This is the second time that I have used Garcia Plumbing. Gregg is knowledgeable, professional, and tells you like it is. He completed my recent job in a timely manner and saved me money by recommending that I not replace an old but working washer faucet. Gregg was fair with his prices and did not try to increase the scope of the job with extra add on costs. I highly recommend this company; they are trustworthy, reasonably priced, and skilled in their field of practice.

We hired Greg to run a gas line to our fireplace. Before getting started he pointed out that when he turned the gas back on, he might not be able to relight the pilot light of our ancient hot water heater, in which case he'd have to go out and get a new one. No pressure to get one up front--he simply laid out the options for me. He was very professional, worked unobtrusively, ran the pipe very cleanly--no drama, he just got the job done. He came again recently to look at our toilet, which didn't want to flush--big problem that no other plumber could solve other than to suggest replacing the toilet. Greg raised the water level in the tank and now the toilet flushes every time. He also looked at other wonky things in the bathroom and kitchen and gave us options--and only charged a $100 consulting fee. Greg is very in demand, so you might have to be persistent, but he's worth it.

I housesit for a friend in San Francisco and I try to take care of the work she needs on her house. I've used Greg a couple of times and he's been prompt,reasonable and gets the job done as advertised. We needed a earthquake safety valve for the gas line and a waterline for a new refrigerator. Both were done without incident.

I highly recommend Gregg and Garcia plumbing! I needed a new gas line installed for a gas insert fireplace, reached out to the 3 gas plumbers that O'Kells fireplace had recommended and Gregg came back with the best quote, quite a bit lower than the highest.

He was prompt with his initial inspection appointment and installation day, very efficient, finishing a couple hours before I thought he would. Passed inspection the next day with the inspector commenting that Gregg's work is so good, he barely needs to check it. Would definitely hire again.

He's a nice guy and takes the time to explain any questions you may have and he doesn't leave a mess. When Okells came to install the gas fireplace I was asked what company had installed the gas line. We have used Garcia Plumbing for over 10 years in SF for a variety of jobs and they have always been responsive, provided work at a good price, and are reliable. They tell us when they think there is a better way to approach a problem or when the City is liable for an issue such as street tree roots clogging the sewer line. Greg is very knowledgable and clear when he explains what the issues are. They are a family run operation. We always call them and are happy to have such a good and trustworthy plumber!

Greg contacted me via Home Depot regarding installing the kitchen faucet I had just purchased. He was able to do the work two days later, gave me a half hour window, and called when he was ten minutes away...very considerate. He worked quickly and efficiently, and was professional and patient. I finally found a plumber in the city that I can trust and rely on. I've tried many different plumbers in the last 5 years, but I'm so happy now that I found Greg and his family. I recently had some water hammer issues and an old leaking shower faucet. Greg came to make an assessment, and was super honest on what the issues were. Then when they came back a week later to do the actual repairs, they worked non-stop to fix the issue. The did a great job, cutting into my shower tile, changing out the shower valves and adding a new plate to cover the hole. Super easy to talk to and have been in the plumbing business for over 20 years now. Greg and his family were born and raised in San Francisco, so they've been around for a while, growing their family business. Greg, his brother and their kids all working together to run this mom and pop shop. They are willing to go down to Woodside for jobs, and even Oakland too. Good people, so definitely give them a shot.
