I have to say I've never written a review but I own a company and I know how important a good review is today... I was so impressed and satisfied with G&M's services and rates that I have been referring them to everyone.
I was in the process of selling my home and I have an old house. The buyers decided to do a hydro static test to see the condition of the pipes and my home failed. I had to have all my pipes replaced and they had to excavate under my home to do the work. After getting a few estimates and reading reviews I decided to use G&M. We had to have the work done in about 3 1/2 weeks and not only were they able to do the work for me, they got it done ahead of schedule. They also left everything back in place looking ready to sell.
I really can't say enough about how much I appreciated their professionalism and great customer service! Thanks G & M!

Eric from G & M Plumbing performed a required pressure test when we had our home's foundation repaired. G & M Plumbing came highly recommended to do the work. Eric explained the test process to me and my husband before he did the test. Afterward, he discussed the test results. Eric was very thorough and professional in all that he did. He was very helpful, courteous, and personable also. Eric represented G & M Plumbing extremely well by providing a superior customer experience. Thank you, Eric! We will continue to rely on G & M Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs. And, we will recommend them to our friends and work mates.

I'm a property Manager and called to set up an appointment for a house I manage at 9 AM Monday morning. The call taker told me they would contact my tenant and get the repair done. Well, this morning, Wednesday, I asked my Tenant if the repair had been completed and he reported that no one had contacted him, period. I called G&M and the call taker couldn't have been nicer, as they denied responsibility since they didn't work on Monday. I can't afford to let outside companies ruin my reputation to my clients, so I canceled my service request, and asked G&M just to continue to ignore my customer as I would find another plumber. Did you know there are lots of other plumbers that work in Pflugerville?

I've used G and M on several projects and they've always been honest, reliable and affordable. They also don't waste time and get the job done. Highly recommended.

G&M Plumbing (Joe Derusha) pulled a permit for a home I now own when a prior owner had a renovation done. We discovered that the permits from the remodel were left open, and when we sorted it out with the city of Austin's permit office, we were told by the city employee who managed this specific permit, "The plumber on this job quit."

Fast forward another year or so, and a pipe falls off under the slab of our home, causing a leak, and, as it turns out, because it was never properly fastened to the tub. After a day of excavating the problem area, our current plumber tells us the pipes under the bathroom need to be completely redone, because they are not to code - lots of 90º angles, pipes sloping in the wrong direction, etc. Our plumber was really curious about who the hell did such a crappy job on these pipes the last time. I looked it up for him, and, according to the permit on file with the city of Austin, it was these people.

Our current plumber maintains that if Joe Derusha took out the permit, it was on him to make sure appropriate work was done on this home, and to not walk away from work that he initiated.

I had significant repairs (replacing the cast iron drains all through my house) and these guys did a fantastic job. They were prompt, efficient and very reasonable priced. They hit some additional, unexpected work and did not charge me more. Their approach was simpler than others, saving a lot of time, money and inconvenience. I am so pleased and grateful to have found G&M - based on two recommendations from friends.

Lucy, Gus, Eric and everyone else at G&M I have come in contact with are true professionals. They are quick to respond, courteous, very service-oriented, and look for ways that their customers can get the job done most economically. I frequently use G&M for all my rental properties, and will continue to do so.

It's so hard to find a good plumber, but we did! We had a bathtub that needed new copper piping and some drain problems fixed, and G&M came out earlier than expected, gave me a quote right then and there, and was even able to do the work at that time. It was less expensive than we expected and done super quickly (and very well!). The plumber was really nice and explained everything to me, and even looked at a couple of other things I had questions about. I highly recommend them! Plus you can call the office later and pay with a credit card (airline points!), which I appreciate. Fadia, their receptionist, is also a delight.

As a previous loyal customer of G&M who has given them 5-star ratings not once by TWICE in the last 7 years, I've been unfortunately disappointed in their recent service. We suffered upstairs pipe damage as a result of the February 2021 Winter storm and like most of Central Texas, immediately called G&M to come out for repairs. We understood this would be a very busy time for all plumbers - and we waited our turn to be seen by G&M Pluming on Feb 24th. Eric came out to assess the damage to our upstairs bathroom (cracked cast iron pipe). This involved cutting several holes in the drywall to visualize the pipes - no problem. We figured we'd get an estimate within the following days and likely a wait to get on the schedule within a few weeks. It took many follow up calls and reminders, but eventually on March 8, 2021, we got an initial estimate. It didn't cover all the repairs we had discussed (such as replacing the whole cast iron line rather than patching one portion), so I immediately emailed G&M to try to clarify the estimate. After a follow up email and several phone calls in the following weeks, Sonny (who answers the phones) kindly apologized to me, but also shared that due to the sheer volume of customers after the storm, the team wasn't 100% sure they remembered my damage/repair needs accurately. Ok. No problem. I'm a loyal G&M customer and have worked with their family for years - so I'm completely sympathetic to this unusual situation. Again, weeks go by and I continually remind the team to find a time when Eric can come back out to re-assess the damage again (via the holes that are already there from the last time). This required several follow up calls and unfortunately an enormous amount of polite nagging on my part ("Hi there, its me again. Just checking to see when someone might be available to come back around..."). Eventually, May 6th, Eric returned to our home to re-reminded himself what the repair would entail. He was kind and apologetic about the delay and the lack of communication about getting on the repair schedule. He told me that he and Sonny would communicate immediately (as in, THAT DAY) about an updated estimate (two guys, 4 - 6 hours, PVC needed etc) and getting me on the schedule, sharing that they were running about 2 weeks out. No problem. I agree with all those things. One week passed. I emailed G&M to follow up (including lots of details about what Eric said was needed to schedule the repair) and left a voicemail to check in on scheduling. It is now May 18, 2021 (3 months following the Feb storm) and I'm no closer to getting back use of our upstairs bathroom. I still don't have an estimate OR a scheduled time to be seen. :(

I finally threw up my hands and called Capital City Plumbing and Drain, who responded by sending out two technicians *the following day* to assess the damage and have scheduled my repair immediately (as in, less than one week). I'm not sure where the breakdown in G&M's system is - but I gave them 3 months and a lot of grace and patience to meet my needs. I love supporting small, family owned businesses like G&M, but the customer service experience this time was just not acceptable. I'm so bummed because we have recommended them to others on countless occasions! Hopefully my experience is a fluke but my experience as a long-time customer is disappointment.

The foundation repair company, Centex, recommended G & M to me to perform what I thought would be a routine pressure test that is required after foundation repair. I also needed a faucet replaced. Lucy at G and M quoted me their standard price for the pressure test , which was lower than the price quoted by the large plumbing company with the whole-page ad in the Yellow Pages that I had been using in the past. Lucy also gave me a very low price for the faucet replacement, since they would be at the house.

It's plumbing! Combined with foundation repair! The routine pressure test turned into a 4-day job because the sewer line was broken under the house. The faucet repair was quickly finished, but the under-the-house work was extensive.

Gus, Eric, and Lucy were always pleasant, willing to explain things, and hardworking! They might not even believe I noticed, because I was so stressed out! They were great to work with, even through my gloom at finding leaks and fixing them and then finding more leaks further under the house.

One of the most outstanding aspects of G & M is Lucy, who takes care of the phone calls and billing. She was always easy to reach! She answered the phone! I called several times and reached her directly, and I think I might have reached her voicemail only once during that week, and she returned my call very quickly. Even after the job was done and I had paid, Lucy answered emails and phone calls when I had some questions about the billing. G & M helped me with an insurance claim by preparing a map of the sewer line. Lucy worked with email and pdf files. The paperwork was somewhat minimal and included a one-line disclaimer that no one could understand, written in "plumberese," I guess.

Gus and Eric and their helper, whose name I didn't get, worked long hours to get the job finished. They let me watch their tedious work with the camera. They spent a long time looking through the pipes with the camera to find that last leak - they had to close off sections of piping with their tools to form pressured areas to figure out where the leak was - way under the garage at the far end of the house. They had to break through the concrete garage floor to fix that one. They patched the concrete very nicely. Finally the house passed the pressure test!

If you have to call a plumber, I recommend G & M!
