GF Bowman trains their service techs to be courteous,, friendly and knowledgeable. I have my HVAC system checked bi-annually. They make recommendations to keep the system running efficiently and long lasting. The techs take the time to discuss everything in detail and all costs involved, if a specific type of service is recommended. I like to support the family-owned business. It is nice to know the Owner by name.

I'd give negative stars here, if possible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are rip off artists. Wanted to charge my parents $2700 to install 2 toilets!! WTF?? That's like $1000/hour labor! Gee, wonder why they won't itemize? They are basically in the business of ripping off lovely old people. What a great business model. If there's a hell - you're going.

After more than 20 years with service contracts with G. F. Bowman, We finally felt it was time to make a change. During the last service technicians visit, he approached me in my living room and told me we had an emergency. He advised that our water heater was rusted through and the gas burner used to heat water was unable to keep firing when turned on. He wanted to install a new water heater either the same afternoon, or the next morning. I told him I would be in touch shortly. I called another company, they sent a man out the next day, and he couldn't find any signs of water leaking. As to the burner failing to run, the new technician ran hot water into the utility sink in the adjoining laundry, and the burner came on and heated the new fresh water. It's sad that what was a once reputable company would resort to high pressure tactics to sell and install equipment that was not needed.

I have used their services in the past and the work was satisfactory. However, they must have a lot of admin and overhead. They are not competitive on pricing (new or existing customers). When I called around for simple service, I found Harrisburg competitors were 35-50% cheaper. How disappointing.

Let me start by saying watch out for this company!!! Have them service my home and rental property and ending up putting two brand new units... They are Sabotaging to make sure they can sell you new units at Bentley cost! If any of you using them you need a big Good Luck!!!!!!

I have not had the same experience that most have had on here. Maybe everyone is just angry that they must pay to have a broken item fixed. But, personally, I had prompt replies to my request for service, quick response to me being out of heat, and a very professional technician, who was also training a young man ( I suppose ). Although the price was more than I was expecting to pay (due to more than one thing being wrong) I am satisfied with the entire experience.

Don't do business with G.F. Bowman....we have a less than 3 year old furnace that they installed and we are on day 3 of no heat. They did send someone out on Friday night but they didn't have the part and said they would have to come back on Monday (today). They are now saying it will be a couple more days....the receptionist is rude and the manager has still not returned our call from this morning.

I purchase a heating and AC service contract, which was in line with other HVAC companies. I was very pleased with service. While he was at my house I ask to give me a price to install a new kitchen faucet (which I already had) and to install 3 new turn off valves under the kitchen sink. He gave me a price of around $725. I contacted a licensed plumber, who helped renovate our master bathroom and he did it for $244 using copper fittings. G.F. Bowman cost was 3 times what I paid. What is wrong with this picture? Moral to the story is get a second estimate when G.F. Bowman gives you a price. Over priced, very disappointed
