There should be a NO STAR rating available! This is a horrible company! First, the price was 250$ to put in a pressure regulator because without it, they would not fix a simply leak. Then, the price rocketed to 450$! We talked on the phone and agreed to a time the next day. I wake up and there is a message saying we never confirmed so he's rescheduling us. I call him back and find out one of his trucks is out of commission. Instead of being dishonest, he could have just told us they were running late! Also, the leak took two minutes to fix and should NEVER have cost an extra 450 to get it done. We found a MUCH better company who has been performing repairs on our home. We are thrilled with the new company as they are HONEST and professional!

I was contacted by Gary with GMR after submitting a claim through my home warranty program. When I questioned his $175 pricing to replace an easily accessible 3/4"" butterball valve, he rudely stated that I had no idea what I was talking about and started citing his insurance costs, labor costs, etc. to justify the cost. I then called my regular plumber who was professional and pleasant as usual. He explained the replacement would take less than 30 minutes and the replacement valve cost less than $5. He happily agreed to replace it for $75.

My warranty company called GMR Plumbing to unclog a kitchen drain. The serviceman tried snaking it, and it didn't unclog. He said we had to have a ""clean out"" so he could get a bigger snake. We do not have an outdoor clean out, so he didn't even investigate doing it from the inside, where, it turns out, there was a clean out.. He threw up his hands and said we would have to call the warranty company back. I waited for 4 days to get him to write a report so we could get another plumber through the warranty company. He would not answer my phone calls or return my messages left. Finally, after not having a kitchen sink for over a week, his report was sent in and we got a professional, competent plumber who came in and used a larger snake through the clean-out, which was located under the sink cabinet!
I will definitely never allow my warranty company to send GMR plumbers back to my house! To me, they seem incompetent and not prepared with adequate tools. He didn't even have a plunger or a bucket!

GMR came out to replace our water heater under our home warranty 2 years ago. Just recently our pilot light kept going out so I called GMR to come back out to fix that issue. Not only did they not fix the issue, but they left the light on and door open underneath our house and unfortunately we did not notice till days after. They also charged us for over an hours worth of work. When I came home I noticed that the service agent was laying in our driveway, no idea why he would be doing that. Just bad expensive service all the way around. Called our home warranty company and they have referred us to another company.

I agree with Boyd in these reviews. I have a home warranty also. The shower valve in my master bathroom was leaking and we had to have the water off in house until it could be repaired. The warranty company dispatched GMR Gary Rugg Construction. Rugg did not call me so I finally had to call them the following week! When they sent someone out I was home while he inspected the problem and sent pics to his boss Gary Rugg. The worker told me he had to go purchase the correct parts and would return...Never did! I had to keep calling Rugg to come out as we had no water in the house for showers or living. When they came back out I was not home so the worker went about his business. When I came home I found out he A: did not put a stop on the faucet to control the hot water, B: left a gap between the faucet and the fiberglass allowing all the water to leak behind the shower in to the wall, C: did not seal around the flange to keep in water tight and D: the valve and flange were loose on the wall so they could be easily pulled away from the fiberglass. I played phone tag with Mr. Rugg himself and he aggressively told me his worker did it right and the valve was supposed to be loose and it was not supposed to be sealed behind the flange. At my insistence he finally said he would have someone come back out and at least look at it but no one showed up. Then he said he would come out himself but he never showed up. Instead he left a voicemail saying it was finished and he would not do anything about the problem even though I sent him pictures of the faucet with no stop installed and the back plate with the gaping hole where water could come through and the loose valve. This would be a safety hazard if someone lost their balance in the shower and held on to the valve as it would have pulled right out of the wall quite easily. Law suit waiting to happen. Finally I contacted the warranty company and they sent out All Systems Heating and Air and they were awesome! They repaired what GMR Rugg Construction screwed up and made it right. The installed the stop to protect from the hot water, they secured the entire valve and flange to the wall and sealed up the back wall. All Systems did a great job. Do not use GMR!! You will be sorry.

I have a home warranty. They sent G M R out. My appointment was from 1:00-4:00 pm. At 3:57 I called to see where they were. The Plumber was still at least 30 minutes away on another ""emergency job"". Fine, I waited 3 hours for them and they did not have the courtesy to call and tell me they would be late. He was just finishing the other job and would be there in a half hour. At 5:30 pm he showed up.
He looked at my kitchen faucet. It had a missing button (Ok, it was my fault and the piece was lost and.) But the bigger issue is the faucet is stuck in the center and won't turn to the left or the right (it used to.) There is a rubber gasket sticking out of the seam. The plumber said maybe he could oil it. Also the hot position is in the center and the cold is all the way to the right facing back towards the wall. He said well, it works and is not leaking.
Now my bathroom faucet was leaking earlier. I reach under and turned it off to avoid further damage. When I turned off the water I could see the hose that ran up into the faucet was rusted through. I pulled on it and it completely fell off in my hand. Just after that I was having the bathroom painted. The plumber said since I broke it and it was detached it was not covered.
My home warranty company called and denied my claim. They did not cover the missing button and hose I tore out of the wall. That is all the plumber told them. said they have to trust the opinion of their plumbers. I get that and am not disappointing with them other than them not being willing to send another company.
I spoke with the Greg or Gary (I don't remember his name,) who seemed to be in charge at G M R. He only heard about what was reported to the home warranty. He was unwilling to send a different plumber out or listen to the real problem. He was stuck on the missing button. (I don't care about the stinking button!)
I don't know about any other aspects of what they do but I am not happy with their plumbing service. Go somewhere else.
