OMG ! I don't know how they r still operating. They are a complete fraud. I am going to file a police complaint against them for fraud . They charged my credit card twice and never did the job.

Bad review because they were not available twice when they said they would provide service. Should be called Drain WRONG. Found their ad in Penny Saver. Apparently their Norco division services East county S.D. When they were supposed to give an estimate, they called and said they were running 2 hours late. Turned out they arrived 4 hours past the original time. The techs were polite and seemed competent. Since they gave a low bid, we scheduled to have the hot water heater replaced two days later for an 8:00 a.m. appointment. Two hours later, got a call that they are running late and would be at my home in 1 hour. NO show. I called the dispatcher who said the tech had ""a family emergency"" and they could not do the work that day. She said he had been told to call the customer to cancel the job that day but he did not. This was on Saturday and they could not send anyone to do the job till Monday. Now we have been living with cold water for several days and showering at the gym is getting old. Ironically, I arranged for a hot water heater to be installed by another company after realizing Drain Rite was not coming through. One hour after scheduling with the other company, that dispatcher said their truck broke down. Are most plumbing companies FLAKES? Do the women who field their calls all have to lie for them?

These guys are a rip off . I called and they gave me a price of $49.00 to clean out my bathroom sink it was draining slowly . So I made appointment and they said they would be out between 2:00 and 4:00 about 1:00 the driver called and his name was Sean and he said he was 20 minutes away I told him his office quoted $49.00 he said no it would be $125.00 be cause there was no clean out near my bathroom sink. I said okay that I just need it done. Well Sean spent 5 minutes and unscrewed the trap below the sink and grabbed a ball of hair and he was done . I asked him if I was getting discount because he didn't have to run snake threw the drain and he said no that was the price I told you on the phone. So I wrote the check and away Sean went he was so rude . I'm a senior citizen and there add in Pennysaver says senior discounts . Sean said that was senior discount . I called the office to complain about the price and that he didn't even use the tool to unclog the drain. The lady put me on hold and came back 5 minutes later and said that's the price so I started to complain and she hung up the phone on me . This company is terrible from the office to the employee . Please never use this company again. If I could give no stars I would!!!

WHY! WHY! WHY! did I not come on Yelp and read the reviews before I had this ""rip-off"" plumber come to my home. I found their ad in the PennySaver. Their ad says: Plumbing Services $49..ABSOLUTELY NO HIDDEN COSTS (yeah right)..any sewer, drain and shower stoppages..senior discount ""gratefully given"". NONE of this happened today. I was told they had to charge me $97.50 because my tub drain was not easy access. I said: fine, I want a senior discount for my mom. He said, let me call the office because I've never heard of that and comes back and says the office said no because it was a hard fix and I broke my vacuum on your tub. I said, here's your money but I will NEVER call you again..you will NEVER hear my mouth say call Drain Rite Plumbing when someone asks for a good plumber..I told him that was sad because companies rely on word of mouth from satisfied customers..and shame on you for false advertisement just to get your foot in my door. The guy said, sorry, I just work here and takes the check and walks out my door. DO NOT let this company come anywhere near your home. Find someone who's honest!!

One star is only cause I have to. It was the worst experience ever. They came in to fix a leak under the slab. They actually couldnt find the leak so they rerouted the lines. They left and we fixed all 12 holes with dry wall and paint and all the clean up from the huge mess they made. Including them accidentley cutting into our cold water line and ruining a fan and knocking pic frames off the walls and breaking them. Then we find out there is no water going to the upstairs bathroom. So after 4 months of telling them they made a mistake and need to fix it, and a ton more money with other plumbers coming out because they swore they made no mistakes. They came back out and sure enough they cut a wrong line and had to rip in our walls again and 12 more holes later they found their mistake, fixed it, and left us to repair our home all over again. They sued us cause we didnt put the claim into insurance and i told them i wouldnt until our shower worked. Then we gave them their money and counter sued for all the damage after their mistake. We won. Now they are trying to appeal the win are you serious. You made a mistake and you ripped us off. Worse company ever. Dont hire them im warning you now!! The only people who left great reviews must be people they know. There is NO way they would have a good review. They r crooks. Run away dont call them and call someone who will take a job that they can actually do. These people have no idea what they are doing!

Plumbers did not finish the work by removing all damaged pipes left some behind with holes in them to still leak. I had to hire a different plumber to finish the job.
Overcharged by three to four times all aspects of the bill. Spoke to Oliver Curtis who said I was just the homeowner. The bill would be paid in full by Farmers Insurance why do I care how much they charge. Charges have nothing to do with me. No one cares. I was wasting my time he would charge what he wants period there is no disputing the bill. I was wasting my time. Why don't I just go and do something productive.

besides being rude a lot, in my house they left a lot a mess. residue paint on the front lawn, crawl space entrances left opened and full of debris. worker walk on my new hardwood flooring leaving scuffs and smeared paint all on the leaving room.

they went ahead and painted my bathroom a nasty two tone with out my consent, go figure! the same worker cracked the vanity mirror and was not even acknowledged lil'old replaced.

last but not least. once you sign their contract drain rite will divorce you!

and just like sandy h. (another reviewer) stated john opiates owner) is a smart simon that will collect monies but deliver a mixture of bad workmanship, filth and an aggravated experience.

Anyone who says anything positive about John Optiz of Drain Rite Plumbing is ABSOLUTELY being paid to do so because this man is the most unprofessional, rude, arrogant person I have ever spoken to! DO NOT RISK DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN NO MATTER WHAT HIS COMPANY PROMISES! He is able to treat people - his customers he seems to forget - in the rude, unprofessional manner he does because he gets by with it! I cannot believe this man is still in business after all the awful reviews I have read all over the internet! It is a sad shame that this man can scheme and collect money from insurance companies and hard working people, customers like me, and get by with it. It makes my blood boil just to think of his company getting any business whatsoever from the public! After a flood and needed repairs and remodeling back in February, my house just got 99% completed and that was because I had to use my own professional painter/contractor to repair the work John's sub-standard sub-contractors did. The workmanship was less than poor! John rakes in the insurance money and pays sub-contractors (one of whose license was expired!!) per day to do the work. They are inexperienced, unprofessional, unskilled contractors. I read all these reviews and see such a blatent pattern - quick to get you to sign all responsibility for repairs to his company and then you are stuck!!! He double bills, double talks, and only returns you call to threaten you for money! He called me to say, ""Where's my money? You owe me-are you home-I'm sending someone over..."" etc. I begged this man to just once in 3 months come by to see the work his sub-contractors did and he absolutely refused! In our last conversation he threatened to"" ruin my credit, make my life miserable, take me to court."" I told him I'd pay him what was left after I paid my contractor to repair his sub-contractor's work and he said he'd take me to court ""I do this everyday, all the time"" - those were his exact words. I was served papers to go to Small Claims Court the next day and can't wait to have my day in court with this man. Honestly, be ready, his company is close to the courthouse and I'm sure he has the forms on-line, quick access, and will try to make your life miserable. Of course he does this everyday - he is an incompetent contractor so he has to! I do not want my insurance company or anyone else to pay for this man and his company's below standard services. He needs to be put out of business by ""customers"" like me and all the others who wrote reviews. He uses different versions of his company and his name and city so he gets away with all of this and someone needs to stop him! DO NOT RISK DOING BUSNIESS WITH THIS MAN AND HIS COMPANY! There are lots of others to choose from - check their reviews - no one has such negative reviews as this man and his company!!!!!

I had a slab leak. They responded to my call in a very appropriate manner. They were able to diagnose the problem and come back the next day to fix it. They made me sign a lot of paperwork, thus, claiming that my homeowners insurance would pick up the bill. My adjustor came out on the day they started the service and on the day they completed services to access all the damage and repairs needed. He then, advised the plumber and myself that it will take 10-14 business days for review before a decision is made by insurance company. We are now in the 15th calendar day (not business days) and they have not stopped billing me nor calling my husband on a daily basis, demanding payment, when in deed my insurance adjustor was in contact with them regarding their statement and some discrepancies on their bill for overstretched or double billed charges., which they agreed to correct and re bill and have not. To sum it up; they did indeed respond to my emergency and fix the problem.....however, they did not complete the work in an acceptable matter. They did fix the leak and did a good Job rerouting the pipes., however, they didn't take into consideration my household's safety by masking the room where they were removing the water damaged wood floors. They didn't mask the room, furniture, etc,. Thus causing a lot of dust to transport to all the rooms. I suffer from asthma, and as much as we've tried to clean up the mess they've made and didn't clean up, it's been almost impossible, and has caused me a lot of breathing problems. Yes, they are fast on answering your calls and yes they fixed the leak problem, but they are messy and sloppy. My house is full of dust due to the non-masking procedure they used. They constantly harass you for payment, and threw all the wet, molded wood into my back yard without properly disposing of it, which they indeed included in their bill. I would think twice about using this company., they fix the immediate problem, but don't follow thru on the work, thus causing other problems to arise....I now have soaked wood in my back yard, causing rats to go underneath for shelter and suffering of upper respiratory infections.

Unprofessional and rude. Pulled workers off job, didn't show up for appointments and tried to pressure us into using him for restoration work. When we canceled job due to Johns lack of professionalism he sent a bill for writing estimate. ( advertises free estimate on web). I sent check for plumbing repair and he returned check and Filed lien on my house. Time to hire Attorney.
