Called to have Darko look at our water heater and he was able to make it out the next day. He arrived early with mask on and was very professional. He gave some very useful tips on how we could help the situation as well. I would definitely use his service again.

My kitchen sink was clogged and the water was backing up. I tried all the usual home remedies myself before calling someone. They usually work, but occasionally you have to call a professional. I first called a big name plumber company. They wanted to charge me $79 just to come out and diagnose the problem. In other words an ""estimate"". I asked if they could give me a ballpark number and they said ""no"". I told them I did not have outdoor access and I had a P-Trap, hoping they could give me some idea on cost. They still refused to give me an estimate (I wasn't asking for a quote) over the phone. I told them I'd call them back and that $79 charge quickly went down to $39. I told them I still did not feel right about paying someone $39 for an estimate when I have no idea how expensive it will be in the end. Even if I did not use their services I would still have to pay the $39. I'm not in the habit of paying for estimates, so I told them I'd call them back.

I got on Yelp and found Galaxy Rooter & Plumbing. Darko had 5 stars and it seemed like people really had some nice stuff to say about him. From the reviews I did read, I could not agree more. I called Galaxy and left a voicemail. He called back within 5-10 minutes. I told him my problem and that I had a P-Trap and no outside access and asked for an estimate. Without any hesitation he gave me an estimate. I had used a big name plumber years ago for the same problem and from what I remember I paid more than what Darko estimated, so I booked him. He said he'd be over in about 2 hours. He showed up on time, wearing a face mask and shoe covers. He was friendly, he asked a few questions and got to work. Within 30 minutes he was done. He did not leave any mess and the drain was cleared. He asked me to check all the faucets in the house to make sure the clog hadn't just moved further down the line. I tested all the sinks and things were running smooth. He charged me exactly what he told me on the phone. He let me pay with credit card with a small fee (which was fine with me because he told me ahead of time). As he was leaving he said I had a 30 day guarantee and to call him back if it got clogged up again or if there were any problems. I like that Darko is no nonsense. He is honest and straightforward. No silly games.

The drain in our kitchen blocked up so we needed some help to get it cleared out. After checking the reviews for plumbers on Yelp we I contacted Galaxy Rooter. I spoke with Darko and set up an appointment for later in the morning. He arrived on time, quickly set up the necessary equipment and proceeded to clean out the drain. After thoroughly clearing the drain he cleaned up the area. Darko is a straightforward businessman and was easy to work with. Another plus is that he is based in Pleasanton and I always prefer to support our local small businesses.

Darko did a great job! We called him on a Sunday afternoon when our sewer line started to back up. He arrived within an hour and quickly cleared the sewer line. Prices were stated in his binder so you know he didn't just make up a price on the spot. We are very satisfied with his speed, promptness, and professionalism. We would definitely recommend him.

Ok, so when you have tried to unclog the drain yourself, and you come to the unfortunate conclusion that you have to get a professional plumber, you bite your lower lip and prepare for your pipes to be cleaned (pun intended).

So, I went to Yelp! to find a good plumber. Lucky for me, I found Galaxy Plumbing and Darko, the king of plumbers! He is a wonderfully professional, well-experienced and licensed plumber who is honest as the day is long.

I spoke to him around 11am, and he showed up within the timeframe promised, about 3 hours from my call. He diagnosed the problem quickly, and was able to administer the antidote efficiently with little pain. He found the clean-out pipe and was able to snake it within just about 1/2 hour. He made me test sink, tub and toilet to make sure everything drained properly.

The cost was very reasonable, and the work comes with a 30 day warranty!! He is such a pleasant person--I will definitely hire him again for any plumbing job I have. Let's support our locals: he lives and works in Pleasanton!

Immediate, great service. Darko is professional and friendly and knows what he's doing. We called him on a Sunday afternoon because all of our toilets and sinks were clogged simultaneously and he came out within 90 minutes! He found the problem was also happening in our kitchen sink, which we didn't know. Affected the whole house. He found the problem and even climbed the roof to use one of the vents to clean out all the pipes and had it all completely solved within a couple hours at a reasonable price. Will definitely call again!
