EBMUD came out to investigate a leak on my water main at my request. Turns out it's on my side of the meter and is up to me to get fixed. Th EBMUD tech says he'd consider this an emergency repair and to get it done that day. I bid the job out with multiple companies via Yelp, and these folks were the second company on scene - but the last company that I called to come out and provide a quote, so they actually responded the quickest! The first company wanted $350 just to dig a small hole (5 minutes) to see what kind of pipe it was under the grass so they could give me an accurate bid - and thought the repair would be $950 or more - I told them to get lost. Friendly plumbing came out and quoted me $450-650 depending on the type of pipe, but capped it at $650. Once he discovered the type of pipe, we settled at $500. He fixed the issue (from his arrival to departure) in less than 1 hr and 20 minutes, so I wouldn't say it was cheap given the material costs were likely just a few bucks - but I really can't complain given it was emergency service, he stayed within the agreed upon upfront rate and implemented what appears to be an acceptable fix.

Assuming there are no issues with the repair (I'll update this review if a problem arises) - I'd absolutely recommend them, and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

$1500 estimate to replace a shower valve. Much higher estimate than the others I got. I wonder if this is because I'm a single woman and they were trying to take advantage of me. Did not hire, can't vouch for the work.

On Saturday, July 30th the unthinkable happened at my home both of my toilets clogged and was backing up into my shower and tub. I initially called the wrong plumbing company that took an already stressful moment in the life of my family and made it worse. But like the Prodigal son the the Bible when I came to myself I called Friendly Plumbing who had done work at my home before. They should have been my first call, their technicians came out and assessed my issue and immediately went to work to resolve my issue. The communicated with me through the whole process. There was no pressure from them trying to get me add on a service or purchase anything beyond what they were focusing in on. What they stated the charge was going to be is exactly what it was. I don't know what I was thinking not to have called them first, I will not make that mistake again in the future.

The plumber was very good; super friendly and explained everything thoroughly. Communication about the appointment times was very good; they were a bit late - which happens, this is the Bay Area after all - but communicated so well about it. I really appreciate that.

Our main water line was busted by an improperly parked truck.

Friendly Plumbing and their crew were the fastest to respond, the fastest to get us a quote and the most available of the three companies we contacted.

Stupidly, we delayed retaining them while we got other opinions. But each plumber diagnosed the same issue. The difference? All of them came in at a higher overall quote.

After three days without water, they have rescued us. They have been here all day and when they were unable to make the initial repair, the arrived early the next day to complete the job.

Alberto is fantastic: communicative, easy going, hard-working. His assistant was just as good. It was a lot of work, digging a 250 foot trench up hill.

I can't recommend them enough. We will always use them going forward.

I've used the Friendly Plumbing Team twice so far. Both times, I called dispatch and Paul came by in no time. He worked on my plumbing issues incredibly fast and debriefed + gave me some advice afterwards. As their name implies, they really are friendly and I will be using them as my preferred plumbing team :)

Albert Lopez and his partner were great. Very friendly, great work ethic, and even better customer service. Came in and got straight to work while letting me know exactly what was going on with my clogged drain.
