My wife and I researched a couple of dozen of the top rated and/or most popular plumbing companies in the PDX region, and Garden Home were at the top by ratings and overall price/professionalism.

We have had issues with two sinks in our home, and scheduled a call for Derek to come out and troubleshoot/fix. My wife met him and was very pleased with his work, the final bill, and his depth of knowledge. It really seems like these folks are out there to just do a great job and they deserve their stellar reputation.

We will definitely do business with Derek and Lani again!

This is the second time I've used Garden Home Plumbing, and if anything I love them even more! Our house was built in 1938 and has all the ""old house"" issues. In 2017, Derek came out and unplugged a heavily clogged bathroom sink. This time, after I'd found water dripping from the shower into the basement, I feared the worst. However, Derek took a look, told me the problem wasn't with the pipes but with the shower faucet which, I admit, hadn't been working well for years, and promptly replaced the Delta shower valve cartridge and put on a new spout, all in the space of an hour.

He wore a mask and took proper Covid precautions throughout, which I appreciated. He is pleasant and professional. His wife, Lani, handles the booking and billing and she is a delight to work with also. The final bill was very reasonable. I wouldn't use anyone else but Garden Home plumbing for my plumbing needs.

Derek has always been outstanding. I first used him about 10 years ago when I got tired of replacing the drain pipe under the kitchen sink and having it leak, over and over and over. Then and there I decided given how affordable and effective his work was, I wouldn't waste my time anymore doing my own plumbing work. Two houses later, still call on Derek when I have a plumbing problem, when I redid my shower, when I had a new sink and dishwasher plumbed in for a remodel, and I'm planning on calling him soon to repair the hose bib that stopped working.

Derek and Lani are awesome! I suspect the two negative reviews are from customers with little experience dealing with contractors. Believe me, Derek is not like others in his field. He's much more conscientious and actually takes pride in his trade.

Derek completed two separate jobs for me in the Spring of 2017. I was impressed when Lani CALLED me to inquire about my satisfaction with the work after each job wrapped up. Again, this is something very few in the industry would ever do! Because I was pleased with the service received, I recently referred my mother to Garden Home Plumbing & Drain. My mother also found Derek and Lani to be very helpful and honest. We both would not only recommend Garden Home, we intend to hire them for future plumbing needs.

Excellent service... prompt, friendly and fair. I called them out to replace a corroded shut off valve so my new dishwasher could be installed.

While here, Derek noticed how the hot water in the kitchen was just a trickle. He fixed that, too. I had gotten used to it being that way, but now that it's fixed, it's so much better!
