In 2011 Frymire sold and installed at our home a Trane cooling and heating air system. At the same time we signed an annual maintenance agreement that includes twice-a-year inspections by Frymire. During the last few years, we witness repeated increased efforts by Frymire's technicians to talk us into purchasing additional services or upgrades to the system. These became the norm, there was no service call when we were not recommended to do this or that upgrade to the system. On one of these occasions, Frymire recommended we install a surge protector between the main power supply of the house and the unit to improve the protection of the unit and we agreed and spent the additional money for it.
In late April 2023, our system stopped working and the breaker protecting the system kept jumping. We called Frymire for an inspection. Their technician checked and informed us that the unit compressor has died and it needs replacement. He provided a quote of $6,622 that included the cost of a new compressor, the freon replacement, and the disposal of the old freon.
Shocked by such bad news and because the unit has only 11 years while it is rated for 15 to 20 years of life we decided to get a second opinion. The next day we called a different company (Service One Air). Their technician checked the system and found out that the surge protector and its switch has been burned and that was the reason the breaker was jumping. He replaced the switch and the system is now working perfectly. The whole repair was less than $200.
Obviously, we were disappointed with Frymire and their technician's efforts to sell us a $6,600 unnecessary repair.
There are no two way to explain what happened here: either Frymire is using technicians that are clueless or Frymire are trying to cheat their clients by selling them unnecessary repairs

Before you take someone's money to install an outdoor tankless water heater you need to tell them that it won't work in winter when it freezes and there is nothing Frymire can do. If Frymire had been honest about that up front I wouldn't have bought 2 outdoor mounted tankless water heaters for nearly $12,000. Telling me after the fact and throwing your hands up in the air once you have my money isn't a great great way of doing busines.

I left a message on the phone number that was on my receipt as well as sent them an email to a general email account. That's on their website to ask them to call me back about service that they provided at my residence. A month later I still haven't heard anything.

I spent close to $11k for 2 tankless water heaters that had to be installed on my outside wall of my home. Everything seemed fine until our first freeze and both units froze up even though I kept water running in the house to keep pipes from freezing. The exhaust pipe froze up causing the unit to shut down. When I called I was given the run around until some sweet lady called and said if they freeze its your problem. Wow, gave me a warm fuzzy about this company. DO NOT BUY A TANKLESS WATER HEATER FROM THIS COMPANY!

Angel came out to replace our hot water heater and was on time, professional and did a good job. He also took time to talk us thru everything that was done and why and very polite and helpful. Costs and time it would take was explained up front before starting to work.

Epilogue:
Shortly after receiving the fine, the new manager called me and apologized . They followed up with an offer to refund some of the cost. I offered to add that to my review and thank them for it online . But when I insisted that I would not take down the original review, I never heard from them again.

This is not just a company that delivers bad service, this is a company that will eventually defraud you. Two techs came to my house and told me that I needed to replace my entire furnace and AC. I was suspicious especially since they serviced my AC only a few months prior and nothing was wrong then. They also said that it needed replaced right away as it was winter and they didn't think the furnace would last 2 months. They then had their salesman Chris come give me a bid to replace both. His bid was over $9000 and he told me I didn't even need to look elsewhere because no one that could beat his price. I got bids from other companies for under $5000. I also paid $85 for a second opinion from another company and was told that there was nothing wrong with my furnace or my AC and neither needed replaced. Frymeier not only didn't service my furnace they used the opportunity to tell me I has to replace everything and then sent their sales guy who gave me a bid almost double what anyone else would have charged. Stay away from these guys they will lie to your face and cheat you out of thousands of dollars if you let them.

BEWARE!!! DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!!!
The new company that bought Frymire Home Services is a SCAM. The first time they came out, they told me I needed a new $1000 thermostat. I stupidly bought it. The second time I called them for service, they told me the part was under warranty but then turned around and charged me almost $2000 in labor.... EXCEPT... they didn't tell me that was the labor cost. Their invoice is worded as such as that the word "labor" isn't even listed but the words "in warranty" are so that they get you to sign off on the work. VERY VERY VERY SNEAKY and DECEPTIVE!!!!!! I received this invoice OVER A YEAR LATER. When I called about it, they told me they had been emailing me invoices. Hmm... why wouldn't you just put that in the mail? They told me I should have been checking my spam folder for the invoice. I'm sorry - who is looking for an invoice for work that was claimed to be under warranty?? Their "accounting manager" KUDA is a bully. BEWARE!!! CALL ANYONE ELSE TO HELP YOU.... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This company sent out several people over the course of a few years, and they always found different issues with my HVAC, but NEVER the same issues! So it would cost me over $1k for what these people said needed to be done. One guy even told me my outside AC unit would probably not last through the summer, and that was two summers and a winter ago. They kept pushing the $15/mo. 'maintenance program'.

They were nice enough and did the work I paid them to do, but I certainly don't trust them.

I had a local crew out here from a different company and they installed my UV light + cleaned and removed mold from the inside of my HVAC unit all for under $400.

Not a good company. They cancelled the appointment. They never rescheduled it. I called them back they put me at the end of the queue more than a month in future. Then appointment date, I called to see if they were coming. They said the original price is not valid anymore it is $30 more today. They don't honor their word. This tells you about the company!
