Rude and unprofessional. Hard to get hold of and their voicemail still references being OOO in January.

This guy was on top of everything. Came out in a hurry. Examine the job and be done, ordered the parts necessary and complete the job within three days after receiving the parts. We're others wanted to charge me to look at the project this guy was free. That alone and in the job

We have used Gates plumbing for the last 30 years or so. We have never been disappointed in their service. They're easy to work with, communicate well, arrive on time, work efficiently and do a great job. We recently had a gas hot water heater replaced and new bathroom vanity and faucet installed. They brought the water heater up to code which give us much peace of mind. The first vanity we discovered was broken when they arrived. They were kind enough to bring it back to the garage and help us pack it back up. They came out again when we received the new one and installed it beautifully. Having to cut some molding away to make it fit, they asked us first, you cannot even tell they did such a beautiful job. The caulking etc was finished off beautifully as well. We truly felt that they took the same care they would have if it were in their own home. Thank you Scott, Jake and Kim for making our experience a great one. We will absolutely be using them again for our future plumbing needs.

Excellent service. My kitchen sink went out and since it was the week between Christmas and New Year's I figured I was out of luck. Wrong. Scott responded to my late night message right away and scheduled me for the very next day. They were quick, efficient, and explained my options. I found the pricing very reasonable. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience and my sink is up and running. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber.

Beware! We are incredibly frustrated with the plumbers' lack of integrity!!
We had a toilet leak on our upper level that caused water leak down to the main level. Their plumber came out, said he fixed the problem, but then we had the same issue again. This time, it caused enough water damage to warrant a water mitigation company to come out and dry everything. S Gates then sent out the plumber for a second time. The plumber claimed they fixed the issue, and then it happened AGAIN! Luckily, the water mitigation equipment was still there, so we left it in place for several more days.
The owner came out and saw the problem should have been caught the first two times they were out there. I said, ""this sounds like a learning experience for your plumber,"" the owner said, ""he might not have a job after this.""
The owner gave me his WORD he would ""make things right."" He said he wasn't sure if he'd submit our bills to his insurance or pay it out of pocket.
When I sent the owner the bills for the water mitigation and refinishing of the bathroom, they made up a completely unbelievable story about the city somehow being at fault ALL THREE TIMES, and when I pressed him on it, said ""I'd rather close my doors than pay for this. It's not fair."" The reaction from both owners was completely unreasonable.
When I asked the owner ""Did you say you would make this right when you came out?"" He replied, ""I did, but that doesn't mean I'm going to pay you."" What else could ""make this right"" possibly mean? Now we have to go to court for me to be made whole.
The other reviews make it seem like S Gates Plumbing and Remodeling are great when things go well. From my experience, when things don't go well, S Gates can't be relied upon to keep their word.
One good point to mention: the owner did come out on the weekend to look at the toilet when he heard of the first two botched repair attempts. He was also having some health issues. Kudos to him for coming out on short notice in his condition, but I'm still out thousands of dollars that the plumber won't pay for.

Scott was great to work with. He was very professional and was upfront about the pricing, which I felt was very reasonable. I will be using him in the future and am happy I have a plumber I can call now!
