I called Garrett to fix a clogged toilet in my condo. The plumber finally unclogged the drain and used a camera to do so. He gouged my bathroom door, but I figured accidents happen. A week later, my downstairs neighbor called to say that the ceiling underneath my bathroom was actively leaking. I have lived here for eight years without an issue, but Garrett refuses to take any responsibility for installing the toilet incorrectly. The second toilet he caulked, and I had to do it all over again again because it was awful. I'd like to know if Garrett sold to a new owner because I've used them in the past without issues. Never again. Now I am forced to hire a new plumber.

This company came out to repair my leaky faucet. After an hour or so, the man left, but the faucet was leaking even worse from a different location. They came back another day and replaced the faucet with a cheap model. The man couldn't get the faucet to quit dripping and took hours trying to fix it. Finally he left, but the faucet still drips. Garrett said they would come back for free (of course) and fix it. I haven't had them do it because of the mess and hours wasted in my house. I have pots and pans under my sink and since I am elderly, I had trouble getting everything back together. Now today I pulled out a 9x12 pan to do some baking and it was full of water which spilled all over. I threw a towel in there to mop it up, but since my knees are bad I cannot get down there to clean it all up. I put another pan in that spot and sure enough, water is dripping from somewhere - the new faucet, I believe. I want my money back so I can get another plumber in here to do the job right.

Thank you Garrett! Excellent job in finding a """"mystery leak"""" soaking my guest room carpet. Traced it to a leak in the tub tiles!!!! Also referred me to an excellent Tile man, Mike Thuro Tile who also did an excellent job. Thanks again.

We had some work done under our mobile home and discovered a water leak. Two people recommended Garrett Plumbing. We called and explained the leak, the location under our home. When the plumber came out he couldn't fix it because he didn't have the parts on his truck. Tyler (the scheduler) called to set up an appointment for another day and hesitantly gave a weak estimate. He explained the $28 per quarter hour labor charge. The plumber arrived at 9 minutes to 9am, sat in his truck till 9, but charged us for a quarter hour because he was here before 9. He worked efficiently, but discovered after 22 minutes that he had the wrong part; (notice it was just over a quarter hour? Yep, got charged for that). He was gone an hour to get the correct part and didn't charge us for that time. He finished the job and we are very pleased with the work. When he gave us the invoice we discovered we were charged $28 for the first plumber to come out and not have the correct parts. We also had a $56 service charge that we were not aware of. So them bottom line is, the work was fine, the hidden charges... not so good.

I selected Garrett Plumbing because they were close to my house and a friend suggested them ?? Big mistake !!!!! I had a small leak outside the house above the slab ... a simple fix ... three connections? They charged me for 2 1/2 hours ??? $180 an hour ... The plumber was polite and on time ... but should have showed up in a ski mask. I would not recommend Garrett plumbing unless you can't find anyone else and have money to burn.

We had a problem that happened quickly and water soaked our carpet by the time we found out. We shut off the water to the downstairs bathroom and I called Garrett. They said they would have someone out that afternoon and at 1:20, Carlton Hughes was at our door. He was fantastic. He explained everything that he needed to do and did not charge us for the time he spent going to get the equipment he needed for the repair. It took four and half hours but he fixed our problem and even suggested a solution to the soaked carpet. If you are looking for professionals who charge reasonably, come out on the same day that you need them and truly care about their customers, use Garrett Plumbing. They are the best in the business.

We have called on Garrett's services for several years. We know they are a reliable business with professionally skilled & friendly plumbers. However, this past Monday, 12/20 we found a new inconsistency with their dispatch that was never there before. On Monday, 12/13, I called to schedule Carlton (THE BEST) to come out & install a new sink faucet assembly. Carlton has come to our aid 2 previous calls and he not only knows his stuff, he's extremely friendly & bends over backwards to help with anything. No hesitation. He is awesome! The person I talked to on the phone said he would schedule Carlton to come out on Monday, 12/20 from 9-11am. That day comes. At 10am I called Garrett to confirm that Carlton was on schedule. When the office person (we'll call him """"Josh"""") answered the phone, I got a short, """"yep"""" and they hung up. I called back at 11:15 and was told by Josh that """"Carlton just called & said he's 5 minutes away."""" So I waited. Thirty minutes later, I start calling the office. Ring, ring, ring. No answer. Six times I called getting no answer. Prior to this, after every other time I called got an immediate pick-up. [FTR, the only reason I did this much is because I know this is an office issue & has nothing to do with Carlton. Plus I know from experience that this is not how poorly they usually handle their business.] I waited about 10 minutes to calm down & called again. Josh picked up and before I could say anything, he immediately said, """"GarrettPlumbingholdplease."""" I hung up because now it's after noon and I'm feel like I'm getting the runaround by a company that doesn't run like this normally. I am angry about how I'm being treated and about what a terrible face they're putting on an otherwise good, solid business. Long story short, 10 phone calls (as counted from my phone's log) & being put on hold for 8 minutes, it was established that """"Josh"""" misunderstood Carlton's schedule, apologized & said that Carlton would be at our house between 11 & 2. I told Josh that at 2:01, if Carlton's not here, we're done with their business. At 1:45, we saw the Garrett Plumbing truck in front of our house. Carlton had arrived and took care of us as always. I do not blame Carlton for anything that happened with """"Josh."""" Whoever """"Josh"""" actually is, he has now offered Garrett the opportunity to give him much more extensive customer service training. Customers are not an interruption of the day. They are the reason you have a business.

I just had to have a complete re -pipe on my home. They weren't the cheapest or most expensive but I felt comfortable with their knowledge on how they were going to do it. Gary's estimate was spot on and I couldn't have asked for more respectable young men being in my home. They were on time and when they left they cleaned up after themselves. Class act all they way through

Without even looking at our work an office staff member said they are most likely not taking any of our jobs...sounds like we should be contacting other plumbers for a job when your staff denies stuff they haven't even looked at OR followed up on.

I was actually referred to Garretts Plumbing by a couple people because of their expertise. Now let me tell you that people rarely take the time to leave reviews unless something goes wrong so take what the previous person said with a grain of salt. I read reviews constantly if I'm shopping for a product or using a service; in this day and age you pretty much have to. I've gone there three times for just a few cheap parts so take what I'm about to say for what it is, which is stellar customer service. I'm not a contractor so I'm not spending a lot of money, so their motivation to please is genuine. I was working on a leaky kitchen faucet a few blocks down from the store and it was just kickin my @##. I invested close to 6 hours trying to get that dang leak to stop. I'm a handyman so I'm pretty good at fixing things but with this, I met my match. The owner, Larry, was so willing to help me solve the problem while I was in the store. We tried replacing the cartridge ($20) and the seals (he gave me for free). Went back and went to work to no avail. If I coulda thrown the thing out the window I woulda. I called at about 4:50 to try to speak to Larry but he wasn't available so I asked the gentleman on the phone if he had any techs that might be able to help me troubleshoot the problem and he referred me to Terry, the service manager (Not a technician). I spoke to Terry and told him my dilemma and he asked me where the property was and I told him and he said he'll right there. This 60+ year old man hopped in his truck and buzzed down to help. He got there, worked on it for about 30 minutes and couldn't get the leak to stop so he went back to the store to grab another part. He came back and worked on it for another 10 minutes. No luck. He then called Larry (the owner) and explained the situation and Larry came by too and together, after about 30 more minutes of working on that #$%#%$, they got it fixed. Thinking surely I was gonna get raked for needing two people to fix it, I asked what the damage was and Larry said """"Don't worry about it"""". Huhhhh. I didn't think I heard him correctly. They refused to take any money. Terry lives more than an hour away and Larry came by to help after business hours and didn't even charge me for nearly an hours worth of work. If you find any company that would do that, you better not lose their number. I will continue to use them and I will refer people to them because they went above and beyond when there was not motivation to. Amazingly friendly guys and very knowledgeable. A customer for life Please remember to post reviews about all companies you come in contact with but be weary about fake reviews as well. There are companies out there that other companies hire to leave fake reviews so if it sounds really generic, its probably fake.
