No idea of the quality of work but I can tell you they want $90.00 to provide an estimate. So they will not get my Business. Was a good sized project. I wonder if his Dr. or Mechanic or roofer charges him to get an estimate? wonder if he just drives around giving estimates when you don't have to do any work. If I got paid for every estimate I did I could retire early. Charging to submit a price for bidding on a job really that's just crazy.

I was sick the day they came for the appointment and they convinced my elderly father that unclogging the toilet was worth $600. Then they told us the problem was a pipe in the basement which we took a chance to get fixed by them. Several weeks later we ha the same problem. I called in a panic twice that evening and my calls were never returned. In the morning I even waited till 11:00 to call them and when I did I asked if they had my messages and she replied oh yes they're right here. They didn't even call me to tell me they didn't have anybody to come out or to find out what was going on. Once before they told me they couldn't come at my scheduled time due to another emergency but they would not come out this time to help me. I called another plumber who came out that day and immediately told me what the problem was and had it fixed no time flat. Garner plumbing is very expensive, very disorganized in the office ...will not return emergency phone messages at night nor during the day. I Do not recommend them at all.

I called two weeks in advance to have water heater installed. When I called that morning, they had no idea, no water heater, couldn't get one, nothing. She didn't remember speaking with me. Horrible service!

I had a water pipe break in my front yard the day I was leaving to go out of town to a funeral. I was aware of Benjamin Franklin through a neighbor who had experienced a similar situation. I called and was told a plumber would be dispatched right away. Thirty minutes later a BF service truck pulled up. The plumber got out and looked at the leak, a cracked pvc pipe joint. He said he could fix the problem in a few minutes for a cost of $675. I almost fell over with his bid. I asked how he could justify that price for a repair that was going to use less than a dollar's worth of material. He then said he could lower the price to $575. I went into the house and called the company. The boss called the employee immediately and the employee was quite upset. He had been told in no uncertain terms that the quote was still unacceptable. He told me he would fix the leak for $450. Still a rape, but I had a 12 hour drive to make and I told him to go ahead and repair the leak. He completed the job in about an hour and during a conversation with him he told me he works on commission and he was trying to make money. No excuse for the excessive bid. He finally charged me $375 for the repair. Get a price before one of the bandits comes to your house and tries to rip you off.

Franklin was recommended by Home Advisor, and within 10 miles. Made appointment & glad when told it was $55 per hr. (5 yr water heater under warranty) With tank drained, the Friendly Franklin service man arrives promptly to install the manufacturer sent temp control panel. Unfortunately managers in Braselton office decided $475 was now my charge for 1 hr of replacing the disconnected panel. As a retired & disabled Veteran, this cost was impossible! Franklin Plumbing would not lower amount. While angry & disappointed, I submitted $35 for service call needed. That evening, a friend and I completed the task! All is well without Ben! Two stars for the friendly & helpful service man sent.

They told me over the phone it would be a $35 service call. The tech couldn't find the source of the leak, suggested it was a roof problem but the only way to be sure was to cut into the drywall. Because he was so sure it was a leak in the roof, he didn't recommend doing that yet. Then he asks how much I was quoted for the service call. I told him $35. He said, that's just to walk through your front door. If he checks anything it's closer to $50. When he realizes it's not a problem for him to solve he has the nerve to ask about the age of my water heater- which is in the basement and no where near where the problem is. Then, in the invoice he says he recommended cutting into the drywall but I refused. I questioned him about that and he just reiterated what he originally said about calling a roofer first. At this point, I just wanted him out of my house. Never calling Benjamin Franklin again. My response to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing's comment: Thank you for your timely reply. In response: 1. Preparing your truck to address a customer's issue should be your cost, not mine. 2. Yes, we were fully aware that sheetrock may need to be cut. If a leak is behind a wall, of course that would be the necessary course of action. We are not idiots. No, the customer service rep did not mention this as a possibility, but she didn't need to. We were fully aware that this may be necessary. 3. Yes, the technician made his """"professional"""" suggestion that we call a roofer. He said he DID NOT want to cut into the sheetrock if it was not necessary to fix the problem. He said this repeatedly. My issue is that on the invoice he wrote not once, but twice that the homeowner REFUSED his recommendation to cut into the sheetrock. He never recommended cutting into the sheetrock. He merely said that was the next step if the roofer couldn't find anything. And he recommended that we call a roofer FIRST, BEFORE he cut into the sheetrock. 4. I am guessing that asking about the age of our water heater is not for OUR benefit, but YOURS - so you can pad the bill, spend more time in the home so you can charge more for the service call and """"find"""" something wrong that needs to be fixed. The expression on the technicians face when I told him our water heater was less than a year old said it all. 5. In an emergency situation with a water heater the solution is simple. Cut off the water and call a reliable plumber. It is not critical for you to know the make and model to assist with a problem. 6. The tone of your response to my review is very telling and another reason we would hesitate to call Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in the future. We obviously have very different perceptions of how the problem was handled but if you still feel it necessary to speak I would be happy to talk to you after the holiday weekend.

Wonderful experience with this plumbing company. They definitely lived up to their stellar reviews on Angie's List! Needed a hot water heater replaced to be in code. The quote was significantly less than other competitors. To our surprise they installed the new hot water heater right after the estimate. The technician was very polite and explained the process thoroughly. We'll be calling them for any issues we have in the future!

Jay This company doesn't even deserve a rating. *** Don't ever call them!*** They will install parts that doesn't fix your problem and leave. I called them out to my house in June of 2017. My leak was worse when they left my home and I was out of 460.00. The techs said that they would order a part to fix the leaking manifold. I have yet to receive a call from anyone at this company. I called another company out and they fixed the problem right away. These people are a bunch of thieves! They probably write their own good reviews.

I have to give a """"shout out"""" to Ben Franklin Plumbing!! They literally saved me when, on moving day, the appliance delivery people were unable to hook up my gas range!! Ok, not the best timing on my end since I had to cook for a party I called them in a tizzy - freaking out actually and they were there in 20 minutes and took care of it!!! I was blown away. The next day I had to call them as well as the water line in the old house was leaking. I was on a serious time crunch and they were there again within 1/2 hour. Amazing service!!!!

Regardless of how busy you are, always contact other plumbers too. I paid more than $2500 for 5-hour job (1 person) including cost of materials (plastic pipe not copper). I was stupid!!!. The plumber said that the rank of labor cost is doctor, lawyer, and then plumber....
