As a realtor who deals with bank owned homes, property management, and regular residential resale, I deal with service people and trades often. After reading reviews, researching, and calling multiple numbers, I received a few calls back. I will say that some were less than friendly, some were outrageously priced, and some were both of these. Gary called back the next day, and was at the house within an hour due to a cancellation in his schedule. His price was very fair, his attitude was friendly, his work was efficient, and he cleaned up after himself! That is always a big part of the job. I'd definitely recommend him again.

We live in Canton and have a Shellback pump that needs to be replaced. I initially called a big brand company in Plymouth""Cummings Plumbing"" to assess the problem. They said we need to replace the pump and total cost with installation is $875.00. I called Gary's plumbing for a 2nd price quote. I was shocked by the voicemail I received that said the city of Canton installed these pumps 20 years ago and will probably replace it and/or remove it for free. Now...I'm a nurse and plumbing is 0% my forte. This man is honest and has integrity. For any future plumbing needs, skip the name brand companies and utilize Gary's Plumbing. I have written down his contact information and if we have ANY future plumbing needs I will use this company. Honest people are hard to find!

I have had Gary replace my hot water heater, a toilet, faucets inside and outside, and an insta-hot. Today he replaced my sump pump. He has an answering service and Gary calls back within a day unless it is an emergency. He arrives on time, quotes the price, cleans up afterwards. Very pleasant guy who does reliable work. Cost is much better than the big companies.

The father and son team are fantastic! Very friendly and neat. We had a leaking toilet gasket which they replaced along with the water shutoff valve.

In our laundry room they replaced both shutoff valves for the washer. All the items were 18+ years old and needed to be replaced. The cold water valve was leaking.

Gary called to confirm the problem and was on time. The repairs costs were very reasonable.

Please support local tradesman in our area. Gary's son will take over the business I'm guessing and he is learning what customer satisfaction is all about - from the best teacher- his dad

Don't bother. Bad listener. Gary returned my call to fix sump pump which was spraying water from the pipe onto basement floor. On his voice message, said he does not drive from north canton to south novi (18 minute drive map quest) so call someone else. Lastly, Gary said if the water is spraying within the sump pump that its suppose to do that. Really ?Duh !... Geez imagine that ! water sprays ""within"" the sump pump....

Had an estimate done today, I chose to call Gary's based on the stellar reviews and I am very pleased I did. Satisfied w/how fast he & his nice son got here to quote me an estimate on my water heater issue, they were right on schedule and very courteous! He quoted me fairly on par w/how excelling I feel his services will be once we have them return to do the work. You generally get what you pay for, and I'd rather pay for quality service done right the first time, with a good warranty by someone giving me an honest/fair quote than to try to find the 'cheapest' deal out there. He even took the time to look at other concerns I had within the spectrum of services he provides. I will update after I've had the needed work done but wanted to review the great customer service I received today.

I had been working on my very old bathroom in my house I moved to last year and got stopped by plumbing issues beyond the basics. In middle of replacing 1976 toilet (5 gal. per flush!) and leaky old supply line/valve, I pulled toilet and found cracked ring underneath. I had also replaced tub drain and overflow but the shower handles were soldered on and no access panel or welding knowledge! Gary had no problem coming into the middle of my mess, instructing me what he would do to continue repairs/replacement, and quoting me an exact price for the work. He and his son were professional, efficient, nice as could be and, even though they nicely did extra for me, they kept to exact price quoted. Highly recommend!

Found water in the basement from a pipe. Checked Yelp for a plumber and called Gary and his Son! They came out in a half hour and gave a free acceptable estimate and fixed our main sink drain and pipes fast and very reasonably! They had everything needed in their truck. Very professional and pleasant! Would definitely hire these guys again. Thank you!
