I installed a new bidet in our bathroom over the weekend and two days later learned that my fidgeting with an old pipe caused a leak. frantz plumbing took our call at 8:30, had someone to the house in less than an hour and had diagnosed and repaired the leak by 10:30 a.m. at a price that was manageable.

The staff of Frantz Plumbing provided outstanding support in running a gas line.
I worked directly with Doug and he was with us every step of the way.
The line required a long run and because of tree roots, we had to use an air spade.
Doug also noticed the gas meter was likely not adequate to handle the current residential needs plus the new demands.
He worked with the gas company to have a new meter installed.
He was present for both the meter and gas line installation.
Doug was always very responsive.
Everyone from Frantz was very professional.

If you want to get screwed call Frantz Plumbing!!!!! He came to to a friends mobile home to install heat tape. This woman is a widow and elderly! Heat tape for this Job Costs no more than $40.00 for the parts Including a 6ft piece of foam insulation. He charged this Lady $150.00 just for the part!!!!! And then charges her another $200.00 For labor to do a job that took a little over an hour!!! This guy Is a crook!!!!!!!! He took advantage of a widow woman! How low can you get? I have been a contractor for over 40yrs Just so you know that I know what I am talking about.

First, allow me to say that what I'm typing is factual. I will keep emotions out of it. I'm only telling you about my own experience, please use your best judgement if you would like to use Frantz Plumbing. First off, the ladies in the office that I spoke to on the phone were extremely nice and helpful. My issues lies with Doug, the fellow who gave me the estimate on the job. First and foremost, there was little to no follow up. If I'm looking for a plumber to complete work, that means I'm looking to give THEM money, so I should not have to chase down anyone from that company for a follow up. The other companies I received estimates from were not this way, but Frantz, or more specifically Doug was. My original meeting for an estimate was delayed a week. Then I received a phone call from Doug asking if we could reschedule again the day before the second scheduled meeting. I asked that it take place, and it did, but only after I told him we cannot reschedule. After that, it took several follow up calls to get a response back. When I finally received the estimate, it did not include a price on the entire job (which was clearly outlined as a request up front by me). It took several more follow ups over the next week to simply get a return call. From there it took another week or so, keep in mind all the while Doug saying they can get this job done, before I finally gave up. Frantz's estimate was the lowest....because it did not include the entire job....I should have known that was a sales gimmick, but I wanted three full estimates, and if Frantz's was the lowest I would have gone with them....but there is no way to tell. Why is there no way to tell? Simply because I gave up and found another plumber, who met me the same day I called, had an estimate to me in two days, and is now going to complete the work. To whomever owns Frantz Plumbing I would offer this advice...don't practice business this way.

Find a more affordable and honest plumber that cares about you. They spent 8 hours just to diagnosis and slapped us with 1000 bill for that. Even googles says a high end plumber in Chambersburg PA is 700 and that actually includes fixing the issue. We fixed it ourselves for 300. They charge double for parts too
