the best plumber in SF! Daniel is absolutely amazing! I called after hours (around 8 pm) because my toilet was clogged. Within 15 minutes, two technicians were at my house (and I don't even live near their office). They were very polite and efficient, and discovered that there was a root in the main sewer system by sticking a camera down my toilet. I did not realize that they didn't accept credit cards (I also don't have a checking account), and had no cash on me, but they were incredibly kind and laidback about it, and agreed to stop by a couple days later so that I could pay them at a time that was convenient for me. Prices were competitive. Service was high quality. Would highly recommend Gateway Rooter & Plumbing. This is probably the best experience I have ever had w/ a plumber! Call up Daniel next time your toilet clogs-- you won't regret it!

If there is a price for honesty and good service (sans BS) then Dan Guerrero of Gateway Plumbing should be charging 7X more, as much as the some of the other plumbing companies out there that start with trying to sell you memberships and quote you a price based on your neighborhood. I had a backed up kitchen sink with the problem being in the outlet to sewer. Gateway was my second call from Yelp reviews after the first ""big time"" plumber a Mr. R....r came by and gave me an estimate that was clearly insane and based upon the houses and the neighborhood. Dan came by performed the exact same service - snake, camera diagnosis and flush and was done in half an hour. On top of his price - 1/7th of the other guys - he offered a 30 day warranty! His card is now on my fridge magnet. Skip the others call Gateway.

Solid. Daniel was the only one who answered the phone at 8pm, had great manner on the phone and quoted a reasonable price. Totally flexible, he came out, identified the issue, fixed it with no fuss Awesome. Good on his estimate. Great experience overall.

I needed a garbage disposal changed . I called around to get a sense of what is involved and how much it would cost. Of the five places I contacted, 2 gave me a price of $250-$300 and the other 3 were around $150-$160. Based on my telephone conversation with Daniel (turned out to be the owner) and the Yelp ratings (Yahoo also had similar ratings), I decided to go with this company. It was one of the best decisions I made.

We talked in the morning and made an appointment for the afternoon of the same day. Daniel and his assistant came on time, fixed the problem, cleaned out the work area, and even did some stuff which was not part of our discussion, WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGE. What a treat.

I will very highly recommend this company and I will definitely call them for my future repairs.
