Fye! Owning an old house means we must be prepared to slay dragons. As I started writing this review, I had been without natural gas to my house for over 2 weeks. It's Fall. The weather had turned a bit chilly at night and I had to take a hot shower at my daughters house if I wanted human contact. My stove, clothes dryer, and heater were beginning to think I didn't trust them anymore. Gas, all of them. All because I panicked after receiving a gas bill that exceeded $160 for one month and called the gas company. They immediately came out and confirmed there definitely was a leak and unceremoniously cut me off. I guess I should have thanked them for not letting me blow up the house. But no, I whined. I found myself playing a mini version of a spoiled pioneer woman. Roughing it.

My very dependable, local plumber (not Galaxy) came out immediately and repaired an obviously glaringly rotten gas line leading to our water heater. But when it came time to turn the gas back on, the gas company inspector gave me the bad news: the pressure tests still failed. Three more leak repairs later, we had to admit our historic,107 year old house was in dire need of a complete re-piping of the ancient gas lines running under the house. There was enough crawl space for a midget. Only they can truly know what a nightmare that was. Ugh.

Ok. So what else could go wrong? We got the great news that they couldn't start yet. Any house built before 1980 required lab tests done for asbestos and lead paint. This was because they would be tearing into my interior walls. Oh yeah, and by the way, that will cost a half a grand just for that. We, thankfully, passed with flying colors.

Next came the permit and ordering of the necessary parts. Our plumber guy finally admitted he was having problems pulling the city permit. Not sure why. It was at this point, he referred us to Galaxy (which I had no clue about). To my relief, I found that Yelpers had great confidence in Galaxy.

The Galaxy entourage arrived at 8 am the very next day, exactly as promised. Whoa! Three workers from Galaxy, plus the owner and the lead plumber from the first plumbing business. They started with the obligatory ""passing of the torch"" ritual and then rolled up their sleeves in a plumber-ly sort of way and got straight to work.

After a full day of working with intense focus, finally they ceremoniously turned on my gas. These guys knew they were my heroes. They even cleaned up after themselves. And it was properly permitted.

Oh hot water, I heart you!

On Day #17, our city inspector gave us a clean bill of health. While this was a painful sequence of events, Galaxy has soothed my soul. I really need to thank my original plumber in Corona for making this referral.

I truly appreciated his insight and advice.
Although my HOA will be using their plumbers to repair the leak, I'll definitely use Galaxy in the event I need a plumber.
Something to be said about quality in customer service, and these guys got it!

Awesome service. Showed up within hour of my call. Needed cartridge replaced for master bedroom tub with leaky faucet. Had two other companies come and say they couldn't do it and one that said would have to cut tile to access etc etc.... Galaxy showed up replaced cartridge for 175.

He came out this afternoon, and fixed the issue for significantly less than what we thought it would cost (Jose quickly detected that it was a corroded bath tub nozzle that was causing a backup, and NOT a leaking pipe).

Anyways, based upon my friend's referral, and our own personal experience, we highly recommend Jose at Galaxy Plumbing if you need a plumber.

Have you ever met an honest and reliable plumber? Today, I did. My morning coffee was met with puddles in the kitchen that traveled from the living room. Dialed up Jose at Galaxy Plumbing and by the afternoon Marcos showed up with an assistance. Marcos gave a thorough inspection without cutting the drywall and quoted me a number in which the end he actually met! Marcus did he best with the cuts and repairs and kept our place nice and CLEAN before he finished the job. While doing the work he took the time to carefully explain to me the problem and detailed out what he was going to do in addition to optional preventative measures. Within a few hours the job was done and Marcos was true to his word. Galaxy Plumbing was my hero!

I have used Galaxy for a few years now and I have never been unhappy with them as far as unclogging my drains. However, 1.5 years ago I had a main line water leak from the street and his guys worked hard and found the leak, patched and repaired it. Wasn't cheap, cost me $2000.00.
A couple of months ago during the rainy season the leak started up again and they said that the water line to the street should all be replaced and I was quoted another 2000.00. They finished the job in 2 days and I had to call a couple of times because the connections to the shut off valve were leaking. At this time I never turned on the sprinklers because of all the rain so I didn't realize that there was a problem.
So after it hadn't rained in a few days I decided to turn on the sprinkles and nothing. There was no water going into the backyard. I called the owner, Jose and I told him I had no water. So he sent out his team and they told me that they didn't realize that the water line to the back yard was not connected. So instead of doing the job correctly they decided to connect the hose line - from the water that came from the house- and used the water that came through the house to run the sprinklers. In other words I had no water that came directly from the street, but instead went through the house to water the yard.
Of course I had no water pressure and the sprinklers did not pop up all the way and there was no way that I was going to turn up the water pressure in the house to make the sprinklers pop up.
I called Jose the owner and told him that I was unhappy and needed the job done correctly and he was very surprised at what his guys did. He never once came out to talk to me about how he was going to fix this problem. Instead he cowered behind his staff and told them to tell me that it would cost me another $900.00 to put a new water line to the backyard. I was shocked that he was going to charge me again when it was his staff that made the mistake. Well, I wasn't going to let them touch my irrigation anymore. I lost all trust in Galaxy at that point.
I called another irrigation company and they found the water line which
went to my backyard and basically reconnected it. Funny it was only about 2 feet from where they laid the new line. It cost me $700.00, but it was done right. So $700.00 dollars to correct a mistake that Galaxy should have done for free. I never heard from Jose, no apologies.

So the rains flooded our yard and I got the pump set up but it was just not enough. Called Galaxy Plumbing and they were out in just over an hour. Jose and his team are amazing. The jetted out all our drains from the yard and the difference is incredible! Thanks again!!

Galaxy plumbing arrived this morning for a leak under the bathroom sink, hot/cold valves and line replaced at a very reasonable price.

I texted them for a 9:am appointment. They were here at 9am sharp.

I have used them before to install a new kitchen faucet in a remodel, they are #1.

They are very personal and understanding, no one within 1000 miles can beat their work or prices.

I have used Galaxy Plumbing at my office and more recently at my home. They are very responsive and they flawlessly handled my issues. On two occasions that had come to my office, within an hour of my calling, to handle leaks (two different issues at different locations). More recently they came out to my home, in the rain to clear my back yard drains. My back yard was completely flooded due to the recent heavy rain and the roots clogging the drains.

Jose and his crew are professional and courteous. Their prices are fair and I have been more than happy to refer them to any of my customers, family or friends.
