Have a problem with a 3 zone hot water baseboard heating system where there just isn't enough heat for cold winter nights. I called them to come diagnose the system. The plumber they sent spent 10 minutes looking at the boiler. Said that the heat was set too high on the boiler, and boiler was wired incorrectly. He also looked at one zone valve and stated all three needed to be changed. Quoted me $2200, and then discounted to $2100 dollars as it would need many hours to change zone valves.

I called another plumber who confirmed one zone valve is certainly broken, but the other 2 are fine. Won't say with certainty if it was a misdiagnosis or outright inflating extra work, but either way, I would not go with them again.

The worst part is, the man came for a service call but left immediately when we declined to accept the offer. He left wires detached and covers off when he left. The minimum a plumber should do is leave things the way they were before he came. Of course, the heat couldn't be turned on with the wires detached. Had to have them placed back by someone else.

Their communication is solid and they came around the time they said they would. They also stated they would warranty the work for 1 year which is highly unusual for a plumber, so that is to their credit though who knows if they would actually honor that.

$150 + tax for the service call for anyone wondering what their current price was.

A bunch of crooks. First of all they charge $150 just to show up. My seven year old flushometer didn't shut off. A techncian arrives, looks it over, and says he has to call his boss. He knows exactly what the problem is and how to fix it but he has to call his boss? The boss says I should replace the whole flushometer - $750! Imagine. $750 every seven years for routine maintnance on a flushometer just because they don't want to bother doing a repair. More profitable for them that I should throw away a practically new item than they should repair it. After arguing with the boss on the phone he finally agrees to repair it by putting in a ""replacement kit."" $495!! After more arguing he agrees to do it for $425. But no warranty. I'm not making this up. The technician goes out for 45 minutes to get the new part. I'd expect a large reputable firm to have routine parts on the truck. Once he had the part the repair took about seven minutes; just flip out the old part and drop in the new. After it was all over I found out that the replacement kit goes for $35. Never, and I mean never, will I use them again.

They came through for me again. I wish that my mother could have had these guys install the gas boiler. They were here at the time that was promised. Also, the cost was reasonable.

Village Plumbing were the only company that returned our call when an issue came up in the recent deep freeze. Chris came right away, did his best to help get the heat on, but when the job proved to be bigger than we all thought, Tim came and scheduled us for a major repair right away! Chris and Rob were polite, hard working, and never once complained about how cold it was! They completed a major job, cleaned up after themselves so that you could hardly tell they had been there, and the price for all the work was fair!! We will definitely use them anytime we need a heating or plumbing repair!!

The only company that called me back during the recent cold snap when someone for whom I am responsible had broken pipes. They showed up and quoted a price they stuck with. Tim is very knowledgeable and honest. Chris and Rob, their techs, were polite and helpful.

The owner Marvin gauges you on price and parts . Needed a low water shut off valve and thermocouple for a Weil McLean boiler . The guy had the nerve to charge me $1000 for what took an hour . And he was rude about it - Prices of the parts at a plumbing store were $150 - the technician was nice but the owner Is arrogant and entitled . I don't mind him making a reasonable profit but what he charged was excessive . He just lost me as a customer

They are a bunch of crooks. Made a appointment to have my boiler serviced. Plumber came in flooded the boiler with water and then shut it down saying it was cracked and that I needed a new boiler which was quoted at 7000. Needless to say, I had sense enough to call for a second opinion. Two parts were changed which cost me 1100. They are a bunch if thieves, don't use them

Contacted them when my pilot light was out. Mark came over, attempted to start the pilot multiple times, diagnosed that the valve that keeps the pilot on needed to be repaired. He also cleaned out the dust that built up in the furnace. The next day once I had my heat on, my radiators started leaking, the company sent Mark back and he drained the furnace and checked the valves, water feeder and other parts to make sure they were in good working order. Did not charge me. Their fee is $125 to come out, which gets applied to the job if you have work done.

Came out 2 times and asked basically asked what I thought the problem was, even though I am not an expert. Overall their goal was to spend as least time as possible at the site to make the most money.. 2nd guy who came out was ""an expert"" but did nothing but spend half his time talking down to me because I was ""not smart enough to understand a boiler."" (Steam heat is over 100 years old) After 20 mins of hubris, he decided there was nothing he could do. After talking to someone who knew less, he then decided to actually look at the boiler and then realized that there were problems. I am a tech myself who builds and fixes computers. If you make a housecall, the least you can do with a $125 min appearance fee is look at the device and run diagnostics on all parts. Of course they charged us the full price both times, even though the first tech didn't bother to check out the parts. Save your time and patience and choose a company that at least knows the ""definition"" of professionalism.
