DO NOT CALL THESE THEIVES! I would never have called them if I would have read all the negative reviews first. I made an appointment with them, took the day off and waited. Nobody showed up or called. I don't mind paying extra to get something done but when they don't show or call back, that is just horrible business and I don't have time for that. I'm going to spend the next few hours trying to save others from what I went through. This is why I have lost all my faith in America. Nobody will do anything for the next guy. I can replace the toilets and showers myself but I didn't want to take the time to do it. If I would have known they weren't going to show up I could have already done it myself. I tried to keep America working but not anymore. Let the country collapse and let China take over. I don't care anymore. There is nothing good left in this country. G&R Plumbing is just an example of what this country is all about. A total failure!

Talked to G and R Plumbing, explained the problem, toilet was leaking under the base. Made an appointment for them to come out and assess the situation. Was an easier fix than expected. Toilet had been installed incorrectly and was leaking from seal. Fixed and out the door. Left the work area clean. Very professional. Will call again!

Great job, very prompt, showed up within 3 hours as promised. Then they price gouged me. 15 minutes of work, a $5 pvc elbow $470. Thanks, but I'll check elsewhere next time. I didn't read the reviews prior to calling these guys, but I wish I had. He commented on our cars (we have two nice cars), so I totally believe he jacked up the price. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought the charges would be that much....so I never asked up front. Buyer beware.

G&R Plumbing was hired by Ms. X in June of 2017 to replace the pump on her well in Milford, OH. She was 75 years old, in poor health, and in the process of selling the homestead she had lived on her entire life. G&R Plumbing replaced the pump for her. I have had two Clermont County Inspectors out, and three private contractors since. To write down every bad thing said about the job done here would exceed my character limit! So I will list the highlights: the pump was an old inefficient model, the water tank was the cheapest one on the market, and the plumbing run from the well to the house uses the wrong size pipes. They did not get a permit or an inspection for the job, and they would have failed inspection, since the well was dug too shallow, and they did not installed a pitless adapter around the well opening. For the work they did do, which I have been told should have run from $2000 - $4000, they charged her $8000. I have the original receipts. They put a much higher price than that on the invoice, and then gave her a ""senior discount"" I believe in capitalism and the free market. But this is just taking advantage of an old lady who had no one to defend her. When they were done, even her old eyes could clearly see that they had done a terrible job, and said she wouldn't pay them. They threatened to put a lien on her property, and since the house was for sale, she relented and paid them what they wanted.

While we were buying the house, Ms. X told us about the well, gave us the receipts, and really hoped we could do something about them. As soon as we moved in, I contacted Clermont Country to get the well inspected. Two different inspectors came out. Both of them agreed that the well had not been brought up to code, which Ohio Health Code requires whenever a well is worked on. Clermont County cannot deal with details like installing a shoddy pump, but I was confident that they could make G&R Plumbing at least bring the well up to code. They sent a letter to Randy Partin, telling him what needed to be fixed, and giving him a deadline for getting the work done. This is how I met Randy for myself. He came out twice. Both times he congratulated me on the new house, said that he had done a good job on the well, and then said that I shouldn't have called the county because Clermont Country would just make me do a lot of extra and unnecessary things to get the well to pass inspection. The first time he said he would send me an estimate for getting the work done (which never came), and the second time he said it would be ""about $5000"" to bring the well up to code, but again, he never gave me an estimate in writing. To this day, I do not have any piece of paper to prove I have ever met Randy Partin or to say he ever saw the well again, and I am sure that is not an accident.

The deadline from Clermont County came and went, and nothing was done to our well. Clermont County confirmed to me that they could give deadlines, but not enforce them. So I contacted the State of Ohio Department of Health and filed a bond claim against G&R Plumbing. I submitted all of the paperwork I had accumulated trying to get our well brought up to code, and in response, I now also have a letter from the State of Ohio saying that violations occurred on our well, so everyone agrees that G&R Plumbing violated Ohio Health Code. However, after months of waiting, it was discovered that ""an unfortunate loophole"" in Ohio code does not permit me to take action against G&R Plumbing, because I am not the one who paid the money to have the well worked on in the beginning. The Ohio Department of Health says ""their hands are tied,"" and the Ohio Well Water Association who took my case to the Ohio Department of Health on my behalf after I tried and failed, was also told the same thing.

So here we are. The well water gave 4 out of 6 people in this house diarrhea after we moved in, and we have been drinking bottled water for months waiting for this process to play itself out. (We did pay to have our water tested, and it has bacteria levels greater than 200 ppm. As a comparison, the bacteria level has to be below 5 ppm to pass inspection!) Individuals from Clermont Country, the Ohio Department of Health, and the private contractor who will be bringing the well up to code next week have all encouraged me to sue G&R Plumbing for what they did here. I am not up for that just yet, but I thought that a factual and public review would be the least I could do for Ms. X, who was legitimately scammed by them.

As an aside, we will be paying $1800 next week to get a new pump put in, and have the well completely brought up to code. That is nowhere close to the $5000 Randy quoted! If you have a well, please do not hire G&R Plumbing for any work you need done. They know about ""unfortunate loopholes"" in Ohio Code, and they will take advantage of them -- and you!

Randy from G&R plumbing charges outrageous prices. He feel he took advantage of my 80 year old mother. He charged her over $141.00 to fix a handle on her toilet. I was out of the state or I would have fixed it in 5 minutes after buying the $5.00 part.

She could have bought a new toilet for that price. I told her to never call him again and to also warn her friends.

This is not the first time I have heard that he overcharges people.

I told my mother to never call this man again and to warn her friends as well.

Steer clear of this scam artist! His M.O. is to ""fix"" your leak for a few months and the come back to ""fix"" it again when it starts leaking again. Between myself and my neighbors he is 0-4!
We found another plumber that actually fixes the leak. This guy has nothing but excuses why he needs to charge you more.

G&R was called by my 88 year old mother, to come out due to her toilet not flushing fully. ""Randy"" (owner?) ran service call, charged her $159.50. Then told her her toilet was broken and removed and replaced with Mansfield 2 - piece toilet that retails for about $150. He charged her $675 installed. Then, claimed to have ""rebuilt"" the copper flange under the toilet and charged $295. Total bill including tax to replace a lower cost toilet came to $1208.60. The repair took approximately 1 hour. He did not give her an estimate before doing the repair. When called about it, he responded angrily, saying he's been in business 30 years. He offered no remedy. Avoid this company.

G and R plumbing was very rude when my bf called them to replace a hot water heater. They said"" that's what you get when you try and save a buck"". I would never use them ever!

Please DON'T use this company!! G and R Plumbing took advantage of the fact I am a woman and charged me $800 for a sump pump replacement. When my husband confronted the owner over the phone they lied about what services were performed. Very dishonest and arrogant company! Would never recommend or use ever!!!!!!

On January 23, 2012 at 5:30pm EST I contacted G&R Plumbing because I was having problems with my hot water heater and main shut off valve in my condo. I needed my main shut off valve replaced because it broke when I shut off the water and I could not turn my water back on. I also wanted my hot water heater looked at to see why my water was not staying hot.
I spoke to a guy named Randy and informed him of the situation. He informed me that he could be out on Thursday January 24, 2013 between 11-12. On January 24, I received a phone call stating that he would be there at 12 noon.
I was not able to be home for Randy but my next door neighbor was at my residence the entire time Randy was present. Randy was on time, and I greatly appreciated it; However, the shock came when he was finished and I had to pay the bill. My total bill came to $373.61. I was outraged. I wanted to yell and haggle more with the pricing, and told him I did not appreciate being GROSSLY over charged, but I was at work.
I was charged $110 just for him to look at the heating elements and tell me that they were fine and nothing was wrong. All randy did was basically tighten a couple screws that were lose and that solved the problem.
I was charged $165.00 a value rate for the replacement of a main shut off valve, even though Home Depot and Lowe's sells the valve for about $50.00.....This is a $115.00 mark up.
I was charged $110.11 to replace a watch line on top of the hot water heater. The watch connector line from Home Depot or Lowes is $12.47 for the copper line fitting for my size pipe and model water heater......Randy gave me a markup of $97.64.
The total I would have spent would have been about $62.47 plus installation about $100-$150.00 dollars. This is $223.00 savings.
After arriving home, I looked at the bill and contacted 3 additional plumbing companies. For their reputation I will not release the names of the companies, but my neighbor was present during all 3 phone calls. One company would have charged me a total of $225.17. A second company would have charged me $175.58. The third and final company would have charged me $235.28,,,all of which are more comparable than $373.61.
Though I appreciate Randy attending to me when he was able, I AM APPAULED AT THE FINAL COST. A cost which should have been significantly lowered. I do not recommend this company to anyone, and do not recommend his services again,,,,for I am one dissatisfied customer. If I wanted to be taken to the cleaners, I would have walked myself through a dry cleaner store
