James G. Frew Sr. trained with J.M. Kissock & Son, based in Bellevue, PA. Mr. Kissock received his license on March 31, 1898, from the Plumbing Examining Board of Allegheny City, PA. After meeting the required standards, James G. Frew became a Practical Plumber. He continued to work alongside Mr. Kissock. My grandfather purchased the plumbing business from Mr. Kissock in 1925, renaming it Frew. He kept the business running at the Kissock address.

In 1953, James G. Frew Jr. joined the family business and acquired his uncle's plumbing company, Taylor Plumbing. With four uncles on his mother's side, three were in the plumbing trade. He operated his business on Gorard Avenue from 1953 to 1960 before relocating to 546 California Avenue.

In 1969, I began my training under my father, James M. Frew. By 1974, I obtained both my PA State and County Journeyman's licenses. I secured my Master Plumber License in 1975. In 1989, I became the owner of the business.
