I cannot say enough good things and praises about this company! When you find a company that provides outstanding service from point of contact until issue is resolved, excellent customer service, fair prices, knowledgeable staff, clean, efficient, polite, friendly, thorough in explanation and a company that stands behind their work and their employees....you stick with this company and you sing out praises to your friends, neighbors and the local community in search of outstanding companies to work with, to trust, and to build a lasting relationship for repairs or replacements.

From the first time I called Frederick & Sons, I have stuck with them for all our plumbing and air conditioning needs. Now hear this, we just replaced our very old air conditioning unit on our 1970 something slump block home. Frederick & Sons installed a top of the line unit into our home and oh my goodness, what a difference in the coolness and the efficiency of this new unit; it will pay for itself in energy cost savings in no time at all! Anyone living in Arizona with the hot summers we have, knows just how important it is to have a good air conditioner and that maintaining the service on that much needed unit is vital. Days after the install of our new air conditioner, we had water coming up from a drain pipe in our laundry room floor, a shared wall for the laundry room and the room in the garage off to the side where the air conditioner return, the water softener, and a wash sink is located. Water was found on the floor of this shared wall. I called Frederick & Sons, they had Edward, one of their employees come out and that young man worked and worked and worked on the plumbing lines to find out where the blockage was in the lines. He couldn't unblock the line and was not sure if there was a broken pipe under the house. He did fix the problem of the water issue tentatively, until Leonard could come out and look over the situation. Mind you, this young man worked hard and their was no charge to us. A couple days later, Leonard showed up with three of his workers and they were fast at work. Leonard knows how the plumbing runs in some of the older homes so his diagnosis & fix to the blockage was soon resolved! Excellent!!! I was so happy. I thanked Leonard and....before I could ask him what the charge would be....Leonard stated, ""there will be no charge for this work today"", and I asked ""why?"", Leonard said, ""you just bought a brand new air conditioning unit from me, I am not going to charge you for flushing out a simple blockage in your pipe; we're good"", he said. I could have given him a great Big Bear Hug!!! But I didn't, of course :)
If you have a plumbing, heating or cooling problem, don't hesitate to make a call to the Family at Frederick & Sons; as for my family and myself, We Love them!!!

My water tank broke and required a replacement. I was told that it could be installed the next day. Laurie then called me back and said she had an opening and that the tech would be here later in the day. Communication via phone and email was great. I was given the time, updated arrival time and called by Robin when the she was 10 minutes away. She removed the old water heater, went to the dealer in Chandler to get a new one, returned and installed an American made unit professionally and quickly. I've used Frederick and Sons several times in the past, and I am never disappointed. I'd recommend them to anyone needing their services.

My master bath toilet did not flush. Junior came out last week to give me a quote. After looking at the toilet, he gave me a verbal quote of $398.00 and said a new turn off valve and flush value were needed. I said that price would not be possible. Junior said ""what can you do?"", I replied about $250.00."" He said ""if I can make that happen, can you go for that price?"" I reluctantly said "" ok"". He contacted the Kohler representative who confirmed they had the part. He left to get the part. He returned within the hour and spent 10 minutes making the repair. After I made payment, he then sent a invoice to my email. After he left, I retrieved the email which read ""Toilet tank orFlsh V/v Rebuild Complete Standard $249.00, Full Tank Valve or Flush Kit."" There was no breakdown of parts, labor, tax which I expected. My impression of this kind of business model leaves a lot to be desired. Did I pay $7.95 for a new flush valve? Why did he replace the turn off valve? It did not prevent toilet from flushing. How much was labor? How much was tax? I am a senior and this goes to show, we are not too old to learn valuable lessons.

Levi and the crew are as good as it gets when it comes to customer service and quality work. Always honest, informative, and very reliable. We just did a complete overhaul of our home plumbing and water systems. It wasn't an easy job due to the age of the home and an attic with zero ventilation. There was also work to be done with the natural gas, pipes to move. Junior, the technician, worked tirelessly to make sure our home was left upgraded and safe. And he always did so with a smile even while making countless trips up into our oven of an attic. Absolute professional. Can't say enough about these guys, I'll never use another company for plumbing and AC needs, which they also took care of for us. Give them a call, they'll take care of you!

They just came to check out our AC, because we were having issues with it. Turns out we had a big issue! Our tech called our AC manufacturer and determined that we were still under warranty. Turns out that we were! He's coming back as soon as the parts are in from the manufacturer to fix it, and he didn't even charge us for the time he spent today!

Special thanks to Junior and Levi, who replaced a cracked vent line in the guest bathroom. They strategically determined an appropriate way to resolve the issue and did the job with speed and efficiency, and a reasonable price. Will definitely use this company again for future needs!

We called in with a problem on our upstairs unit. They came the next day, right on time and super nice. Serviced both units and added coolant. Reasonable price. Had to call Sunday since it still wasn't cooling right, he returned immediately and fixed it perfectly. So happy with the service and response. Highly recommend!

We hired Frederick and sons to come out and do several projects at our home which we were remodeling. First, I completely agree with the other reviewer that Leonard, the father, is incredibly rude. However, Levi the son, is very pleasant and nice to work with. Our project was fairly large... We needed pipes moved, we needed a drain created for a bathtub that we converted to shower, a bath tub installed along with several other projects. We ended up having to have them come back because the drain they installed for the shower sat above the ground 2 inches and the drain they installed for the bath tub, was broken, dirty and banged up. Considering all the work they had done we thought these were just a small oversight and they did come back and fix them.

Fast forward to today. I had them scheduled to come out and install the plumbing for the kitchen sink, the bathroom sinks, install the dishwasher and the gas cooktop. They came out and there was an issue with the bathroom faucets. They called me and told me what the issue was and I immediately got on the phone and was trying to rectify the situation. I asked them if they could just move onto the kitchen sink, dishwasher and cooktop since we were planning on moving into the house tomorrow.

A half hour later I get a call from Leonard who advises me that he has pulled his workers from the job, that he doesn't want to deal with the hassle of the bathroom sinks and that they are gone and not coming back. I was completely shocked and told him that he did not need to do the bathroom faucets but could they please finish the rest of the work that they were there to do. He refused saying he wanted nothing to do with this job and would not be returning.

So now here we are moving into the house tomorrow, scheduled to have 25 people over to our house for Easter on Sunday and I have no cooktop, no dishwasher, and no faucets anywhere in my house. I am scrambling to find another plumber to come in and do the work that I scheduled with him over a week ago. I have never in my life seen such terrible customer service. To leave a person in a situation like this is ridiculous. I understand that the bathroom faucets wouldn't work and I told them it was fine, I would figure out another solution for the bathroom faucets but I asked them if they could please finish the rest of the work that I had hired them to do and they refused. I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone. The owner has absolutely no regard for his customers, would not hesitate to leave you in a bind and is an overall unpleasant person to deal with.

Frederick and Sons saved our vacation! At 10 p.m. on the night before we were scheduled to leave on our trip, I turned on our 12-year old Trane air conditioner to discover that it was not blowing cold air and the outside unit was making a terrible noise. I immediately turned it off and started calling 24/7 HVAC companies. The places that did answer the phone couldn't make it out until later the following day. I even spoke to one owner who seemed annoyed that I would call so late, despite their site advertising 24/7 service. Finally found a company who gave us a window of 10-1 the following day. Those several hours would have put us way behind schedule, so I started calling more places the next morning.

At about 7:30 a.m., I called Frederick & Sons and spoke to Leonard. He said he had a couple of techs nearby and would get them to our house by 9 a.m.. He said he'd call me right back to confirm. Honestly, I was skeptical after all the no-goes and broad time windows from the other companies. Leonard was true to his word and called back shortly to say he could get someone here in 30 minutes. Manuel and Matt arrived even faster than promised and were here around 8:15 a.m., so I cancelled the later appt with the other company.

Oh, happy day! Manuel and Matt replaced the capacitor, tested the unit, and the angels sang (i.e., I heard strong, cool air blowing). They told me they confirmed that the capacitor was bad and that they had to install it to check the system. They said everything else looked good. Manuel and Matt were friendly and professional, and took care of the problem quickly.

What I really appreciated was that they told me if I didn't want to pay for the capacitor, I was not obliged to keep it (they had to install it to test it, but would remove it and just charge for the service call). With the age of the A/C, they could easily have told me it was a much bigger problem, and I would have had no way of knowing if they were telling the truth. Of course, I gladly paid for the capacitor and the service, and I believe the price was reasonable and fair.

I will not hesitate to contact Frederick and Sons for HVAC/plumbing needs in the future!
