Don't waste your time calling these people. We contacted them at 4:30 in the morning because we had a broken some pump, a flooded basement, and no hot water. We were told someone would come to the house between noon and 3:00 p.m. After multiple phone calls the plumber arrived at 4:00 p.m. with no sump pump. He assured us that someone else would be coming with a pump and it would be fixed by the end of the day. Needless to say our pump did not get fixed and we still have standing water in our basement.
This is no way to run a business.
They take advantage of the elderly. They tried to sell my father a new furnace 2 times. And it's because they misdiagnosed or damaged the furnace while doing service. Don't trust them as far as I could throw them.
Nicholas P.Called them because my ac was out,no call no show, outsourced customer service was useless, would not recommend these guys.
Alan S.This week a tech came for a general maintenance. He was not qualified to check the PSI of my unit. Didn't know how to do it. He had no coolant with him. They said they would be back the next day between 4 and 7. No one showed. Called at nine and rescheduled for next day between 2-4. Again no one showed. Called office and they told me I was not on schedule. Never would use them again.
I spent $13K on a full Lennox system in 2017. I have since had at least 7-8 calls in less than 2 years with nothing but problems. My older 25 year old system was much better because I just had to spent $300 every few years for refrigerant. I went with Fras-Air because they had a favorable financing plan available. I don't believe that the products are bad...I believe the installation was shoddy though. I have lost AC in the dead of summer multiple occasions, and often they don't have the parts when they arrive so I have to wait an additional day w/o AC. I have requested numerous times about their corporate location POC name(s) and Phone #, but they say that they don't know. My wife and I are losing our patience. Thinking about small claims court and other avenues if they do not swap out system. I don't want to keep contacting them every 4 months again for the next few years like I have already done for the first 2 years after install.
I called 7:00 to have my air conditioner fixed. They guaranteed to come between 10-12
I waited in the house for 5 hrs for them to come and no one showed up or called. When I called the office they said
Yeah this will not happen today.
Seriously ! That's how to talk to customers and no one called to say they can't come.
This company is run by clowns! My heating broke in December of 2018. The tech who came solved the problem then recommended a new fuse to help the work load of the motor. He installed a 60 amp fuse for a AC/heat outdoor unit that takes 40 amps max. I did know this at that time. In mid April when I wanted to use the AC for a unseasonably hot weekend again it was not working. I called them back to come diagnose the problem but I didn't think it was fair to be charged a diagnosis fee since a tech was at my house just 4 months ago. They refused. One day after that I noticed my outdoor unit looked like it caught on fire. All the wires leading into the motor box were melted in half and the top grate was charred. So I called again this time speaking to the manager. He set up a tech time and date and said the diagnosis fee would be waived. Well when that tech came of course he knew nothing about it so I had to pay the fee. He diagnosed that I needed a new motor. I asked if the fuse that was installed in December could have anything to do with it he replied no and quickly brushed it off. This tech told me to call the main office after he put his work order in to find out when the part would come in, it had to be ordered, and to set up a date and time for a tech to install it. That is exactly what I did. This was a Tuesday night and the service person I spoke to said the part would come in on Friday and that they would give me a call to set up a time for that Friday. Well come Friday early afternoon I still hadn't heard from them so I called again. The service person I spoke with told me that my motor came in Thursday and the tech came to my house but no one was home. Really??? You set up a tech time and date but don't inform the customer! This was Memorial Day weekend and the next available appointment was Monday even though I was told the motor would be replaced on that Friday. Well on Monday the tech came and installed the new motor and AC still not working. He said I need a new control panel. Same thing wait until I put the work order in then call get a quote and set up a date and time. That's what I tried to do. When I called they said they would have to call me back and of course no one did. I called back Tuesday and spoke to the manager this time because at this point it's now June and my AC still not fixed. He never gave me a quote because the person who does that was on her break but he'd have her call me back. Which she never did. I spoke to this manager so many times he knew who I was and what the problem was. He offered to give me a 10% discount on the motor which I said was not acceptable. He told me he'd look into it to see if he could do more. Never got a call back and that's when I decided to go with a different heating and cooling company that came the day after I called and installed the new control panel the very next day. I would never use fras air again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone.
Boris T.Ductless mini system,4 Ton, Gave me quote for $48K, (this is not misspelling error).
We used Fras-Air as a service provider for 4 years and were overall satisfied with their services. So, naturally, when we needed a new central air system this summer, they were one of the quotes we solicited. The sales person, Joe, acted as though they would be doing us a favor by providing the service and then quoted a 3 ton unit at almost $20,000, the SAME exact unit/specs that two other companies quoted at considerably less than 1/2 that amount. When I told him I knew he could do better than that (trying not to laugh when I saw the actual number he proposed), he agreed to bring the price down $800, acting as if that was really going to put them in a tough position. During our visit, before I saw the pricing, I sensed I was being talked to as a woman ripe for being taken advantage of on the business front (as a business owner of 20 years, my eyes are wide open about this)...and that is exactly what happened. We have since cancelled our maintenance contract with Fras-Air out of principle. Buyer beware!
Rob G.I have to say. Fras air conditioning section. Has been nothing but professional. My central air unit blew out and it's 20+ years old. Fras came out and gave me the lowest price to replace whole entire unit as opposed to others who wanted 2-3 thousand more just to replace parts of it. When then came out one piece wasn't compatible through no fault of theirs, they scoured all their resources looking for exact part or something comparable and in the meantime gave me a window ac unit to use till they could install the central air. They kept me in the loop every step of the way and explained what was happening in detail and they were professional and polite and I'm glad we went with them.
