I called Freedom to help repair my boiler. They were unable to fix the problem but I appreciated the following: 1.) They were knowledgeable about my issue and could discuss over the phone before sending a technician. 2) They were accessible. When I initially called to discuss my problem, the service rep couldn't answer all my questions. She took my number and called be back within 15 minutes with more info. 3) When it they ultimately determined they couldn't fix my problem, they gave me a viable recommendation so I didn't have to start my process all over again. They didn't fix my problem but I really appreciated the good customer service. That's half the battle in most instances.

We recently bought a new home and have used tons of contractors and service companies for a variety of things. This company is by far the WORST. They take their name ""freedom"" a bit too far and decide they have the freedom to be bad to their customers. They refused to commit to a service time or even a range of time. Their competitors all would. We called at 8:30am and 11:30am and again at 3:30pm. They could never give us any better information. Meanwhile we are sitting in the cold, missing work and risking freezing pipes. Would be fine if they were cheaper but they're not. Actually it still wouldn't be fine. Finally at 3:30, they tell us we are next! Thank god! Only by 5:15 nobody showed up! Miraculously ... when we call to complain and cancel and threaten their reputation ... truly miraculously ... not one, but TWO techs became immediately available. Too little too late. We will never attempt to use them again nor should anyone else! Find another HVAC service company ... I have to imagine any are better than Freedom!

When I attempted to turn my furnace on in October my furnace did not respond. Yikes! Willie came out on 10.27.16 and quickly determined that my furnace's electrical panel was faulty. He tracked down a replacement, headed out to pick it up immediately and returned to install it. I so appreciated that Willie understood I was on a 'deadline' (my parents were visiting the next day- plus I could not take more time off of work for the repair). Since then the furnace has worked like a dream!

Willie is the man! He was very knowledgable and took the time to teach me about my furnace. I asked a bunch of questions and he explained everything very thoroughly. I will definitely call these guys once a year to have them come by for preventative maintenance. The charge for coming by is very reasonable and he didnt try to upcharge me for anything else. Thanks Willie!

After one week of malfunctioning The AC system in my house stopped working.. I spent a while doing research and after reading multiple optimal reviews and asking advices from friends I decided to contact freedom; I couldn't have made a better decision.

They came to my house 30 min after the call, the workers realized what the problem was and fixed it in matter of hours.

The service was fast, the workers were really polite and respectful and the price was just great!!

I also applied for a plan where they send me a message every time my AC needs a filter change or other sorts of maintenance.

Great service!! Congratulation for the professionalism of this company!

It's the hottest week of the year in Chicago, so of course the A/C decided to go out. I called three different companies for quotes, including Freedom (which had strong reviews on Angie's List). Freedom not only provided a great quote, but also went above and beyond in trying to troubleshoot the unit to avoid having to install a new A/C system. Pete came out and while he simply could have given me a quote (since I am assuming there is way more money to be made in a new A/C installation versus a simple repair), he instead took time to inspect the A/C system looking for other potential issues. He even sent out someone on his team to service the unit. Unfortunately, the unit could not be fixed, but it was comforting to have peace of mind that this was an absolutely necessary investment. Freedom was honest and straight forward, both qualities that go a long way in my book.

A/c went out 5/20/16 called freedom cause they did our furnace. They came the next day looked at everything the guy talked way to much. Had different prices for the recharge first price was $700. Then he found out price from his boss to do the new unit would be $2400 to replace with a 1 1/2 ton dry. Then he changed the price to $1100 for the recharge very shady and we also knew my father in law just had a 3 ton unit replaced for $1800 wtf. Then they charged us $100 labor to look at it $70 to just come out. Called the place my father in law used and they came out and recharged it for $280 b/s. We will never use or recommend Freedom ever very shady and over priced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good annual Furnace service. Willy came over this morning. He called 30 - 45 minutes before he came over. He explained what he was going to do during the service. The entire process took around 35 minutes. He was very pleasant and cordial. Willy informed me that my unit was around 18 years and that I should look into getting it serviced each year and also consider getting a quote for a new furnace in a few years.

Overall I am happy with the service performed.

Called Freedom H&C to inspect my furnace after a pressure switch kept kicking off. Sean was the tech that came out to our home. He was super friendly and was very thorough in checking everything to find the root cause, even giving me great tips for how to reset the switch if it kicks out again and maintenance tips for general furnace/AC care. He was able to diagnose the problem and change out a sensor, and the unit is as good as new. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and I would highly recommend them! Only downside is the cost for the tiny sensor seemed high, but he had it on hand and was able to replace it right away and it wasn't something I was going to tackle on my own, so I guess you pay for convenience & service and I'm guessing that's pretty typical in any type of service industry like this. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend them!
