I had an emergency leak coming through the sheet rock, garage ceiling. I discovered the problem upon returning home at approximately 12:15 pm. I found Freindly Plumbing on the internet. Their add indicated they were available 24/7, had an excellent rating & a long business history.

I called & was dealt with in a courteous & professional manner. I was scheduled for an appointment for 2-4 pm. The plumber assigned to respond arrived a few minutes after 2. He quickly determined the source of the leak & completed the repair by 3:20!!. The required repair was fully explained & I was given a charge for the service that was fair. I am very satisfied & highly recommend Friendly Plumbing.

This has been the most unprofessional and most unreliable plumbing service we have used . They wasted days of our time promising to send a tech to install our water heater but no one turned up every day was the same . The owner called and promised us after the second day of no one turning up but then next morning again no one turned up . The whole day they kept promising a tech would come . They gave us time windows and then they kept telling us their tech was stuck in traffic . But no one turned up for 3 days . It was a harrowing time for us . We don't want anyone to go through with what we had to endure . Extremely disappointed

I was remodeling my shower/tub. I had my own hardware so online it says $200.00 for instal if you have your own. I booked it, Barrett came out. I explained that I needed everything done to install the new one except for the knobs as they would be in the way to install new walls. I should have known something was ""amiss"" when he joked about me paying $375.00. I told him no, its 200 if I have my own hardware(says it on the website). I did the remodel and when I put the screws in the knobs it did not work like he said it would. The hot just ran water when I triied to screw it in. And the cold water that he screwed in to show me how was very loose even when tightened. I stopped before I did something wrong. I messaged, no answer, I called and the person told me they would charge me more and Barrett would call with the estimate. No call. Had to hire another plumber to come out and fix it. In the end, Barrett put the hot knob on the cold stem and the stem in the hot was broken inside. Now, I labeled the knob he installed so I know I did not switch them. Still no call, no nothing. They should refund my money.

We were looking to have a washing machine pan installed with the drain and Friendly plumbing came out, gave us a quote and was able to get the work done that day. The price was reasonable (had received 2 other quotes) and the service provided by the tech was friendly and helpful. The technician made sure we were all set before he left, including getting the washing machine into the pan and connected.

Needed them to check a frozen garbage disposal. Scheduler gave no indication of the possible cost but politely gave us a window between 9 and 11am for when the crew would come. They showed up at 2pm, spent less than 30 minutes snaking the drain and charged $650. When I balked, he dropped it to $550. I felt I had no real recourse, so I paid. I will NOT be using them in the future, though. Other than the initial phone call, the entire vibe of this company was unprofessional.

Update: So I decided to call to ask about this. My first question was how much they'd charge to snake a kitchen drain. He said probably around $250. When I told him how much I was actually charged, he literally stammered and hung up the phone. I don't know if this company is legit and just wildly unprofessional, or if it's a scam and I got taken. Either way DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Alex was super helpful and honest. He came out and determined I didn't need anything done when I was concerned my sewage hole cover had sunk into the ground. Will definitely use them in the future. Very happy with their help and honesty.

I have water leaking from upstairs. Alex came on time, friendly and correctly diagnosed the problem. It turned out to be not related to the water pipe but due to water leaking from the shower to outside area and drips downstairs. Alex did many testings, back & forth, spending in total 1.5h on the diagnosis.

He charged me $350 for the diagnosis which I think is too high considering he refused to seal my shower door to stop water from leaking in the first place but instead wanted to refer his friend. I feel this should be covered under his works as they list Bathtub & Shower repair as one of the services and from what I see is a relatively minor sealing job that would temporarily stop the problem.

Also the price was not communicated in advance. He came as part of my scheduling for a ""Free Estimate"" as per their website. I didn't expect the work to be free (as he did spend 1.5h) but $350 just for the diagnosis is too high and when he left me with some small tasks (under their area) that I either have to do myself or hire another person again.

Overall I'm happy that he was able to diagnose the problem without having to remove big part of the ceiling or walls. But taking stars for the price and the reluctance to do the necessary fix.

My hot water heater gave out . I knew it would at some point that day came Saturday . Friendly service was able to come out and change my water heater the same day . They sent their team member Alex . He came with a hot water heater a bit bigger than the one I had . He was able to make it fit with some pieces of wood I had for a different project. All good hot water back on !! They forgot the foam wrappers and even came back to ensure I received them to wrap around the piping ! Nice job

Our drain picked the perfect time to get clogged (on Christmas day!).
Flushing the toilet was causing the water to back up into the bath tub.
Reached out to Ahmad and he responded quickly with availability on the same day.
Silverio from Friendly Plumbing showed up quickly within the next 2 hours. He drove all the way from Hayward to San Jose (~35 miles).
As soon as he arrived, he assessed the situation and gave us a quote which sounded reasonable.
Our house did not have the sewer cleanout accessible, so he had to remove the toilet and use the snake to try and unclog the drain.
When even that didnt work, he suggested using the hydro jet from the roof vent.
That finally did the trick.
He then made sure to verify the fix by passing the camera into the vent.
He was very professional and didnt take any shortcuts.
Highly recommend this business. Especially in case of emergencies.
