$150 for the plumber to pull out the pop-up, wipe off a bit of gunk, replace the pop-up, and test the flow in the drain.  Took 3 minutes.

When I called (afterwards) to question the charges, was told that that is their "standard fee for an hour's work."

Did the plumber ask if there was anything else that he could do toward earning an hour's pay? Negative...just got his check and hit the road.

I've been using Gap for years. Everything from snaking a line to re-piping the whole house, putting a complete new sewer line in from the house to connect to city pipe at the street. We also have had them install a water softener.
While installing the sewer line they accidentally broke a sprinkler head. They immediately told us to tell them how much it would cost to repair and they credited our invoice.
Gap always manages to get out right away for emergencies.
Their customer service is outstanding. They keep you updated on when they will arrive and keep you informed of the cost.
I would not use another company.
However....
If I could change anything about this local family owned and operated company is for the repairmen to use the booties on their work shoes.
I highly recommend Gap Plumbing for all of your plumbing needs.

They were up front and honest and made sure they understood what service I required (uninstalling old sink and installing new one) and provided the service they said they would in the time they said they would do it. Great service and I would use them again.

After my home warranty company called 5 plumbers in a Friday at 5 pm, I called GAP plumbing and they came out with in an hour. They were honest and reasonable and I'm thrilled to have found them. Called on 8/22/16 just after dropping kids off at school and scheduled an inspection of our water heater. Our A/C guy noticed a slow drip coming from the water heater a few days prior doing a summer inspection of our A/C. I checked it out for myself and did not feel comfortable torquing on some of the line that the drip was coming from. It was obvious that it had been dripping for some time. Spoke with Jerri and she stated they would be there between 10a-12 and would call when they were on the way. Arrived at 10:15 shortly after Jerri's call and Justin and his partner cut the lines and reattached new ones..Problem solved. Excellent Service, Friendly, Prompt and Great Customer Service.. Can't get much better than that...Would recommend and will use again in the future.

GAP Plumbing quickly responded when we needed help with our plumbing issue! We had called another company before GAP and they weren't going to send anyone for 24-48 hours. GAP Plumbing showed up quickly and was thorough in their repair work. They are friendly to deal with both on the phone and in person. I will absolutely call them again if we need plumbing assistance in the future and I have already referred friends to them! It's nice to have a great company like this to deal with when you have a stressful plumbing emergency.

Had GAP Plumbing install a water heater 11 months ago for $1250. It stop working two days ago. They came out charged me another $150 to replace the water nipple that was leaking from install and relight the pilot. It took 5 minutes and they did not stand behind their original work. We will not use GAP Plumbing in the future. It's amazing companies will lose customers over such little money.

Service call #1. Came to repair a leaking toilet. Adjusted a screw and it stopped running. Changed a shower head but did not have extension. In the house for 10 minutes. $150.
Customer service not too emphetic at first but sent them back as Toilet continued running next day. Service call # 2.. Tested it and it did not run, so they did not think of the possibility that it was an intermittent problem. Were told that we were not flushing our toilet properly. Decided to have them switch our shower heads since they still did not have an extension, had the replace a gasket on the bathtub to avoid a complete wast of time.Visit time 15 minutes. Charged another $150. Toilet still runs. If you think 20 minutes of service to switch two showerheads, change a bathtub gasket and be told how to flush a toilet is worth $300 then GAP Plumbing is the company for you.

Like always, one's impression is all they have to go by. Others may have had a great experience. The real test of a company is how they do when they have a customer satisfaction fail. If they had just made things right and just kept the charge to $150 instead of trying to make a killing, I would have been fine with the toilet not being fixed. Some businesses are fine with churning customers in a large city.

Great find! I came home for lunch, to a leak in main water line coming into my house. GAP was busy until tomorrow, but when I told them I was without water, they worked me in. By 5:00 PM, all was well.

Ultra fast service and VERY reasonably priced. Hope plumbing needs are far in the future, but I will remember who to call.
