Made a mistake in hiring Gabe to replace the sewage grinder pump at my place. Here's a list of what went wrong - save yourself from all the aggravation and go with someone else:

- the job cost $5900 (some would say I paid too much, but stupid me and we didn't have time to shop around); Gabe wanted a deposit of $4,300 for parts before starting the work and doesn't take credit card; who has that much cash laying around and what reputable business can't float that? That should have been the first sign.
- the main work was done the first week in March and paid in full (again, stupid me) but the job wasn't completed. Gabe was to come back to take out the control panel of the old unit and also secure the new control panel. As of today (second week in May), it's still not done. Keeps on promising a date but never shows up - no phone call or notice.
- Gabe promised 2 year warranty plus the first annual maintenance free of charge. He's promised to send me paperwork for these. He was to first have it with him when he showed to collect the final pay. Then he said it would be mailed. He said he would bring when he finishes the job. Still don't have them.
- The worst part of this whole experience, his crappy attitude. He doesn't answer calls or texts after the job. When he finally answers and you ask why he didn't show up, his response - ""what do you want me to do about it"".
