Daryl & Jeff were amazing - competent, kind, patient and always on time. My kitchen plumbing problem involved three visits as I live in a downtown condo building that requires adjacent units be given three day notices for water shut off. The first company I worked with charged me an exorbitant amount of money to assess the situation and then refused to do the necessary work. Daryl assured me he was comfortable working in my building and could make the necessary repairs. The job was just completed as promised and I could not be happier. Thank you!

Incompetent and uncaring: Not Recommended. We paid Daryl $1030 to install the plumbing fixtures in our new Galley Workstation sink. He had problems connecting the hot/cold faucet (far right in the picture) even with extensive communications with the supplier on the phone. He left the job with the faucet requiring about a minute to shut off. I sent photos of the installation to the manufacturer and they responded with instructions on how to solve the problem. I send this to Daryl but he was skeptical and said he would talk to the manufacturer and get back to me. He never did, so I implemented the recommendations myself and fixed the problem. It turns out that he had the red and blue connections reversed. There are only three connections to this faucet and I am astonished that Daryl could not properly install it. And his failure to follow up demonstrates a lack of concern for the customer.

The dishwasher connection had a slow leak which flowed out of the front of the cabinet, damaging some of the woodwork. I sent a photo to Daryl asking for suggestions. No response. I took matters into my own hands, adding teflon tape to one connection and tightening another. Problem solved.

I wrote Daryl an email summarizing his failures and asking for a $400 refund. No response. No attempt to answer my concerns, despite my telling him that I would post negative reviews and go to Small Claims Court.

I know he received my emails because Art Orcozco, the person who hired Daryl for me, said Daryl told him he would call me. Art is also culpable because he has not actively intervened or taken responsibility for his subcontractor's work.

I am astonished that Daryl has so many 5 star reviews.

Daryl is an all around great person and takes the time to walk you through everything and give you his honest assessment. They did a great job and saved me a lot of money in the process. Our toilet overflowed, on a Friday night no less! We called Gardner and Daryl came the very next morning. Not only was he prompt, courteous and professional but he went the extra mile to ensure the blockage was sufficiently cleared. After the toilet was functional he snaked the drain again and pulled out even more debris. This is the kind of integrity you look for and we'll use Gardner again for anything we need related to plumbing!
