We started our week of vacation with a leaking drain pipe under our kitchen sink. We have never hired a professional plumber before, so we opened up the yellow pages and started thumbing through for a plumber to hire. We called Freed Plumbing and was told that someone would be out later that day. Mike came and gave us the estimate and we decided to hire them to work on it for us. Mike said that he would be here Wednesday at 9 to start and he would be able to come back to hook up the water on Friday. We had to replace the cabinets that were waiting in the basement to do that wall and a new sink. It was definately a bad drain pipe, so Mike worked with us to get the drain in the basement built and new pipes for the supply. We had to go purchase a new sink and get it mounted to a new countertop so we could get the water hooked. He would be back on Friday afternoon to finish hooking up the new sink and drain. He came back and we were called prior to him just showing up. This company is one that we will recommend to all our friends and neighbors.

I have never been dissatisfied with their work but their communication skills are severely lacking. I understand the ""arrival window"" but I would expect a call at the halfway point of a three-hour window giving a status update. This did not happen and when I called to voice such, a rude female hung up on me. Time to put her out to pasture...

I'm very pleased with the service I had completed from Freed Plumbing. We had a defective well tank that they diagnosed quickly and replaced promptly at a reasonable price. John Freed and employees Stu and Brian did an excellent job. This was at my mom's home and she is getting forgetful, and both Stu and Brian who worked on the job were very patient with her. Thanks guys.

I had an encounter with one of their workers in a parking lot who almost backed into me so I honked at him to let him know I was there and so he wouldn't hit me. He then waited by his van till I got out and hassled me because I honked at him and took his spot. He was rude and disrespectful all because I didn't want him to hit my car. If this says anything about how he treats his customers I would stay away from them!!!!!

If I could give this company 0 stars I would! I originally called and asked for a quote and to set up a time to work....easy they jumped at the opportunity. WELLLLL
After giving me the run around for a week and not answering phone calls and emails they cancelled on me because I simply asked for proof of insurance and a copy of their license. This is not good business. This leads me to believe they do not have insurance and are not licensed. I would never let them work for me.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They totally overcharged us. They ""fixed a shower handle, but in less than a month, same problem. Now we have to pay for another ~ different part as they ordered the wrong one first, which is why it didn't hold. They now told us we owe for the new part AND the labor. WHAT A CROCKED COMPANY! And, as one other review said, they are rude and DO NOT CARE about their customers!!! DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!!

We have used John Freed Plumbing for almost every plumbing job in our house since we bought it 20 years ago, from clogged drains to sink/disposal installation to everything in between. One of the few times we tried a different plumber, he said a certain job couldn't be done; then we called John Freed and they completed the job and did it right the first time. We had them come in again yesterday to work on a sink valve that caused a leak under the dishwasher. The plumber worked quickly but thoroughly, removed the dishwasher, and made sure we knew the next steps to take before installing another one. Over the past 20 years, John Freed Plumbing has earned our trust by providing quick and friendly service and a job well done at a fair price.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS!!!!

I wish my boyfriend read the reviews before making an appointment with them. All reviews are only ONE star for a reason! They are so RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL, it is ridiculous!

Old man rushed in and out of our home and got us for our money. He also made fun of a handicapped woman in her late 50's with multiple sclerosis for walking slow by walking behind her saying ""one Mississippi... two Mississippi.... etc."" Glanced at the toilet and told us we need a new one and then charged us $80 just for the 2 minutes of harrassment! Then he left our door wide open and it's snowing outside. We were livid. Wasted our $80 of christmas money on harrassment from an asshole.

We called and complained. Lady on the phone asked us sarcastically, ""what do u want me to do; Fire him?!"" We asked if she would be ok with him talking to HER mother like that. But she denies that the plumbers are assholes. So I reassured her by telling her to check the reviews. Obviously, we aren't the ONLY ones!!!!!!!

Please don't make the same mistake we did. Save yourself the money and hassle. Call a different company.

Definitely do not recommend. Made two appointments to have them look at a plumbing issue at one of our vacant rental properties. Did not show up or even call to advise regarding a reschedule. Even with the promise of future additional work at other rental properties it was not enough incentive to get even a call back. A huge waste of time waiting around for 4+ hours for someone to show up or call.

Absolutely horrible experience. First off, the technician they sent out to diagnose the situation is not the person I had a bad experience with, it was the actual owner. No communication skills whatsoever. At a time my family and I needed help, it was as if John Freed did not care at all. We were told by the technician that they would come out the next day at 9 A.M. to fix the problem and everything was all good. Then on my way to work I got a call from John Freed stating that they would just be wasting their time and that they would not be back at all. They had no problem cashing my check that I had to give them prior to them diagnosing the problem. I could go on and on, but I think you get my point. I called out a different plumber the next day (Pearsons Plumbing) and they had the problem fixed within two hours and all is good. Never in a million years would I deal with Freed Plumbing again.
