2022-06-16 My AC started leaking into the drip pan. I called Gainesville Mechanical to request a maintenance visit. Luckily, she said they just had a cancellation and could have a technician come out with a couple of hours. As promised Michael, the AC technician, arrived shortly. He made a complete check of the system and was unable to find any leaks. He did find the puron to be about 2 lbs. light and the evaporator coils were very dirty. He said these two things could cause the coils to freeze up and that melting could account for the leaking water. After addressing those two problems and performing other preventative maintenance routings, he said the problem should be resolved. Michael was friendly, a good listener, and very responsive. His work was very professional, efficient, and thorough. I am thoroughly enjoying the result of his repairs and I even was able to turn the thermostat up a couple of degrees because the increased cooling the system is now providing. I originally chose Gainesville Mechanical because of the great reviews and am adding my good review to that stack. I highly recommend them for your HVAC needs.

They came out to my house in Demorest spent less than thirty minutes clearing a drain and charged me $480. I thought it was price gouging. They came recommended which was a big disappointment. The drain clogged again a week later and I paid a real plumber less than $200 For a real fix. i think they were just taking advantage of people during the pandemic. Very sad.

Well.....they were my plumber. Very nice people and prompt but their plumbers tend to be younger and less experienced. I've been using them for 3 years and they usually get the job done. Unfortunately I had them out 3 weeks ago to quote a cost for tearing up part of my terrace and plugging up a leak. They said they could start in a week as their schedule was light. They never contacted me again. I wonder how much of this months $550 water bill could have been averted.

Very slow service 24 hours. Called as 24 hour service. Service man called back and said he could be here by 2am or first thing in the morning. I said ok first thing in the morning. I called to find out what time and was informed about 6pm. That is not first thing in the morning.

We have an annual maintenance contract on our heating and air systems. Service technician Luis Jimenez came out and did the annual checkup on the furnace. **Beware of Pricing on Parts** I've used Gainesville Mechanical twice. Once for a hot water heater (installation only), and most recently to repair my furnace. Both times the technicians were top notch. Gainesville Mechanical took complete advantage of me on the furnace repair though. I was charged $530 (before a repeat customer 10% discount) on a control board. Pricing for this board runs $110-120 from most vendors on the internet. I realize they need to make a buck, but a 4-500% markup from what I can buy it for? Very disappointing. Called to discuss and could not get a return phone call.

Had Lane and Dan come out to house to check out hot water heater. Did an excellent job diagnosing the issue and rebuild the water heater. Had a minor mistake and didn't flip the switch on the second water heater. Had them come out on a Saturday and fix the issue. They were extremely attentive and professional. Showed up when they said they would and called before coming. I highly recommend them.

Gainesville Mechanical always comes through for us. Always timely service right when we need it and fair pricing. This time, our hot water heater was leaking. Lane came out on a Friday and determined it needed to be replaced. He kept in contact with me constantly about when he would arrive and progress of his work, as I wasn't at home. Scheduled the replacement for a Tuesday morning, with the promise to do it sooner if hot water was out. He arrived early and got the work done quickly. Impressed once again and will definitely be calling Gainesville Mechanical for all my plumbing needs!
