Founded in 1968 by my father in the Poconos area of PA, NY and NJ. Jankowski Plumbing and HVAC. I added the specialties and trades. Upon moving my family to Florida in 2004, I couldn't just open shop and join a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to satisfy the state's 4-year requirement by Florida law before taking the state exam.

We made our mark in 2005 as Volusia Gas and Welding Company and rebranded as Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I secured my initial state license; State certified Master gas installer License # LP803-27524. I achieved my state plumbing license in 2010. I’ve been involved in the gas industry since 1983 and the Plumbing trade since I was able to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years.

At one point, I thought I didn't want to work in Plumbing anymore, so I signed up in the US Air Force before I graduated in 1982 under the delayed enlistment program...my father was thrilled about the old man, I tell you. I hoped to explore the world and continue the family tradition to serve our country. I completed my service overseas in England until I returned in 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL up until 1989. I connected with my wife in the service, and we moved to Upstate NY, where we resided and began our family. I started working for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas service technician. We enjoyed those years in the most beautiful place in the Northeast. The weather turned too frigid, so we relocated back to Florida. I always wanted to own my own business, so this is where we are now. Locally owned and operated.
