I finally found a plumber in the city that I can trust and rely on. I've tried many different plumbers in the last 5 years, but I'm so happy now that I found Greg and his family. I recently had some water hammer issues and an old leaking shower faucet. Greg came to make an assessment, and was super honest on what the issues were. Then when they came back a week later to do the actual repairs, they worked non-stop to fix the issue. The did a great job, cutting into my shower tile, changing out the shower valves and adding a new plate to cover the hole. Super easy to talk to and have been in the plumbing business for over 20 years now. Greg and his family were born and raised in San Francisco, so they've been around for a while, growing their family business. Greg, his brother and their kids all working together to run this mom and pop shop. They are willing to go down to Woodside for jobs, and even Oakland too. Good people, so definitely give them a shot.

Wow this is the first time I rated a business that recommended that I didn't use them.

Greg contacted me after I put in a request at Home Depot to put in a garbage disposal. We talked for a while on the phone regarding my situation with the electrical and plumbing situation. He was very patient in explaining to me all that's required to do all the work.

Ultimately he recommended that I didn't put in the garbage disposal. I really appreciate the frankness and the time he took to assess the situation. You will have my future business if plumbing problems ever occur.

The toilet in my sister's place needed to be unclogged. She called Garcia Plumbing. It took two men and $800 to unclog the toilet!!! If my husband had been in town, we would have rented the snake for less than $50 and done this job in 1-2 hours!!!!

My contractor suggested I contact Garcia Plumbing to unclog a drain spout outside my house. Julie called me the night before to confirm the appointment and gave me a half-hour window for the plumber to show up, which is nearly unheard-of in the service industry.

Gil arrived on time and used a power snake to clean out the drain, then gave me some free advice on how to keep it clean of debris. He charged me $100 for the job. A year ago, O'Grady Plumbing had charged me $236 to fix a similar problem in another drain. I am calling Garcia for my plumbing needs from now on.

An honest, capable, company. Greg and his brother work quickly and leave a clean work site. Their prices are fair and they present options to keep the job within your budget. Very friendly, nice people. You can't go wrong with these guys.

We've used a few of the larger SF based plumbing companies for small home emergencies, but not any more. Greg from Garcia Plumbing has done two separate jobs for us--both on very short notice, both quality work, both fairly priced. On top of that, he's a really nice guy who seems more like a handy neighbor than a random plumber. I'm glad to have found a great small business that I can wholeheartedly support.

I've contacted Garcia Plumbing twice in 6 months for separate problems. On the first contact, they never responded to my recorded message. Six months later (2 days ago) I contacted them again based on Angie's List recommendation. I was told that they would get back to me to set up an appointment. The return call never transpired.

I have no idea what their quality of work is, but their customer service definitely sucks.

Very professional in every respect. They do the job one way -- the right way. The only reason I hesitated to give them the fifth star is they can be hard to track down on the phone. I think that comes from being in demand...
