Started in 1968 by my dad in the Poconos area of PA, NY and NJ. Jankowski Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. I expanded the specialties and trades. When I moved my family to Florida in 2004, I needed to begin anew and work for a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to meet the state's 4-year requirement by Florida law before sitting for the state exam.

We established ourselves in 2005 as Volusia Gas and Welding and rebranded as Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I received my first State license; State Master Gas Installer License # LP803-27524. I achieved my state plumbing license in 2010. I’ve been involved in the gas industry since 1983 and the Plumbing trade since I was old enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve been in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about 14 years.

Well, I thought I didn't want to be involved in Plumbing anymore, so I signed up in the US Air Force before graduation in 1982 under the delayed enlistment option...my father was thrilled about the old man, I tell you. I wished to travel the globe and continue the family tradition to serve our great nation. I served overseas in England until I returned in 1986 and came back stateside to Homestead, FL where I stayed until 1989. I connected with my wife in the service, and we relocated to Upstate NY, where we lived and began our family. I went to work for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas installer and technician. We spent from 1990 to 2004 in the scenic area in the Northeast. The winters became too harsh, so we returned to Florida. I always aspired to own my own business, so this is where we are now. A family-run local business.
