I started as a pipefitter's trainee in the mid-80s while in secondary school. After I finished school, I moved to the Last Frontier to connect with family and to initiate my apprenticeship. I spent five years developing my trade. I returned and worked a maintenance firm, learning the expectations of business owners and property owners.
