Very Professional, got the job done and came out within a few hours of the call. They wanted to charge $70 to set a toilet (15 minutes) and $400 for a new toilet in addition to the cost of the service call.

I would give Gary 10 stars if I could. He dealt with five smallish plumbing issues that have been driving me crazy for months. I have an older home and he walked me through all the issues and dealt with them in a super professional way so that I don't have to worry about them anymore. He came when he said he would, he worked around my schedule, and the price was right!

Called Gary he was busy that day so he was going call me when he was in my side of town. Well my father didn't want to wait so he called Snake N Laterals which they came told me it was a major job had a broken pipe had to rip my floor apart and it going to be expensive. But when Gary called me that I was next in line I told him what happened I felt bad that someone else had came but I still wanted a second opinion and Gary even said its probably not what they said so he came and it was just clogged up it only took him 20 minutes to fix the problem I'm so happy it wasn't what Snake N Laterals said it was. Defiantly giving him a call next time. Thank you once again Gary

Wow! After reading the great reviews, I decided to give them a call - we had a clog somewhere in our main from the house out to the street. Gary was rude, and was very condescending while talking to me and my husband. My husband snapped at him in that he was taking the snake out of our line and had it flopping all over the yard and sidewalk, and told him he was ""flinging"" all that sewer everywhere, to include almost splattering some of that on us. He kept going on and on about him being a fellow Veteran (he started talking to my husband since he is a Veteran as well). It was a little weird when he suggested having a wastebasket and placing any and all toilet paper in it rather than flushing it down the toilet. He said, ""You may have to learn to live with the smell though."" Apparently another gentleman showed up, and it turns out it is Gary's son. It was very annoying to see the two of them bicker back and forth. Needless to say, we will definitely not be calling them back.

WOW! Between your post here, and the private messages from you and your dad, it has accomplished two things: But before we get into those two things, you need to understand that statistically, if only 86% of the reviews here have given you 5 stars, then maybe that is your business model - that you serve to please roughly 90%. Understand also that this is a venue for ""us"" the consumers. It allows us a place to post our personal/individual experiences with a vendor. Lastly, it allows us to do this with a degree of anonymity. Why is anonymity important? Because you as the vendor never know who you are going to be providing goods and/or services to. It forces you to be cognizant of what you are doing at all times, and that ""one"" customer where you decide to not give it 100% may just be the one to post a critical review. But seriously, do not take this personally, it is just business. Use it to learn from; use it to strive and do better.

Back to what your response and private messages (which illustrates what I was referring to in my original review) accomplishes:
1) The validity of my original review. The tone in your responses further illustrates that.
2) It further questions your integrity.

Go back to some of the other posts that were not favorable...learn from those. There was one written in 2013 that gave you 4 stars. Read his comments - that again validates what was mentioned in our review. Also, look at the one from this past March.

For almost 40 years you have been in business. Although that is impressive, you should not be ""cocky"" (as the gentleman in 2013 posted), you should know better. You should strive to do better than just 86-90%. Want a rating of 5 starts? Again, you will have to earn that. My husband feels we should call you back out on our next emergency. When that happens, we'll update our rating if warranted.

As for the refund, we really don't need our money back...we just need you to live up to your own hype.

Great service and done at a fair price. Gary came at a time that was convenient to me (after work) and I will definitely call him for future plumbing needs.

Very unpleasant man.... 0 stars if I was possible ...I was having trouble with my water heater and after all the reviews here I decided to give Gary a call and asked him if he could come check it out ....that was at 11am after he said yes I waited almost all day and at 7pm I called another plumbing agency because I needed my water heater fixed and they came in less than 30 mins fixed it and left .... Gary calls me at 10pm and says he is coming to my home... I explained to him that I had hired someone else and the problem was fixed and he got upset started yelling at me about canceling appointment like if his time is more important than mine I told him I thought he wasn't coming and forgot about me because I called him 11 hrs ago. He just kept getting more upset very unprofessional so I told him to lose my number and that I didn't need his services anymore
There is no way I will ever call him again I don't care how many good reviews he has

I meant to write this review a couple of months ago but am just now getting around to it since we had a couple separate issues we needed checked out--which of course we called Gary's Plumbing for again. So a couple of months ago our water heater's pilot light constantly went out and so Gary and his son came out to fix it and it was good as new as soon as they were done!

Professional, courteous, knowledgable and skilled. Price was reasonable and the work was done quickly and efficiently.

As for the issues we called him for this time--we had a couple of toilets that would overflow a lot, two sinks and a shower that wouldn't drain. Gary came over and took care of all of those issues, replaced a few parts and was on his way in just an hour. Second time that we've had a great experience with him.

Would definitely recommend--can't stress that enough! Great guy and great service!
