Excellent plumbers. Marcos & Mike came out, saw the problem with the leaky hot water heater connection. Gave us choices as to whether we wanted to fix the connection or get a new heater, since the one we had was about 30 years old! We went with the new heater. They were able to get us a much better heater than the box stores sell with a much better warranty and came back the next day and did the job. Very professional installation. Will definitely call them in the future for any other plumbing needs.

I've had multiple jobs/dealings with these guys and have nothing but good stuff to say.

1. We were renting a house and our landlord called them when our hot water went out. Brr!! They started with the cheap, simple fix first. Mike showed me how to clean under the hot water heater so the airflow would allow the pilot to stay on. Unfortunately, an element in the hot water heater had burnt out, so they came back and replaced it--easy peasy.

I liked Marcus and Mike so much that I had them come inspect a house that I was about to buy, when I moved from the rental.

2. Marcus came through my house under contract and gave me an extended estimate of the so called minor repairs needed that our inspector noted. He also diagnosed the low pressure we were receiving in the house, and gave me an estimate to repair it. I was able to take that estimate into my negotiation for the purchase of my home. But as he did the estimate, he educated me as to the issues that would need immediate repair, and those that could wait to be addressed.

3. In the new house, we had a creepy clogged sink that kept filling with water. I called them and Marcus explained that our condenser line from the AC was draining into the sink. He told me how I could fix it myself, and also gave me a quote of a sort of 'worst case scenario' price. I am not feeling handy these days so I asked them to come out anyway. The next day, Mike coordinated with me to even arrive early if I was available. When he got there, he showed me how to clear the clog myself for next time. I totally appreciated him dropping some plumbing science on me. That was the first time I had gotten a chance to talk with him, and had a meeting of the minds.

4. We discussed some environmental issues and the City of Austin's possible allowance of grey water systems. Mike is a very conscious 'yardner' and is super aware of ways to make a household more green. When the city allows grey water irrigation, I will want them to come help me set a system up to conserve water.

It's much less scary to own a home when you have a good, honest plumber in your contacts.

We called for a number of estimates on replacing our old water heater. Marcus offered the best price including all parts and labor for a new water heater. He explained everything very thoroughly and did not make me feel stupid for the questions I had about water heaters and meeting city code requirements. He ended up being one of the best experiences we have had in Austin service related. I cannot thank him enough for making what started out as a confusing home repair stress free. He exceeded our expectations and would recommend him to anyone!

My father in law always says if you find a good plumber hang on to him! I'm never deleting Marcos' phone number. I've been calling Marcos and Mike for a couple of years now and they've always been great to deal with. Our house is 50 years old and we have some crappy old pipes that like to cling onto anything they possibly can. We had a clog this week, I called Marcos and he was at my place within a couple of hours. He ran his snake out to the street to no avail and then CALLED THE CITY OF AUSTIN FOR ME and had a city crew out within an hour. Marcos handled everything, by the end of the night the city crew had my driveway shredded and they were adding a city clean out (because I didn't have one) and now we're flowing again. I've never heard of a plumber calling the city and taking care of everything for his client like that. Incredible customer service.

Marcos and Mike are awesome. These guys are honest and fair and I'm not calling anyone else for my plumbing needs as long as they're around.

I live in CA but rent a home in Austin. My tenant called me that they weren't getting hot water. We got a handyman to look and concluded that the water heater was not leaking but the pilot was not staying lit. Since it was urgent, I needed someone who could attend to it on the same day.

After a few calls to various plumbing companies, I called Gardenhouse and talked to Marcus. I explained that this was super urgent. He drove across town (from south austin) to cedar park almost immediately. His findings once he looked at the water heater were exactly the same as what he suspected when I first talked to him (defective pilot assembly for this brand of water heater).

He had to run back across town to get the parts. He coordinated with my tenant on the best time to come back. My tenant wanted him to show up first thing in the morning, he promptly did and took care of the replacement.

Marcus is not only an expert, but very punctual and professional. He kept my tenant and me in the loop through out the process. Look no further!

I had a leaky faucet in the bath and needed to install a new valve to fix it. I found Marcos is close to my home, and gave him a call on Tuesday. He and Mike showed up the second day on time. They are really efficient and professional, they fixed the installation behind the wall within one hour, which is almost half the time estimated, and only cost $120. They are knowledgeable about plumbing and would like to explain how it works. Mike even showed me how to flush the water heater. For sure will recommend them to all who need plumbing work done quick, efficient and saving money!

I had a hot water CPVC pipe leak just inside the wall of our hot water heater closet - on a Saturday of course. After shutting off the water, I called Marcus and describe the issue as I saw it. He explained exactly what their rates are and were able to give me a rough estimate over the phone based on my description of the problem. He was very helpful on the phone and had Mike call me and came out on his way from another job. He was there in under 2 hours, which I consider quick on a weekend, where I live. Mike arrived and made the repair to the leak that actually had two issues (one of which I missed). There is more to the story, but all I can say is Mike went above and beyond. He was quick and professional and the price was very fair (parts too!), even for a weekend rate. A relief after the last couple horrible plumbers I used. Definitely give these guys a try. One Star also for Yelp since they do not take phone inquiries. I wanted to know how to reply to a reply. So I have to do another review to refute what Marcos said in his comment. When he was here with his assistant Mike, they told me exactly how the installation of the double vanity would be done. No problem. Now he comes up with the pious rhetoric about legalities. That was never mentioned. This is the first I have heard of his objections. And why would he give me an estimate if he was not planning on doing the work? The estimate was not a problem ...I called him to set up a time to do the work. In any case, I would expect a professional to call me personally and explain his arguments, and not simply never call back. Draw your own conclusion. Myself, I will not spend one more minute of my time on this person.

Mike was great. He arrived on time, fixed my faucet and Hot Water heater in no time. I feel he was reasonable, courteous and will not hesitate to call them again and recommend them. After being totally burned by another plumber Marcus and Mike truly helped us out. They showed up to pull our plumbing permit, completed the work over a weekend, and were affordable. They consistently show up on time and are very reliable. I have some other jobs that need to be completed in the near future and they are my "go-to" guys.
