Tom and Nico arrived right on time, and went to work. They originally thought the job would take most of the day, then finished up in about 4 hours -- and my home was cleaner looking than when they began.

A couple of years ago, I got a quote for this same work from one of the city's biggest plumbing outfits -- over $5,000, and they said they might have to tear up my newly installed granite countertops! So I put it off until yesterday, and went with GARRITY on a recommendation from neighbors.

They completely replumbed all the pipes beneath my kitchen sink, even opening up the wall in a bedroom closet behind the kitchen to get access. And they did all this work without turning off the water main for the other condo units. YES!

Now I can use my washer/dryer combo unit AND my dishwasher at the same time!!! Have not been able to do that since I moved in almost 20 years ago.

The closet looks like new -- they went out and bought a white panel for the interior closet wall, it is wonderful!

The cost? About $1,500!!! GREAT WORK, SWEET GUYS!

There are two Garrity plumbers on yelp. This is the good one imho.
We have used Garrity Plumbing for over 10years- following a referral from my Dad. We have used them for stopped drains and faucet installation.

They are great. Get things done, clean up and are in and out quickly.

One final thought....anyone that has tried plumbing on their own can testify that a 30 minute job may take 90 minutes; and that Chicago traffic can be as unpredictable as the weather. My point here is be a compassionate human and know that appointment times are tough to manage precisely in this field. Tom is great with appointments.

Absolutely super. One of the best experiences I have ever had with a small family owned plumbing company. Larry, the owner gave a very fair quote and stuck to it, even though he had to come on three visits. The first for most of the work and then another day because the new toilet I had purchased had a hairline crack and I scrambled to find a replacement for him to install a few days later. Then, he was very gracious about returning on a third day when I noticed a very slight leak in the toilet water line connection. It just needed tightening but I didn't want to tamper with it myself. Cannot recommend anyone higher than I do Garrity Plumbing. You won't be disappointed in the price or the quality of the work. Believe me, I have been doing renovation projects for over 40 years. Wish I had found these guys long ago.

My wife and I just bought a new condo, and discovered that our toilet had grand illusions of growing up to be Niagra Falls. Any pressure on the tank, and the floor was flooded! My mother recommended Garrity to us, so we decided to give them a try.

We called them Sunday afternoon, they called back Sunday night, and we were scheduled for 7:30am Wednesday morning. They were prompt, professional, and got our toilet rebuilt in under 30 minutes for under $200!

Absolutely fabulous, and highly recommended! If we find out the prior owner left us any other plumbing surprises, I know exactly who were're going to call.

Wish i read Yelp reviews before hiring. He did the same thing to us that he did to others. Quoted $95/hr and showed up with another person to fix a bathroom leak. The other guy stood around while garrity worked. After 20 minutes of only garrity working, we stepped out and returned 25 minutes later and he was done. He was there a total of 45 minutes, it was a simple one man job, we knew this going in. He said the bill was $420. When we complained he said a third guy mysteriously appeared, worked, and left because we never saw him, and that 3 guys worked to solve the problem and they all need to be paid. He further said ""we weren't there the entire time and couldn't prove anything."" DO NOT USE! The worst experience we have ever had! He will do everything he can to take your money. Great service! Called on Monday, they were here on Tuesday. Fixed two toilets and replaced a faucet for a very reasonable price. Tom and his assistant were very nice. They will be the first ones I call for all my plumbing needs!
