Wausau locals have relied on us for more than 100 years. Frasier's is a family-run company focused on offering outstanding plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and electrical services. Our team consists of friendly, professional technicians who are well-equipped to handle any residential comfort challenge. We are thrilled to introduce our whole-home generator services!
Since our establishment in 1918, we have been deeply connected to the communities we call home. Just like you, we are part of this community.
George Frasier founded our company, and now Phil and Joanna Frasier, the fourth generation, carry on the legacy. We are proud to have the fifth generation contributing in different capacities.
We view our team as family, and our achievements are thanks to the dedication of many generations of employees in Rhinelander. Many devoted team members from the Northwoods have contributed to making Frasier's the top home service company in Northern Wisconsin!
Phil Frasier, a native of Rhinelander, is the fourth-generation owner of Frasier's Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling. From a young age, Phil was involved in the Frasier's shop. When he moved back to the area with his family in 1996, he began as a service technician, building his career from the ground up. Through dedication, he earned his HVAC certifications and ultimately his Plumber's License.
He works hand-in-hand with the Frasier's team to ensure that each customer receives top-tier service.

unfortunately we had trusted Frasier's Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling company with our heating. They came on Dec 19th to do the annual check were here over an hour saying everything was in great shape no issues. We left on the 20th to pick up our kids and their families they were flying into chicago. We have a nest so we turned the heat up to 70 3 hours before they were going to arrive. We arrived and the house was at 50 degrees... So we have the partner plan and we called 2 hours later they were out and said the heat exchanger was bad.. WE JUST had it replaced in October a year earlier.. UGH they said they could not really help us until Monday! it was Friday night. And then they said they did not know if the warranty would cover it.. WHAT it was less than two years old and we still had another year on our furnace. either way we needed heat. So we called them on Saturday so see what was going on? In the mean time I turned all the heated floors on and bought heaters.. . On Saturday we were told they would get back to us on Monday if it would be covered.. WE called Monday and no update they charged us 288 to look at it on Friday. AMAZING SINCE IT WAS fine on Wednesday.. Jon was in pain and I took him to the ER he had 2 broken ribs so I was in the ER talking to the tech who was just running up the bill. Why checking everything that the other tech on Wednesday had just checked.. AND he said he could not leave without me giving him my credit card info. So it is now Dec 30th and NO WORD from Frasier's we called 5 or 6 times. Then we called Bob at Badgers who came out. And confirmed that the heat exchanger was bad. He said he was sure Frasier's would honor the warranty.. WELL we can not wait any longer the electric heat is costing way more and is not really safe to use long time. Bob offered some heaters that we could use.. NICE why didn't Frasier's offer anything. Bob came back out on Friday and measured the furnace we will order a new one. BEWARE of FRASIER'S!!! Please Don't let this happen to you!!! Bob at Badgers 715-891-2595 and Pat Crum for Plumbing both Honest and will be there if you need them!!
STILL NO WORD FROM FRASIER'S they promised to call me back on Friday Dec 28th but AGAIN NO CALL. I canceled my Preferred Partner contract needless to say.. I believe they owe me $$$$ the furnace says they will credit you 100 if they are not out within an hour of your call they were not.. PLUS they changed me 288.. And I paid on the the 19th for the other tech to clean and check the furnace that was 191.... OMG THEY ARE BAD NEWS.. Share this with others who live in this area!!
This company is without question the most reliable and knowledgeable HVAC/PLUMBING company in the entire Northern part of Wisconsin. They provide wonderful regular service as well as spot-on emergency service. I've been using them for 20 plus years and have always been delighted. Today's service call by Gene and new hire Joe was very timely and their diagnostic ability was fabulous. They don't leave until the job is done and perfectly performed. This whole company and BOTH THESE SERVICE MEN KNOW THEIR STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! R D Zimmerman MD. Phelps,Wi.
Woohoo is right! Fantastic service from Frasier's today (as usual)! Prompt response, email profiles of the technicians doing the service, and pleasant, organized people in the office. Email copy of the invoice and quote for possible additional services.
I couldn't be happier with this experience with Frasier's!
Thank you!
If you need timely service, Frasier's provided that when we called due to furnace that did not ignite when thermostat was turned up. The technician was polite, had a good personality and got work done in timely fashion.
I did not give a 5 star due to labor costs. There was a $99 service charge to come out to diagnose, & another $99 to come out to replace an igniter they did not have in stock. The diagnostic charge was $69. They do not give you an hourly rate for labor. So we had to pay $168 for diagnosis on his 1st visit, whether we used them or not. So we decide to have them order and install part. The fellow was on site a maximum of 45 min to install part. Our total bill was about $520. $257 for travel & diagnosis, and remainder for part & labor. When I later looked up part, it could be found for about $50. So it seems labor charge runs about $260 for 45 minutes of work. I need to find someone that is up front about labor charge and doesn't charge $99 for mileage for each visit when the technician lives in my community.

John K.Charged $1500 in July 2016 to clean out and trace sewer line location. They left with the sewer line clogged and traced the sewer line to the wrong street. Also handed me additional 3000 quote to replace the sewer to the side walk which may or may not fix the problem. After consulting with the city, I had X Rooter come in and blow the line open for $280. X-Rooter thought Frasiers were wrong in locating line. Bring in another plumber this spring when problem returned. They dug up my driveway and yard on Fraiers info. No sewer line where Fraisers stated. By shining a flashlight down the clean outs determined sewer line runs opposite direction of what Fraiser claimed with a camera and Sonar.
Melodee W.Gene was very thorough and explained everything. He even offered information on seasonal pricing packages and yearly inspection discount plans with monthly nominal fees...He offered a logical fix to what could be a complicated issue...I am impressed, he would be my first call for plumbing/heating/a/c and hot water heater issues!
My 91 year old stepfather lost heat in part of his heating system. He called Frasier's and the service technician said that his entire heating system needs to be replaced and wrote out an estimate of $7,500. I suggested he get a second opinion. He called another company and the problem was a sticky valve which he replaced for $100. I found out the service technicians get a bonus for the amount they sell. I think the Fraiser guy thought my 91 year old stepfather was an easy mark. If you need to call these guys, make sure you get a second opinion.
Linda A.We had an emergency flood in our lake home. Frazier's was the only plumber in the area to answer the phone in winter conditions. Several companies that I left messages with never got back to me. Colton was at out house in about 25 minutes. He went above and beyond to get the water turned off. The water turnoff was in our basement which was flooded with 3 ft of water. The water was freezing, and yet he waded through it. He then was equipped with the drill to drill holes in the door to let the water out since the door was swollen shut. Great company! We used them before to install a furnace in the dead of winter, and other fixes, and they were always prompt and efficient.
Patricia P.Frasier's is so well run from taking my call regarding service to coming out when they said they would. And the work was done efficiently and with no mess. I would use them again in a heartbeat!
Kathryn M.Aaron came out to look at our water tank. He was able to remedy the problem and did a nice job. The bill was a shocker, but I guess that is what it costs to fix things. I am always looking at things from the standpoint of a teacher and what we make...sigh....should have been a plumber. It pays better.
