These folks are part of PayLessForOil.com. They claim to have great customer service, but once something goes wrong, they point the finger at the customer.

A week ago, Paylessforoil.com made a delivery at my house and damaged the hose bib which is located right next to my oil fill pipe. This caused water to gush from the broken pipe outside my house and flow down into my basement, causing a pretty significant flood with ankle deep water in parts of the basement. We have tons of things that were damaged by the water and Lisa has been cleaning stuff out of the basement since so we can throw it away. Hopefully our washer and dryer are ok as it's hard to tell if anything was wet and may cause issues down the road.

I've been trying to work with them for a week, but have had little success in talking to anyone other than the receptionist and office manager. I keep being told that the photos and video we sent (of the driver's hose getting snagged on something and then he pulls on it) were forwarded to ""management"" but whomever they are cannot be bother to call me, I guess.

We've been a customer of Paylessforoil.com for 13 years and this is how they are treating us. Only after threatening a small claims suit did the president of the company get back to me. Sent an email, couldn't be bother to call. He essentially told me to pound sand and terminated our account.

All of this could have likely been resolved with a simple phone call.

I needed to get my oil tank in the basement, from being an outside tank. Fuels services came out and explained my options and provided a very competitive price.

We scheduled a date for the install and the entire job was completed in about half the time I was anticipating. The workers were polite and clean. They made sure to answer my questions before leaving as well. I am Project Manager for a construction company and I deal with a LOT of different trades. I would highly recommend Fuel Services for whatever you need, from fuel delivery to an oil tank installation.

Fuel services and pay less for oil are the same exact thing. I know this for a fact as someone close to me used to work for them. They have their prices listed online $2.44 for Payless, $2.69 for fuel services and just charged me $2.79. Also, when I called them to order oil they answered ""ssi oil"". Why change your name so many times if you run a good legitimate company?

New customers, beware. When this company schedules to meet you at your home to determine your special needs, they will give you a date (""approximately"" a MONTH after you call.) and a time (usually a two hour window, 10:00-12:00). But according to Peter, their propane manager, the time is only ""approximate"". They may show up an hour or more early or an hour or more late. So plan on wasting your entire day, because you'll never know when they will actually show up. Oh, and then of course it's your fault for not being there when they show up, but they'll call to reschedule (next month?). They must be very busy, because they made no effort to accommodate me as a new customer. This was my experience.

I personally fixed via (You Tube) what there tech screwed up!!! my fee $0 there fee $600!!! Will never call them again FYI they run under the ""Pay Less For Oil umbrella"". I will also be looking for a new Oil Provider!!!

So now a couple years after install the heat pump is not working and the AC at the end of this was working poor. Had someone else come look at it and they found the refrigerant is leaking. The tech stated the refrigerant should never leak, especially a couple seasons after install. Called fuel services to see if they would like to come fix the problem. Nope out of warranty. They can't even install they system properly and stand behind that. Please save yourself aggravation and find someone else.

We scheduled an estimate to convert our home from oil to natural gas. The appointment was scheduled on 8/10. They had a long lead time, so our appointment was not until 9/5. So on the morning of 9/4 I called to confirm, which they did. Then at about 4pm that day they called and left me a voicemail saying they needed to cancel indefinitely because they are now no longer doing oil to gas conversions.

I now am set back about 3 weeks since that was how long I had to wait for this appointment to come.

Awful, awful, awful, AWFUL. I give high marks for the technicians/servicemen but that's it. It is a miserable outfit to try and do business with. The one and only reason I have is because I'm a tenant and the property owner uses them.
They are rude, they are pushy--their phone calls are unrelenting and the scads of paperwork sent, ridiculous--they are disorganized, and, at best, EVERYTHING is on their terms; customer be damned. Their so-called office manager? If you really want to be talked over and bossed around, to each his own! And they are certainly not the cheapest as they like to boast. Their current rate is $2.24 and the first/only other company I contacted was at $2.20)
With plenty of other choices here in the Valley, most of them far more established, I say avoid them like the plague.

I agree with all of what Jack B from Wilbraham, MA says.
We have been customers for a while and called with an emergency repair for plumbing. Pretty sure they did NOT want to do the work. The last plumbing job that was done was terrible but thought we would try again. They said no one was available until Friday....we called on Monday.
They also installed our heating system. Messy and unclean work. Sharp areas around the system.
Find someone else. Overpriced also. Workers smoke and stink up your house too.
