Sometime ago I called Freddy Mullis Plumbing to replace an anode rod in 80 gallon water heater. He send a young inexperienced technician to install the rod. This rod is easily removed by unscrewing the old one and screwing the new one in. Due to inexperience the threads on the new rod were cross threaded and ruined the rod at a cost of approximately $80. Upon realizing that he had to remove the damaged rod with considerable difficulty his behavior became unacceptable as he began cursing and throwing a tantrum. He then placed a call to Freddy to bring another rod and complete the replacement. Freddy completed the job very quickly and I was presented a bill for $315. Seems unreasonable for a simple rod replacement. My thinking is that I paid for both rods and double labor to do the job twice. I tend to support local businesses at every chance and realize that anybody can have a bad day. When the next plumbing job came up, I called Freddy again explaining that there was a shortage of hot water in the same tank. He could not identify the problem with my description over the phone but sent another inexperienced technician for the repair. After testing the newly replaced thermostats and heating elements, I knew there was a problem when he started reading the instructions for the recirculating system. He admitted that he knew nothing about my system. The same was true with Freddy. After 45 minutes of looking at the water heater with half the time on the phone with Freddy he was unable to identify or repair the problem. While on the phone he was instructed to use 10"""" Channel Lock pliers to close a plastic isolation valve in the recirculating water system. I overruled the order explaining it would do no good since the system was already off. In spite of my order, he closed it anyway and damaged the delicate valve. In a final phone conversation, Freddy ordered him to bring the recirculating system instructions to the office. Due to the incompetence I encountered in two separate visits from Freddy Mullis Plumbing, I elected to cancel the repair based on their poor performance. I do not feel that they could complete this repair correctly since it was a learning experience for theI left a message with their office secretary to make arrangements to return all of the paperwork they had taken and received a call from Freddy later that day saying he would bring the manuals back along with a bill for $180. Again I was left with disappointment and frustration over his call and requesting payment for doing nothing and leaving me with a damaged valve. I do not expect to have the recirculating system manuals returned since I refused payment based on their customer treatment, incompetence and inability to perform the work needed. I also found Freddy on both visits to be arrogant and difficult to work with. My conclusion is that Freddy sent someone totally unqualified but expected to charge an amount of money equal to what a true professional would receive for a quick and accurate plumbing repair. I believe the first repair cost was twice what it should have been and the second repair attempt didn't justify any money at all.

I called Freddie Mullis out and he was here asap! He was friendly, fast and affordable! Couldn't have asked for better experience! I will definately use him again next time!

Huge shout out to Kevin with Freddie Mullis Plumbing!!! My kiddo 1/2 asleep dropped a stupid Wendy's kids toy down the toilet. It wasn't 100% blocked and I tried my hardest to get it out. Called Freddie Mullis, Kevin called me back and was out here the next day. Stayed in communication with me since he was coming after another job, to let me know when he'd be here and then confirmed since I said I was available, that it was a good time to take a look. 0% judgement on the fact my kiddo woke up and did #2 in the non-working toilet. Tried first, a less costly attempt, before moving to the more drastic. After the massacre of the toy was rounded up and the toilet was back to functioning, Kevin even took a look at some outside spigots to weigh in on options to fix correctly before they got knocked off again. Very reasonable, local, and friendly. Bonus points- My kiddo is ASD and gets fixated on things, kiddo was sure robot toy would be ok, Kevin took my lead and confirmed that the toy was gone, like not coming back, gone. Hopefully won't have to call again, but if I do have a plumbing issue, they are now my go-to. Was also advised that Freddie knows everyone, so for recommendations call the office and just ask. Love the whole promotion of locals promoting locals.
