I hired Fred to excavate and replace a garage floor. At first he seemed honest and certainly friendly enough. We gave him a deposit and was excited for work to begin. While it took a week or two to begin work, we were patient. Fred showed up on the first day of work and literally dropped two guys off at our house, one of which he admitted to hiring that day. Furthermore, he admitted to not really knowing the individual. His crew worked for about six hours that day. Since then no one has returned to work. Overall, in the six weeks since being given a work agreement, he has shown up once. He has given excuses such as: he could not rent the equipment needed, he was sick, one of his crew was sick, his son was sick, and he had a family emergency. He was extremely unresponsive to communication and eventually just completely ignored all attempts to reach out to him. Now I have a broken up garage floor and have to go to court to get any of my deposit back from this guy. He may be a good contact for simple plumbing jobs, however with this project, he seemed totally unprepared and did not have the resources needed to actually complete the job. Totally unprofessional.
I'm so glad I chose Fred to fix a broken sewer line outside my house. He is very knowledgeable, thorough and detail oriented with his work. He explained everything that he was doing throughout the process. He was way cheaper than some of the other corporate companies that I got quotes from. I will definitely recommend him to anyone looking for plumbing work.
Jenny S.Fred and his guys have been to our house multiple times they are on time, very professional and the prices are great! they will be back soon to do an over head sewer for us, I would definitely recommend them for any plumbing needs you might have.
Corey M.Fred came out to give us a quote and failed to give us a quote for an entire week. We trusted he would give us a reasonable price and decided to support a friend of the family's business so allowed him to do the work. He cancelled on us back to back days and then finally showed up after we sent a text given an ultimatum of going with another company if he didn't show up like he originally said he would. I sent pictures of sink and faucet combo and water filtration system that I purchased so he would be able to give me a quote and be prepared for what he needed for the job. He arrived at 10am and left at 4pm. He was gone from 11am-12:30pm to go purchase plumbing parts and had to leave again from 3-3:30pm. So all in all he was working on the actual project for 4 hours along with two other workers who only helped him remove sink and drill 6 holes for water line. I continued to ask how much it was going to cost so I could get him cash and he kept deflecting. He finished and then sent me a bill later that day for $1400.00. I kindly asked if he could give me a detail bill and receipts of plumbing parts he purchased asking him how he could charge that much when I am the person who purchased the sink, faucet and water system. He said the 2 P-traps, 2 shut off valves, plastic flex water line, and water filtration valves cost $200 in materials which then means he was charging me over $300 in labor. I asked again for a more detailed quote and he told me he only books flat rates for either a half day or full day and that he should've charged me $1800-$2400 but he gave us a ""deal"". If you want to spend an astronomical amount of money on a basic plumbing job I guess he is your guy. Otherwise, there are many other more reasonable and reputable plumbers out there.
Hilary W.I would never recommend this plumbing business. He charged us more than double of other plumbing companies. We thought we'd help out a family friend who was starting a new business. We asked for a quote for a whole week and never got one. He cancelled on us twice and didn't send an invoice until after he left. He was training 2 men as he was doing the work as well. He also had to use one of my husbands tools because he didn't have them. We bought all of the materials for him. He charged us $350 an hour for labor. We tried talking to them about it and he blocked both my husband and I. I don't recommend anyone using him. Overall a $600 job cost is $1400. Absolutely ridiculous
Incredible customer service!!! I highly recommend Fred and Son's Plumbing (and I am not easy to please). He responded quickly, explained the work needed and quoted a fair price. It is easy to tell that Fred is passionate about his job and takes a HUGE amount of pride in the work that he does. I have had a good deal of work done in my home and Fred is the 1st contractor that I would hire again without hesitation.
Fred came highly recommended so we called him Monday evening when we noticed we had water in our basement. Not only did he try to troubleshoot by phone, but was here within two hours of our call (he had one call before us). Thankfully, it was a sump pump issue. Fred was swift in his diagnosis, running to the store for parts and fixing everything. His pricing is very reasonable. If you need a trustworthy plumber, Fred's the one to call!!
