Started in 1968 by my old man in the Poconos, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. Jankowski Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. I added the range of services. Upon moving my family to Florida in 2004, I couldn't just open shop and gain experience with a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to satisfy the minimum 4-year requirement by Florida law before sitting for the state exam.

We built our reputation in 2005 as Volusia Gas and Welding Company and transformed into Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I secured my initial state license; State Master Gas Installer License # LP803-27524. I earned my State certified Plumbing license in 2010. I’ve been involved in the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing field since I was able to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve worked in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about over 14 years.

Well, I thought I didn't want to work in Plumbing anymore, so I enlisted in the US Air Force prior to graduating in 1982 under the delayed enlistment option...that went over well with the old man, I tell you. I hoped to see the world and uphold the family legacy to serve our great nation. I was stationed overseas in England until 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL up until 1989. I met my wife in the service, and we settled to Upstate NY, where we lived and started our family. I went to work for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas technician and installer. We enjoyed from 1990 to 2004 in the most beautiful place in the Northeast. It got too cold, so we moved back to Florida. I always aspired to run my own business, so this is where we are now. A family-run local business.
