We just had a Lennox heat pump and Bradford and White hot water heater installed after getting bids from three local installers. Devan from GCPH scoped out our situation and his proposal was the most detail oriented of the three. We decided to go with Garden City and are very glad we did. The job was a three day project.
Both Mike and Shane were on time every day, kept us informed about the process, supplied us with space heaters for the first night without a furnace, and went the distance rounding up their plumber Aaron to get the hot water heater installed the first day.
Mike made sure we understood the programmable thermostat before he left on Friday which was timely as the temps plummeted that night and into the weekend.
We are very happy with Garden City and would recommend them to others who are investing in a heat pump. All staff were informative, friendly, and competent.

Here's my story. Garden city had me sign a contract and put half down before the would schedule the jod, a pipe replacement. The job was to be just under $800. The contract included 10 feet of PVC abd 2 plumbers for 2-3 hours to complete the job. After paying half of the estimate and signing for services it took almost a week and me becoming upset to finally be scheduled for the repair. Mind you this is a sink drain at my Preschool, so my staff and I are using bus tubs in the sinks and pooring and water down the toilet, because the sinks drian pipe is what needs replaces. Then the day of repair comes and sick plumbers on July 5th!! So this brings us to July 6th, weeks post the initial inspection, 2 plumbers come out, they are in house for 45 minutes on site for 1.5 hours, including lunch in their truck out front. 45 minutes not 2-3 hours (whichthe amount of time needed was why I waited so long to get scheduled) The invoice comes this week, doesn't show the now ""Flat Rate"" initial amount, doesn't show the deposit payment, isn't itemized, but the invoice is for the remining balance, the BILL REMAINS THE SAME, even with half the man hours. So disappointed that I didn't give my business to a smaller company!!

Called because my well tank needed replaced / no response for two weeks I do not recommend this company / I was without water for 5 days after calling over 5 plumbing companies/ did the project myself after one plumbing company wanted to charge me 250.00 for a ball shutoff valve that cost me 38.00 at home depot / I recommend trying to to it yourself - most of these plumbing companies seemed to be managed by incompetent tweakers / do your research before they take advantage of you

We had a Geothermal heat pump go out ( no heat ) called GCP, once ,twice,
two weeks later I called a third time requested to talk to the owner Bill, was told he would call me back........... Nope ( to busy or did not care?) I got a call from a estimator who should have called me back way sooner than two weeks, he apologized..... blamed the lack of customer service on COVID, and people with no heat calls, Hmmm my original problem. Funny thing Temprite got a bid in the same day as the service call........... Andersons Heating and Air put a bid in 3 days later, the owner John Anderson, personally went out to survey the situation, put his bid in the same day. Now thats customer service, looks like Bill didnt even get to bid on a $20,000 job because of a lack of customer service his employees provide. If Bill would have taken 10 min. for a call he might have smoothed things over, but another Company's owner went the distance, took the time,........ and got the job.

We had a leaky faucet in our kitchen sink. One person was sent who replaced the part in less than 15 minutes and, without having provided a prior estimate, presented a bill of more than $400 for part and labor. Subsequently searching the internet for the part used to replace the defective one, prices of between $15 and $50 were found. My appeal to GCP&H for reconsideration of the total cost resulted in a $50 reduction but a further appeal has gone unanswered. Also, this was the second time such an overcharge was made, with the first one claimed as a mistake and reduced. Clearly it's time to find a new provider.

My furnace cut out during the winter at 9 pm on a Saturday night. I also have small kids in the house so I needed to make an emergency call to get a tech out here to look at it and see if we can get it started again. I called Garden City plumbing and heating to get there after our service. They told me a tech would call me shortly. After an hour without receiving a phone call I called them back and was told that they will send out another page to their tech. Half an hour later I called them again to check in on the process because the tech is still not called me and they told me that they would message the tech again. At 11 P.m., 2 hours after my initial call, their office called me to let me know that they were unable to send out a tech. I get that companies are shorthanded right now, but don't leave me hanging for two hours during a winter night with no furnace while they try to figure themselves out. If they didn't have the personnel to come out they should have just told me that upfront so I can move on.

We were very pleased with Garden City Heating & Plumbing. I sent a message on Yelp 'after hours' and received a quick response, even though we didn't have an emergency. The courteous gentleman came out today, as we are returning to OH in 5 days. He quickly diagnosed the problem as to why our heat was not 'coming on' and fixed the issue. Frank wore a mask and explained the problem. The charge was very reasonable! Highly recommend!

We just had a horrible experience with this Company. They ripped us off from start to finish. They lied to us and overcharged and scammed us. Approach this Company with extreme caution. Get everything in writing right from the start. Check the quality of their work when they are done, too. Make sure they are not charging you while their staff are sitting outside your home or business doing nothing. A 10-minute job cost us hundreds of dollars. Hopefully you get the hint. At the end, they also highlighted our account too as a customer to not provide service to in the future, which is laughable after the experience we had with them from start to finish!

William, thank you for your response to our review. You should refer to our detailed letter to your office for the rip offs performed by your staff on our service calls. There is lots of details there that you as the owner should be aware of in the future so it is prevented from happening to customers like us in the future. We also wish you and your Company the best and hope this unfortunate incident is not repeated on your customers in the future.
